When you say converted, do you mean you got a dialogue box after double clicking saying the file needed to be converted? Or some other kind of procedure. thanks again.

Yes, the .fla file can be opened on either platform. Don't forget to include any external files that you may have used, and fonts that you have embedded into the fla.

The Safari, mail, contact is all OK to "hand off" between iPhone, iPad,and Macbook Pro.
The problem I have now is that iWork on Macbook Pro can not "hand off" to iPhone & iPad.
But iWork on iPhone or iPad can hand off to Macbook Pro.
Does there anybody have the same problem?

Im having the same issue. But I can't even get my iOS devices to handoff iWork. Absolutely nothing from iWork.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Can't open xls file created by windows excel

ack, this whole thing is frustrating. I can create new .numbers documents, save them as Excel documents, and those resulting .xls documents will open fine. HOWEVER, if I grab an old .xls document from a time machine backup (over a month ago), I cannot open it. Nor can I open an newly saved .xls document saved from the same original .numbers file.
It would seem that the only thing I can do now is take those old .numbers files and copy/paste the content into a brand new .numbers file. After saving as, the resulting .xls files open fine (with the usual "import warnings", but I'm used to those )

Strange that I can save a pdf file created in windows 8.1 to my cloud storage, but then I don't see it when I open my account. What is strange is that when I try again to save the file, system ask me to change the file name or over write current file. But file not present in my drive. Any help would be much appreciated

How can I make my AVCHD mov. files work in premier pro?

I used Panasonic HDC-SD60 for a short film for work. This has over about 40 clips with around 3 hours of footage However when I import the .mov files from the media browser the audio seems fine but the footage is in a sort of slow mo, and out of sync. I want to edit and do post-production using adobe premier pro, and after effects. However the footage seems to be working in final cut X. There is no lag with playback on quicktime either. What's making this happen? I've read about variable frame rates, it's seems most common in iPhones and tablets? Is that something that the panasonic do as well? Is there a fix? Or should I jump ship and make do with a slightly more limited features of Final Cut?

Why can't my PC open my Premiere CC 2014 file created on a MAC? (don't have permission/unknown error)

I've been using my personal computer at work for a month. Today I received my work PC. When I try and open my project files on the PC it say an unknown error has occurred. When I use the open function it says I don't have permission. What's up with that Adobe?

I’m trying to install this “copious dogs” mod on my work computer (MacBook Pro).
I can’t open the JAR file. I get an error message saying “Copious dogs … cannot be launched. Check the Console for possible errors …”
I’ve been on all kinds of boards that tell me to install a bunch of Java apps and whatnot. None of that has worked.
I’ve found other boards that say to open the .jar file with my archive utility. I can do that and get to a “cpgz” file. But then when I try to open that I get another .jar file – which I can’t open.
Other boards say to go to the apple store and download “Unarchiver.”
But when I go to the mac store and search for “unarchiver” I’m taken to a “Dashboard Widgets: iPhone News” download – and that’s about when I start to pull my hair out and give up.
What am I doing wrong ?

Can i use pro res files in iMovie even though i don't have Final Cut Pro?

I'm expecting some film footage to be delivered to me thats being delivered in a Pro Res format. Since my request to the company I've realised that it seems that I might not be able to import the Pro Res files into iMovie on my iMac if I don't have Final Cut Pro (FCP) installed. Is this correct? If so, is there a simple way I can import the format without having to go to the expense of buying FCP?

I can't work on Premier Pro CC after I install OS Maverick

After I upgrade to OS X Mavericks the Premier Pro CC stop to work. When I open any old project the software open the project but I can't do any thing because the system crash or If I create any new project on Premier Pro and try to import any file, the software open the import window but 2 seconds after that the window disappears, the same thing happened with another functions like project manager.
I'm working in 27 Imac that I bought this year with a lot of ram.

I got two 24inch LED Displays + MacBook Pro 15inch Retina - and ProCC only works on one display. I can not span my work across two monitors!?!?! Weird
What happens when I try to drag ProCC across two different screens, the second screen I am moving to goes transparent as shown:
When I release the mouse button - the second display ProCC screen does a magic trick and goes invisible....ooooooooo

Mac won't open Premiere Project CC files created from PC

Hi,
I am helping a friend edit a series of short videos. He is on a Mac with the latest OS using Premiere Pro CC. I am on a PC with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit also using Premiere Pro CC. I did the rough cut for the first video, copied the folder (all clips and Premiere project files) to a USB key and handed it to him. We thought that Premiere on the Mac would open, the project would link to the clips in the same folder and he could start the final cut. Instead, Premiere on the Mac says that the Premiere Pro files appear to be damanged and won't open.
We will test using Adobe Cloud next time we meet but it takes a while for the files/clips to upload and download so we're not sure that's going to be a good workaround.
Any suggestions on how my friend and I can work together, him on Mac, me on PC, sharing clips and Premiere project files? Any help would be appreciated as I need to continue with my portion of the work.

If I copy the relevant files to, say, a thumb drive, will Premiere be able to relink all of the clips when everything is copied over to the Mac? What we'd like to do:
1. I download the clips from the camera to a folder on my PC
2. Import the clips into a Premiere project
3. Do the rough cut.
4. Save the project file and any additional files in the same directory as the clips.
5. Copy entire directory to thumb drive and give to my friend.
If he loads the folder onto his Mac (keeping the same directory structure), is Premiere going to relink the clips to the project? I thought that's what Project Manager assists with. Some of the discussion threads talked about using a "Relink" or "Link" command but I couldn't find it in Premiere CC's menus.

How to export to a file type that will be editable on a PC in Premier Pro?

The footage is HD. I just want to export out of FCP a file that is "HD" and that can be edited on a PC in Premeire Pro.
Any ideas? This question seems to stump everyone.

I am not an editor so do not understand what the EDL does exactly but I made one and found out it is not a video file. It is just a file that retains the info of the edited footage but not the footage itself? So what about the video? How do I render that out?
I find it amazing that there are no files that FCP outputs that cannot be used in Premier Pro but so far nobody has came up with any ideas.
