Can i have 2 Individual TimeMachine HD's?

I have a Western DIgital 6TB hard drive that i use with TimeMachine. Included in this backup are all four of my MacPro's internal HD's and one external USB HD which contains my iTunes library. It's a complete backup of all my data and has a total size of around 3TB. This TimeMachine drive is plugged into my computer at all times and is set to make daily backups.
I also have a 2TB Western Digital drive which i would like to use to backup only my most important files (mainly my Logic Pro project files). I plan to store this drive in another location and try to make weekly backups on it. The files which will be in this backup are spread across all of my HD's and are constantly changing, so i need to use TimeMachine so that only new and changed files are backed up.
So i'm wondering, is it possible to set up a second TimeMachine back-up without having to include / exclude individual files and folders every time i plug in the off-site backup HD? I want to be able to back-up to the 6TB drive daily, but also be able to plug in the 2TB drive and have TimeMachine backup only the files and folders associated with that backup without having to go into the TimeMachine pane in System Preferences and select which files to backup every time. Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks.

No third-party app that I know of works the same way as TM, and I'm not sure that's even possible, because the API is private. There are many backup applications. The only one I have experience with is called "SuperDuper," and it could do what you want. So could the built-in command-line program rsync, but that would require familiarity with the shell.

Their is one animation, however if you click into the area the animtion will pause on one of several sections, and produce arrows to move backwards in the animtion.

Thank you. I have heard of Logic Pro 7, but I have never personally used it. I'm still growing in the world of Composition, and I know that it is something I will be studying in one of my Computer Music classes coming up for my degree. I think it is something I will look into getting once I can justify the price of it. I guess for the time being, I will continue to play and grow in my ability to use and take advantage of GB, and then see what I can do about or with Logic Pro when I'm ready. The thought of spending $1000 for a program is hard to bite, because I've already spent a lot to produce my music, not only electronic music, but also chamber music and so on. I had no idea it would be so expensive to dive deep into the world of composition! lol.

It has been reported by other uses that RealPlayer is having some compatibility problems with Firefox. I believe this is mostly notorious with RealPlayer Plugin Record Plugin, but it may be the same thing here. Please contact RealPlayer developers for support.

I'm just trying to sort out some iTunes I'd issues. Does anyone know how many total iPad iPods can be used with one Apple ID? Or how many apple IDs your can have with one iTunes account? Or does each person need there own Apple ID or Apple account? Thanks

You can't have multiple IDs on one account, but you can use multiple IDs for different purposes on the same device.
Just use the one AppleID for iTunes and the AppStore so you can all share your music and app purchases. Then each person should have their own individual AppleID with associated iCloud account for mail, contacts, calendars, iMessage and FaceTime.
You don't have to use the same AppleID for all services.

The easiest and most efficient way to copy your music is to follow the steps under the External drive section. Make sure that you have organized the iTunes library first before you copy it over. Then put the copied iTunes folder in the same Music folder on your computer.

Each of us is using an own individual iPhone, which we frequently update with our iTunes Accounts. We have had this setup for years. It was convenient, reliable and user friendly, since we both could download what we wanted, create playlists, etc. without impact on the other. Exactly this convenience has made me and my wife real Apple fans, so that we also wanted to convince our daughter to move from Android and PC to our easier Apple setup.
Since a few weeks, this setup does not work anymore. From Apple Support (online chat on Apple.at) I was not told that this is not supported any more. Every computer is only allowed to be connected to one iTunes account. From one perspective (sharing music across other users as an act or media piracy, etc.) I can somehow understand this. However, since we are using different user accounts on this computer, I do not have access to other user´s iTunes media and could not play, download or copy it. So what is the point in this?
This now means, that my wife and I are only allowed to download individually purchased music with our personal iTunes accounts only with an interval of 90 days, so every on of us 2 times a year!
Was I incorrectly informed by the Apple support? If so, how can I solve the problem? Or is this really a new policy by Apple? If so, what is the reason? Am I expected to purchase a Mac for my wife, my daughter, myslef and for the three smaller kids to follow soon?

Unfortunately, if Apple simply allowed people to log into different accounts and download content, everyone would be using everyone could share everyone else's content and bypass the need to purchase anything. To protect against this, they limit you to logging into a new account to once every 90 days.
If two or more of you, have different accounts and use only one computer, you should each have your own user account on the computer, to avoid the need to log in and out of iTunes.

I've been trying to figure out a clean way to do this too. I think you may need more than one Apple ID – one that is shared and used to purchase "sharable" items and then "individual" Apple IDs for you and your son. That's the idea that I'm pursuing for the moment.
It seems that there must be a way to do this, App Store purchases for the Mac are licensed across multiple machines. iPhone app purchases have "all your devices" licensing. Makes me think that Apple has a process in mind for sharing an account (or associating a device with multiple accounts).
Other things I've learned:
- Apparently you can't merge Apple ID accounts. I asked about this once at an Apple Store and was told that there was no way to do it.
- If you share an Apple ID the Messages app behaves in a somewhat surprising manner. It must use your Apple ID to decide where messages should be sent because all users get all messages. This can make it very hard to organize a surprise party :-)

I will share with you what I have done to manage this with my family. While the solution isn't without flawes, it seems to do the trick. First, you need to have one person who is managing the synching of everyone's devices. In my family, I have three iphones, about to be four, and five ipads. We all synch to the same apple ID to allow one another to take seemless advantage of our Itunes, which is on our Imac. To synch individual music or video interests, we simply select which playlists we want and manually synch that way. A couple of us use imatch and the cloud to make the entire library accessable as well. With respect to the imessage, mail, contacts, etc. we each have a gmail account for our individual emails, contacts etc. So for instance, my forth grade daughter has a gmail account that we choose to synch her contacts, calendar, etc to and then that is also the account where she receives her imessages from on her ipad and itouch. My son, who has an iphone and ipad, does the same thing, but under settings, he goes to imessage and checks his phone number and his email as his preferred way to receive imessages and texts. My wife and I do the same thing. To avoid having everyone see one anothers contracts etc, we only synch contacts from our individual email accounts. Here is the downfall to this: When you update your phone or add a new device, apple always wants to reset everyone's facetime and imessage settings and then low and behold we are all receiving imessages from one another's friends etc. To work around this, I simply take each of their devices and go to their imessage settings and only check the email and phone numbers relative to their devices. I dont' know is this is the best solution, but it seems to work for us.

You have no idea how happy i would be to be proved wrong on this .. there are loads of posts in the discussion forums saying its impossible. If you can point me to where we are going wrong it would be very much appreciated. This is what we have tried ...
1. Create a 2 iTunes libraries on a single computer login (switching with the ALT key when starting itunes)
2. Create a new user account on the computer, create an iTunes library on each individual login.
In each scenario, the same thing happens. We can
- Start iTunes in the right library
- Log in to the iTunes store etc with each account.
The problem comes as soon as you try to download a purchased item, ie if I buy a song on my iPhone then try to down load it from the "purchased items" of iTunes account it was purchased under. iTunes gives a message saying that if i download something bought under iTunes Account 2, iTunes account 1 will be disabled from downloading or auto-download for 90 days as "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID"
Should probably have put this into the origianl post for clarity, apologies. i didnt really mean "logged in", we can log in to each iTunes account from the different libraries, but we can use the purchasing or download functionality - hopefully this makes more sense.
If you know how to set this up properly, it would be amazing if you could share it here?

Easiest way is to create separate computer logins with all your own info including your own iTunes library.
I recommend each individual not have more than one AppleID because you will have purchases on multiple accounts
You can use more than one AppleID in an iTunes library.
AppleID/iTunes =used for purchases.
iTunes library = iTunes and all media on your computer.

I have one apple ID. My iphone is linked to this apple ID and so is our Ipad. The ipad gets all of my mail, but also gets all of my text messages. This is not the greatest situation. When my husband got his work iphone, he was told to use my apple id so he would have access to all of my music and purchased items. That really messed things up because he was getting all of my mail and suddenly all of our contacts were shared. Not good!
We are now trying to set up a new ipod touch for one of the kids. Don't want the same situation as above. I want this to have a separate identity but still be on our account so it can share all of my apple purchases.

You may wish to consider having individual accounts for them, each with their own balance. Purchases from each account can be copied to both libraries, and synced to either or both iPods. But the balance will be separate.

It's unusual for a whole family to use the same icloud account, since that way everyone gets the same emails, contacts, calenders, etc. All it takes is one family member to delete a contact by mistake and then it will be deleted from everyone's devices. Not good. The usual advice is for every individual to have their own icloud account.
The iTunes store is another issue - everyone can use the same Apple ID to access the same itunes account to download music, apps, etc. without everyone having to buy the items multiple times.
