Can I have multiple ipods and ipod accountson a single computer?

Copied from the wrong area of the forum and pasted here. Hopefully I will get a better response if my questions are posted in the correct section.
My daughter just got an ipod touch for her birthday so we created aseperate itunes account for her. My son has an ipod touch and also his own itunes account. I (their father) have an itunes account and an old ipod used just for music. We only have one computer at home with itunes loaded on it. All my music is from CD's as I don't make online purchases of music. Can it work on itunes to keep each ipod seperate? I am having no luck!
An example is that my son's itunes account is now showing up on my daughters ipod. Programs that my son bought online (video game apps on his ipod touch) are now being updated to my daughters ipoid.
Here's the specifics: My daughter's ipod wants to update apps that are on my son's ipod. While on my daughter's ipod, it says that I am signed with with my daughter's account (and shows her remaining itunes credit etc.) but all the updates are for apps loaded on my son's ipod. When (out of frustration) I clicked through to update these apps, itunes asks me to enter the password for my son's itunes account; this is all on my daughter's ipod. I am not able to change the account name either; his account user nameis an unchahgeable value. It only asks me to enter his password.
Is there a way to "sign out" of itunes? Maybe if I can sign out and start the app store over again, his account (and updates) will no longer be on her ipod! I think you can see that I am frustrated and as I cannot sign out (or change the user name) to sign in as her account (even though at the bottom of the "featured"tab on the app store it says her account name and shows her available credits left!
It is a freakin mess!!!!
What can I do???
I am not an apple user nor do I have an apple computer. As mentioned, I had an ipod to just play music but now with all the overlap, I cannot differentiate one's ipod from another. I don't want to lose any of my son's games that he purchased either!

OK. I will try that tonight.
My problem is not on my cpu though. It is on the ipods.
There is overlap on the ipods when accessing the itunes store. When my daughter is logged in, they are giving updates for apps on my son's ipod. Even though they are not installed on my daughters ipod. Further to this, to install these updates, it is asking for my son's password to his itunes account. I cannot change the username here as it is a non-changeable field. I can only enter the password here. This is all on her ipod with her account credits showing.
Is there a way to back out and sign out of the itunes store totally. Then sign in again from scratch. Everytime I leave itunes, when I start up again, it just takes me back to the last page I was at!
It is all very confusing to me how the two accounts can overlap like this.

We are having a 2 node Sql Clustered instance of SqlServer 2008 R2 Enterprise running
on windows server 2008 R2. We have about 88 databases in the instance.
Our servers run on Intel Xeon(R) CPU X5670 @2.94 GHz with 6 cores(12 logical processor).
The servers are having 12GB of RAM.
We are planning to introduce database level audit to find if there is any activity on
some of our databases. These databases are not growing in size and there is a request
from the application team to ascertain whether the endusers are accessing the database
over a period of time. In this context I have 2 queries-:
1)Can we have multiple database audit specification on a single server audit ie can we
audit multiple databases to find out the user activity on those databases at a time? Or
should we a separate server audit for each database audit specification?
2)We plan to have the target of the audit on a file on the same shared volume(lun) where
the MDF file and LDF files are located(in EMC storage) and in this context what performance
monitor counters should we watch to ascertain whether there is any performance degradation
due to introduction of server audit.

As Auditn is at the SQL Server instance level. You can have multiple audits per SQL Server instance.

I have an IPod and was going to buy one as a gift for my friend but we share one computer, so I was wondering if there was a way to have 2 Ipods on the same computer, possibly even using the same software because we share mine right now. Before I purchase I need to know.

You can also use one library and sync each device with a different selection of playlists which might be an easier way to manage things.

How can I have multiple I-tunes accounts on the same computer?

So I have a mac, and my brother has his i-tunes account on it. Earlier today I set up my mom's account. All of my brother's songs were on her account, and when I deleted a song from her library, it was also deleted from my brother's library! My mom wants to upload all of her CD's onto her account, but if it is also going on my brother's account, he won't have anymore space for his songs. Is this normal? How do I get these two accounts to have nothing to do with each other? They don't want the same songs as one another.

Yes. Get an external hard drive if you need more space.
Everybody should have their own copies. Sharing copies of music does not work for long, since one person's change can affect others, as you observed.

I'm pretty sure that's your first problem and I'm not sure how to rectify the overlap with the devices.
One thing you can do on your computer is delete the backups for your son and daughters iPods. To do that open iTunes/Preferences/Devices: Delete the device backups.
I'm not familiar with PC's so I can't tell you what other files to delete in reference to preference files. But if you know where the preferences are kept I would delete all of iTunes preference files.
I would also log out of iTunes after you delete the device backups and preferences and log back into your iTunes account with your username and password.
You should consider setting up separate computer User accounts for the kids with their own iTunes App so they can log into their own iTunes account while in their own computer user account.
If you don't want to set up separate computer user accounts, they should sync their iPods wirelessly using their iTunes Account username and password if possible.
That's about as much as I can offer for help.
Hopefully someone else will jump in and help.

So I had an iPod touch and everything with it is fine. I just bought a second one for my daughter...exactly the same as my iPod. This second one was bought used, but was reset completely before I plugged it into my computer. My problem is... my iTunes does not recognize the second touch as a device! I can't get it to sync, so I can't get any music or anything onto the device. How can I have two iPod touches on my computer?
