Can I have separate mail icons for my email accounts?

Is it possible to have separate email icons on my main screen - one for my personal account and one for my work account?

Yes you can. You just have to download the app for that email..... with your Mail app taken by one email you can download a different app that supports your email (ei. Gmail, Hotmail, etc....)

  • Can i have different alert tones for Multiple email accounts?

Would like to have different alert tones for each email account. Is there a way to accomplish it?

        Hi there, DawgFan1980!
I understand the purpose of the different notification sounds. The iPhone only allows 1 tone for e-mail accounts. At this time, this cannot be changed.

  • Can I have separate Style Formatting for viewing and sending emails?

    Hey All
I was just wondering if it was possible to have separate style settings for viewing emails sent to you and sending emails to others.
Basically I want to set up a kind of style template for all my outgoing emails but I don't necessarily want my incoming mail to be like that if you see where I am coming from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Derek

    Thanks for that.
That would certainly be an option. However after some further investigation I came across this article which shows me exactly what I was looking for:

But thanks for your help though. It is really appreciated.

  • How do I add a smart mail box for my email account on my iPone? Is that possible?

How do I add a smart mail box for my email account on my iPone? Is that possible?(I mean mail box that sorting specific emails from my inbox)Thankssss.

You can't add a smart mailbox, but depending on your iOS version you can add a server stored mailbox with an IMAP or Exchange account for sorting received and sent messages by category.  Not possible with a POP account.

  • Different mail alerts for each email account

Just got the new Verizon iPhone. Used BlackBerry for years. One feature of the BB that I think is missing from the iPhone is the ability to set different mail alerts for each email account. For instance, I would like to turn off alerts for my corporate Exchange account (for which I get 100 emails a day), but receive alerts for my Comcast and Gmail accounts.
Am I correct that there is only one on or off feature for the iPhone for all accounts?

That turns the account off for receiving mail as you provided, which I'm fairly certain the OP is not interested in.
The OP wants to be able to turn the new mail alert sound off for one account while leaving it on for another account while all accounts are still checked for new messages.

  • Can I have multiple email icons for various email accounts on iphone 4s?

Recent Blackberry convert. Used to having multiple email icons (each with separate new message indicator) for my email accounts. Does this functionality exist either native to iphone 4s or possibly via a mail app? Would rather have option of multiple email views (either the consolidated menu the iphone has now or direct to a specific mailbox via different icon) rather than just the consolidated view.
    Thx!

(Apologies if topic already exists -- couldn't find it)

You can have more than one mail account. To add more, you can do it in two places:
    1. Open System Preferences > Internet Accounts, and press the + button.
    2. Open Mail and go to Mail menu (on the menu bar) > Add Account.
Respecting to iCloud, you can have more than one mail address if you upgraded from MobileMe or if you used iCloud before the iOS 6 launch. In both cases, you will have a @me.com and a @icloud.com address

  • Can I have Separate Mail Idenities?

I have 2 separate email account. One for me & one for my husband. Through Mac mail it seems are though you are both logged on into mail. Both accounts emails shows up in the inbox & sent box. Is there any way to set mac mail up when we can each log in as a separate idenitity?
If not, is there any email program I can use that will do that and is compatible with my Mac Pro OS X 10.4.8???
    Any help would be GREAT!

The best way to do this is to have two user accounts. One for you and one for your husband. This will create a separate mail identity for you in your account and a separate one for your husband in his account. Both accounts may be admin accounts or one can be an admin account and one can be a standard account.
    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

  • Can I have multiple incoming servers for one email address on mail?

I am currently trying to connect my school email address to my Mail app on my Mac.
Unfortunately, it seems that when connected to the school network, I can't access the Microsoft Exchange Web sever, whether through any web browser or Apple Mail, but I can at home.
I have found the mail servers from the Outlook settings at school, so if I change the settings from the Exchange Web server (mail.xxx.co.uk) to the networked mail server (xxx-exchange.domain.local), I can access the emails through the school network, but when I come home, I then have to change the servers back, and then Mail tries synchronising and I seem to lose emails off my Mac, but they are still on the server.
Is there any way of setting up the account on Mail so I can access the emails from either server address, depending on my location, without having to do it manually?
    Thanks in advance

you can but there is no need to do it. click on the little triangle next to your inbox. it will expand and show the inboxes for each of your accounts.
If so, can someone tell me how to set it up?

  • Is it possible to have different mail icons for different mail accounts?

I have several mail accounts configured in my iPhone 5s, and I want to see them separately and know when i have unread mails in each account, without having to enter in mail app.
    Thanks

No, all unread email is consolidated under the single icon for the Mail Appl.
You could use several different mail apps (one for each account). This would show you the unread emails for each account with a seperate icon. Chech the App Store for many more email Apps.

Before doing anything else, is your ringer switch in silent mode?  I'd try toggling the switch a few times to make sure it's working.  The phone should vibrate when you move the switch from on to silent.  If it doesn't then the switch may be broken.
Next make sure the volume for notifications is not off.  Check the Sound settings for this.  Changing the volume there should also cause your (phone) ringtone to play.  If it doesn't then there is something very wrong.
The only other thing I can suggest if the above doesn't help is doing a hard reset of the phone.  Hold power and home buttons down until screen goes dark and Apple icon appears, then let go.
If that doesn't work, then the only other thing you can try is doing a Backup and then a Restore in iTunes.  If that doesn't work, then there's a hardware problem.

  • Can I have more than one iphone per email account?

When my son got his iphone 4s I used my email address since he didnt have one yet.  I have since gotten an Iphone 4s also, but when I went to activate it I had to put it under another email account, since mine was used for my sons iphone, so I used my husbands.  My husband now has an iphone on order and I was wondering if there was a way of having more than one phone per email account?

I would set up a new email for him.  That will give you a new icloud account.  Also any apps that he downloaded with your ID will forever be linked to that ID and can only be updated with that ID.  If that is a problem then you might delete those apps and download them again with the new ID ( and if they were paid apps you need to pay again)

  • Can we have a mail acknowledge for FTP

    Hi,
Is it possible to get a transport acknowledgment for FTP receiver adapter? please suggest me....
Edited by: Hareenkumar on Jul 9, 2010 12:51 PM

When using the BPE, you can request a transport acknowledgement. Further, SAP note 821267 says the following:
    6. Acknowledgements
Q: Does the File Adapter support acknowledgements?
A: You need to distinguish system acknowledgements (indicating that a message has been received by the target system) and application acknowledgements (indicating that the message has been successfully processed by the application on the receiver side).
The receiver of an XI message will only send an acknowledgement back to the sender if the sender has requested one. However, the File Adapter has no functionality that relies on the receipt of an acknowledgement, so it never requests one.
On the other hand, if a File Adapter Receiver receives a request to send an acknowledgement, it will do so for a system acknowledgement request. Application acknowledgements are not supported at all as the File Receiver has no way to determine if the written file has been correctly processed by the back-end application, which is what a positive application acknowledgement would imply.
