Can I have 2 "accounts" on my IPad?
Just purchased an IPad for work, still have my personal one. Can I sync new iPad with my personal iTunes and still have a way to purchase apps with my work account on the same iPad?
If I understand you correctly you want ot use 2 iPads with different AppleIDs on the same computer and share some but not all apps.
Basically the same set up I use between myself and my husband. We each have a different AppleID but share some apps.
Here is what I did:
1). Had my iPad first and had a bunch of apps. So I set up the sync, transferred purchases, and set it up to sync apps manually
2). Disconnected my iPad
3). Sign out of iTunes
4). Sign into iTunes with hia AppleID
5). Connect his iPad
6). Chose which apps to sync and sync
Do the same in reverse when he buys apps.
Issues:
1). Keeping track which iTunes account is signed in. (I tend to sign him out at the end of every sync)
2). Apps purchased on my iPad will not update directly on his. I have to update on my pc and then sync his.
This is a real pain to do but it has worked so far. Possibly because I tend to buy all the apps on my iPad and just "give" them to him.
If anyone has an easier way I would love to find it.

I don't understand your question. You can reset the iPad to factory settings, but you will lose anything that you have entered.

My daughter and I both have iphones. I created an account (not separate itunes) for her on my computer so she could sync her phone/itunes but not have it interfere with mine since we have WAY different taste in music. Creating a different computer profile should work if you have separate itunes accounts, too.
If you all use the same itunes account, you can turn on Home Sharing. That way you can all download the same content without having to pay for it again. Not sure how or if that works with separate itunes accounts.

You have no idea how happy i would be to be proved wrong on this .. there are loads of posts in the discussion forums saying its impossible. If you can point me to where we are going wrong it would be very much appreciated. This is what we have tried ...
1. Create a 2 iTunes libraries on a single computer login (switching with the ALT key when starting itunes)
2. Create a new user account on the computer, create an iTunes library on each individual login.
In each scenario, the same thing happens. We can
- Start iTunes in the right library
- Log in to the iTunes store etc with each account.
The problem comes as soon as you try to download a purchased item, ie if I buy a song on my iPhone then try to down load it from the "purchased items" of iTunes account it was purchased under. iTunes gives a message saying that if i download something bought under iTunes Account 2, iTunes account 1 will be disabled from downloading or auto-download for 90 days as "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID"
Should probably have put this into the origianl post for clarity, apologies. i didnt really mean "logged in", we can log in to each iTunes account from the different libraries, but we can use the purchasing or download functionality - hopefully this makes more sense.
If you know how to set this up properly, it would be amazing if you could share it here?

thank you for your reply, it is not very fair from apple, since for not using your credit card, you need to create a new account and if you do not have multiple e-mail working , you are stuck! thanks anyway

Are you talking about changing the Apple ID used for purchases in iTunes? If so go to 'Settings->iTunes & App Store-> then 'tap' on the Apple ID that appears and click Sign Out on menu that appears. You can now login with a different Apple ID.

Your account? What are you looking for? If you are trying to log into your account to see your purchase history, you need to do that in iTunes on a computer.
You can get into your account on the iPad in Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID...tap on your ID and then tap View Apple ID. Enter your password and then you can access your account for payment method changes if that is what you want to do. -

You can only have one active iCloud account and one iTunes account. Are you by chance refering to email accounts defined in the mail app? If so, if one of the accounts (a non-iCloud account) is a POP account, then an email is usually sent to one device. Once sent, the email is deleted from the server, thus other devices never get copies. That's how POP works.

You can't add the app to her account, that copy is tied to yours. Do you sync to the same computer's iTunes ? If you do, and that app is on it (if it isn't then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy it over), then you should be able to sync that app to her iPad. If you use different computers then you could copy it over and add it to her computer's iTunes library (Store > Authorise This Computer for your account and File > Add To Library to add it) and then sync it (you can find where an app is stored on your computer by right-clicking it in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library and selecting 'show in explorer' on the pop-up, and you can then copy it to, for example, a flash-drive to copy over to her computer).
If you log into your account on her iPad (or computer's iTunes) and re-download that app then you risk tying her iPad (or computer) to your account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 -

You can sign one account in at System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - this will be the 'primary account'. You would enable Mail, Contacts. Calendars etc. as required.
You can then sign in the other account in System Preferences (or Settings)>Mail, Contacts and Calendars. The email Contacts and Calendars will appear alongside those for the primary account, listed under the separate account name.
The secondary account will not get 'Push' email, but will check the server periodically; and only the primary account can use Photo Stream and Find My iPhone/Mac/iPad.
