Can I go back to PS CS6 and LR5 if I drop a CC membership?

I currently use Photoshop CS6 and LR5.  I am thinking of giving the CC $9.99 deal for these two applications a try for a year.  If I don't like CC after a year can I go back to the CS6 and LR5 products that I own?

Yes.

  • HT201250 I accidentally didn't save a document on my desktop--a report.  Can I go back with time machine and recover my desktop and save the file?

I accidentally didn't save a document on my desktop--a report.  Can I go back with time machine and recover my desktop and save the file?

If you saved it at least once, then time machine should have a copy of the document at the state you last saved it.  I'm guessing tha's not the case however or the copy of the file would still be on your Desktop.
If you never saved it a single time, yet closed the window and dismissed the warnings about an unsaved document, then you are out of luck as far as I know.

  • Can I manually back up cookies.sqlite and use that file to restore my important cookies after a HD reformat?

I read the first suggested article before posting this question, but it wasn't specific enough so I was forced to comment, "This article fails to specify use of the backed up file in the event of a system/HDD reformat." The article reveals that the profile folder name must match (match WHAT in this scenario?), but does not reveal if any of the files within the profile have that specific identification embedded in them [which might result in logical error or error messages, and failure to accomplish desired goal]. It also does not say if all I want to do is back up the cookies, whether or not will backing up cookies.sqlite and placing it in the new default profile after the system reinstallation/hard drive reformat work.
Let me get more general in the event I'm not communicating what I wish to: I don't want to use a confusing, perhaps badly-written Firefox add-on to do this. I have a few secure sites I visit that give me a really hard time when I update or reformat, like my bank and NetFlix. Both parties CLAIM that I am "attempting to access your account from a different computer," but their security protocol writers are MORONS and liars, because it is NOT a different computer; instead of storing the STATIC MAC address of my computer, which DOES identify the specific computer attempting access, they store a number of different bits of data which are VOLATILE and DYNAMIC [in cookies], and I have to go through this bullcrap of accessing my email account and entering in a verifying one-time-use code to get to my own [epithet for solid waste matter]. So, will I be able to do what I want just by manually backing up cookies.sqlite and placing it in the appropriate directory when needed? It should be a very simple matter for these idiot security experts to query systems for the MAC addresses or to get users to supply it manually (it's easy to find), but NO! That would make SENSE, be EASY, and MORE EFFECTIVELY MANAGE THE SECURE NETWORKS. My idiot bank does not even allow the use of special characters necessary for the creation of sophisticated passwords [that would take over a quintillion years to hack via a Brute Force attack].

You can backup specific files from the Firefox Profile Folder and restore them when needed.<br />
This shouldn't pose a problem wit SQLite database files like cookies.sqlite.<br />
With other files you may have to be more cautious though.

You may want to backup the permissions.sqlite file that stores exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation.

yes, given enough space on the destination drive (your library may grow over time). also, the drive needs to be connected directly to your Mac.
you might want to make sure the drive is not excluded from TM backups by checking in system preferences > time machine > options.
also, as for moving your iTunes library, see this read for tips/instructions.

Can a ipod classic 160gb back cover, headphone jack and battery work/with on a 120 gb ipod classic?

Yes, the only difference is the HD capacity, the other physical attributes are the same, as there are paddings in the 120gb casing.

  • I want to get CC out of my computer, and go back to Indesign CS6 and convert my files to IDML

I have never liked CC on my computer.  It does very weird things, freezes sometimes, and I have converted back to CS6 and updated to latest version, which of course is way behind what CC is at (v 10 something now?).  However, when I open my newly saved CC file as an Indesign IDML file, it loses the file name I gave it, and reopens it as "untitled" -- and this is making me crazy.  What is going on???

Normal behavior. IDML files always open as untitled.

My iPad has the Itunes logo and USB cable on screen. Can I still back up my files?

If you haven't already done so, its unlikely.
You can try holding both the home and power buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.

  • How can I get back a pages file and its backup if I did not save them to my documents?

    Hallo community!
My mac got stock on a website because of a java update so I was forced to shut down the computer using the on-botton. Upon restarting my work on Pages I clicked on the file I was working on so as to open both the file and pages but the file wouldnt open. I checked if I had also saved the file on my documents to try to restart it from there. But this file comes originally from a USB which I dont have at this moment although I could kee on working on this file without the usb. The file is not my documents yet it shows on the last files-list of pages.
I cant open this file anymore, maybe because I did not save it to my files. Although this is strange because I even named another file I worked on along this first document. Enfin, the first file even has a backup according to the list but the backup wont open either. I don't know how to get this file back I am in big trouble If I dont get to open it soon! I hope somebody can help me. Anyone knows a trick or something!?

    What version of Pages?
It sounds like it may be damaged.
You do not have to save to Documents.

  • I used the migrator utility to transfer music and picture from my old PC and now I have 2 accounts on my new Mac, how can I get back to one account and still have the music and photos transfered ?

I used the migrator utility to transfer itunes and photos from my old PC to my new Mac and ended up with 2 accounts on my new computer. How do I transfer the music and photos and only have the 1 account on the new Mac ?

That's not easy.  The Windows migration tool makes a new user account, and you can't prevent it.
You may be able to transfer what you want manually, but it's not quick or easy.  See Transferring files from one User Account to another.

I am currently in Brazil traveling back to NYC tmw. I accidently , .... playing around with my 13 yr old turned on the voice control.voice over (?) and signed in using "portuguese -Brazilian " as the language of choice even though for the past 4 months I had it set to U.S. English. Now it answers only in Music mode, won't move out of it and in a portuguese that sounds more lie martian than any language spoken on earth. How do I re-set the Nano, get out of this config and back to settings. Anyone out there with an answer since I would like to use tmw on the plane ride home  - 9.5 hours. Thks to all ////
