My wife has 4.0.4 on her laptop and has no issues, I'm finding, with 4.0.5 that I keep getting logged out of site and the wheel of death is far to eager to appear.
Can I get 4.0.4 back please

10.6.8 is Snow Leopard, and given the memory you have, your Mac should be one of those listed as suitable. After backing up just in case things don't work out, you should be all set to download & install from the App Store.
Do note that some Applications won't work or may need updating for Mavericks, and Power PC apps won't run at all.
I'll stress the backup, since if you don't care for or can't work with Mavericks, you'll need one to revert to 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

I would like to back up and restore 4 different iPhones, 1 iPad, a MacBook and 1 MacBook Pro using the same single iCloud account.

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

From your Safari menu bar click History / Reopen All Windows from Last Session.

Can I have two Time Capsules and back up to both?

Would it be possible to have two TC, one at each end of the house and have them share the same network wirelessly? And allow backup to each one independently, so as to have duplicate backups on two units?

It may be possible with some work-arounds, but I wouldn't recommend it (time machine or apple doesn't support something like this). Backing up wirelessly and duplicating that backup wirelessly will take an incredible amount of time.
I'd set up the time capsule as your main base station and use another airport (like the express) to extend the signal if you're having wireless connection issues.
To make backups of the time capsule drive, the best thing to do is to plug a usb hard drive into it and use the archive function in airport utility. This copies the time capsule disk to the external drive which you can then move to another location.

How can I have a Full Purchase Order back?

I have a PO with an order of item X quantity 100, then I copied 60 over to my AP Invoice. Now, I credit note my AP Invoice. I realized the PO item X's quantity does not return to 100 (it still remain as 40). I understand accounting principles, but assume I credit note my AP Invoice due to some typo errors, how can I everr have a full 100 qty PO back?
Or is there any workaround I can do?

Hi Chinho,
System will not allow you to change anything back. That is why you got message: You cannot change this document after you add it . Continue? Even if you have typo, you need to check it out before you hit Add. For this wrongly affected PO, you have to create a new one for the full quantity.

The only way to locate your phone is through Apple's Find My Phone service. However, you would have had to setup/activate Find My Phone before your phone was lost/stolen, and it must be turned on & the phone have internet access. You would then login to iCloud.com, from any computer, & hopefully locate your phone. If you didn't setup Find My Phone, there is no way to locate your phone. Report the loss to the police & your carrier. Change your passwords.

Can I have Safari running on two different desktops?

I want to run two instances of Safari on two different desktops so that I can run a genealogy program with my tree on one and another person's tree on the other for comparison. When I try to launch Safari on a desktop other than the one containing my program, it immediately leaps to the one where Safari is already running. Is there a way to get round this? Am I missing something? I suppose I could launch the second instance of the program from Camino or Firefox but I'd rather use Safari if it's possible.

Yes you can do this.
Safari should not be assigned to a space.
Make sure of this by control-clicking on the Safari dock icon and following the options arrow.
What you do next depends upon whether you have "When switching to an application...." checked or unchecked in System Preferences, Mission control.
If that his unchecked and you want a new Safari window in desktop 2, make sure Safari is in front, then ask for a new window. (Note: if Safari is already in front and you click on its dock icon it will interpret that as a request to go to another desktop with a safari window.)
Alternatively, create a new window in any desktop then drag it to the desktop of interest after invoking MC.

i dont want a separate itunes account as we use the same music books and apps to be automatically downloaded which is very convenient

You can set up different iCloud accounts on each device using different Apple IDs (to keep your mail, calendars, contacts, etc. separated), and still share the same iTunes account (in Settings>Store on your device). There is no requirement that you use the same Apple ID for purchases and for iCloud.

Okay so around a year ago i dropped my ipod and the screen shattered but it's not too bad so i didnt get it fixed but around a month or so ago my power button stopped working but it's not really a problem because i use that circley thing now that sits on the side of your screen. Two days ago i snced my ipod (touch gen4) and when i opened my music app i only hadd around 200 songs when i have like 900 listed on my itunes my itunes didn't say that it wasn't able to sync any and now whenever i open my music app it just plays random songs for like 2 seconds each. please help me
p.s im up to date with everything my itunes is up to date and so are all my apps and ios

You are still talking about a five-year-old computer. I'd go with a newer one if at all possible. There are just so many things that can go wrong with one as old as a 500 MHz model. It really depends on how it's been used, and we have no way of knowing that.

the error seems to point to the Neuron[][] network
but i thought it should be ok as i initilised the pointer as static
the Neuron class is compiled and contains both these methods.

How do I "locate" my CD in itunes? Can I get the old itunes menu back?

I burned a CD using itunes. But it automatically used Windows Media to play back and changed the sequece to alphatical order.
I changed the setting to have itunes as the "preferred" player but still won't work. The CD doesn't even show up on the itunes menu. Can't find it under file or the "music" button. Tried clicking each and every button. Still cannot find it!
Also, I used to just click and drag songs from a CD to my playlists. With the new menu, it won't show both the CD song list and my playlists at the same time so I can't click and drag anymore. I have been importing all the songs and then search for them one by one and copy each to the playlists. VERY annoying. Any suggestion as to how to do this? Can I have my old itunes menu back please?
