It's probably happing because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted). When you enabled photo stream on your PC you would have only received photos from the last 30 days.
To transfer older photos to your computer, create a shared photo stream that contains them and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

Jpegs can't have transparent areas. Most likely you had layers and were forced to save "as a copy", which means that the image which remains open in PSE is not the jpg. A file saved as a copy makes a copy in the save format, but it's not like save as where you now see the newly saved version instead of the original. The original remains open and unsaved onscreen.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 on Windows, the tab key functions differently. How do I change it so that it only selects text input fields?

The answer is: The bug is in the UI. Speech recognition was enabled, by default it uses the bare escape key as a "mic on" indicator, and it does not leave any trace in the keybord configuration. So that is the bug. It needs to leave a trace there, a la: "X Listen-for-voice-command ^" under Mission Control.

The interface IF_RSPLFA_INFOPROV_DESC
provides methods for retrieving the most important properties of an InfoProvider from the point of view of the implementation class of a planning function type.
Methods GET_T_CHARNM and GET_T_KEYFNM return the names of the characteristics and key figures in the InfoProvider.
You can get the properties of the InfoObjects and compound information by calling method GET_TAB_IOBJ_PRO and GET_TAB_IOBJ_CMP .

Used tvtag, now can't get the tab to stop coming up on startup

I used TVTag in the past, now everytime I open Mozilla Firefox, the page comes up telling me it has been shut down. I have checked all my settings, my start page is listed as my speed dial with also comes up in a new tab. How can I make this stop?

This is an odd one. First, has it gotten any water on/in it?
If so, stop using it and let it dry out completely before you turn it on again or plug it into power. Put it in a warm dry place. If possible, put one of those little desiccant pouched with it to pull as much moisture away as possible.
If your sure it is not a moisture issue, you could try recovering it.
Do that this way:
1) Connect the nano to your computer
2) Run iTunes
3) Hold down the volume up, volume down and sleep buttons at the same time.
4) Wait for iTunes to bring up a dialog then let the buttons go.
5) iTunes will then want to download a recovery tool and recover it. Do that.
If that works, let us know.

Yes, it was my security software. I found out that .GIF files are very commonly used for internet graphics, particularly animations and ads. I use Kaspersky Internet Security. I had the anti-banner setting enabled, which stopped the display of .GIF files. I'd rather not see all the ads, but I've found I can very easily disable the anti-banner setting to view a particular page and then enable it again to avoid the ads when I read the news. There aren't that many pages that are entirely made up on .GIF files.

I NOT download mail on laptop (but leave it for dl to my desktop); how can I get the lapt to recog what it already in its inbox and not add new copies each time

I use a small Acer laptop on trips. I read email on it, but leave the mail on the server (POP acct at my university) for download at home onto my desktop. My problem is that the laptop does not recognize what it has already copied to my inbox, and so adds a new copy of all mail (that is on server) each time I "get" my mail. Is there some way that I can get it to only "get" what mail it does not already have ?

HT3399 Is this still valid on mountian lion? I can't get the F2 to behave as regular F2 with standard config and holding the Fn key.

If I disable the option to use the special keys, they work as specified... F2 will behave as normal F2 and Fn-F2 will raise brightness. But the revers is not working for me on Mountain Lion .

An A&I will install a fresh OS X - hopefully eliminating whatever happened with the AT&T disk. You would, of course, have to update OS X to current levels for 10.2.

Is your macbook mid2011 or newer if it is air or early 2011 or newer if it is pro. If not it does not support mirror and you would need a third party app such as www.airparrot.com . If it is a compatable mac then post again and give a little detail of your set up and what the problems are.
