Can i have multiple monitor with my mac mini ?

Can i have multiple monitor with my mac mini like i do with my PC ?  2 differents screens.. not mirror.

There's lots of Mac Mini models since 2006 or so. What do you have?
Most support two monitors but how you do it is different depending on model.
Put this phrase into Google
        dual monitors, mac mini
and you'll come up with the solution needed based on which MM you have.

Can I use MacMini with this monitor without problems?
Problems like slow refresh or other problems..
I answer this because MacMini has only 64mb video shared memory...

Yes, you can use a switch. I do. I had to experiment to find one I liked. So I recommend that you buy from a store with an easy return policy.

  • Can we have multiple Podcasts with the same Mac Account?

    Hi all,
Can we have multiple Podcasts with the same Mac Account?
For example, I have a single .MAC account and create a website with multiple Podcast pages...or within iWeb I create multiple sites, and each has a podcast.
    Is there a problem?
    Thks
    Leo

Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.

  • Can I have multiple iPhones with unique back ups using one icloud account?

    Hello forum users,
Can I have multiple iPhones with unique back ups using one icloud account?
I would like to back up and restore 4 different iPhones, 1 iPad, a MacBook and 1 MacBook Pro using the same single iCloud account.
If so, how is this done?
    Many thanks

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address).  While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud.  You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

  • 3 DVI monitors with Thunderbolt Mac Mini

Is it possible to have 3 DVI monitors with Thunderbolt Mac Mini?

    Maybe.
The first could be via a Mini Displayport to DVI adapter
The second could be via a HDMI to DVI cable
The third would have to be via a Displaylink USB adapter
It should be noted that the AMD powered Mac mini 2011 model will handle this workload better.

I have an older apple keyboard, either a M2452 or a M7803.  Do these have compatibility issues with 2012 Mac Minis?

I understand that you can connect any keyboard to a Mac Mini, my concern is that the modern Apple keyboards I have seen seem to have a layout much more similar to their PC counterparts. ie, they no longer have the "apple" key, etc.
Will I be missing functionality (using this older Apple keyboard)?

  • Can i run two monitors on a mac mini?

I'm wondering if I can run a 5 year old cinema display and a cheap flat screen monitor on a mac mini. Someone at Apple said yes but someone at a Mac store said no.

OK, I am a musician also and I just purchased a Mac Mini (late 2010 version).  So I can tell you with out a doubt that it has support for 2 monitors of any kind.  If your cinema display has the Apple ADC connector it is going to be tough. Some people use the displayport to dvi adaptor connected to a DVI to ADC adaptor and plug and claim to have it working. I have NO IDEA how it would.
The MINI comes with this adaptor:

  • Can I connect 2 monitors to a Mac Mini?

I am thinking of buying a Mac Mini for an art installation project and will need to connect two monitors to it. Please can someone let me know if I can connect more than 1 monitor to a Mac mini. Can they be 19" monitors or must they be smaller resolution? Do they have to be of a particular specification? Any recommendations? Thanks very much.

A simple splitter would theoretically support anything up to the mini's maximum resolution, but in practice it depends on the actual displays being used as the whether the mini correctly identifies the devices and offers the correct range of resolution options. Some juggling (such as disconnecting one display while the system boots or wakes from sleep) can help, but it really does depend on the display(s) as to whether the mini behaves correctly via a splitter of this sort.
The Matrox device is technically far better because it presents itself to the mini as a single display, but of course it limits maximum resolution across both screens, and thus isn't really all that attractive a proposition unless 15" LCDs are to be used rather than anything larger.
The USB-based device seems to offer the best of both worlds - or at least will offer the best of both worlds when released with tried and tested Mac drivers. It's not all that clear why Mac drivers have been slow in coming for these devices when they have been around for Windows for some time now, and a number of manufacturers had pre-announced Mac versions as much as a year ago. At the general price of $99 or so, a USB adaptor would provide a reasonably low cost and (importantly) flexible way to add a second display.... if such a device can be currently had!
The forgoing is the reason the 'yes' answer is not the short one!

  • Can I connect two monitors to a Mac Mini?

Can I connect two Monitors to a mac mini

Yes, but how depends on what model of Mini and what kind of monitors.  Early models only had one monitor port.  Later models had a Mini-DVI port and a Mini-Displayport.  Current models have a Mini-Displayport and a HDMI port.  The Mini-DVI and Mini-Displayport can attach VGA or DVI monitors, whereas the HDMI port can't use VGA monitors.
Beyond that, you can get Matrox's DualHead2Go or a USB->VGA or USB->DVI adapter.  The Matrox product is a bit expensive and the USB adapters are a bit to slow for games and such.  So, again, the answer is "yes", but with limitations

  • Can I use Dual Displays with New Mac Mini (HDMI   Thunderbolt)

    Hello Everyone,
This question may have been asked before... but I just purchased a beautiful new Mac mini and it has an HDMI port in the back and a Thunderbolt port.  I am using a new DELL 23" HDMI monitor that also accepts DVI.   I think I could run another monitor on the Mac Mini, but I don't know which is the best way to go... I purchased a mini-display port to DVI adapter because I heard thunderbolt could accept the mini-display cable.
    1.  Should I purchase the other identical Dell monitor and then run it on Thunderbolt 2 DVI and run it DVI
    2.  Or is there a HDMI splitter that splits the signal into two cables and go that way?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated  Thanks!

I just got the mini server and run a 24" LCD off the HDMI port and a 19" off the displayport (adapter to DVI) and it works a treat there's no need for any splitter.
