Can I have/use iCloud with my iPhone 5 even if my Macbook is not operating on 10.7 -
I did use iCloud at first, but then noticed it was not updated the info on iCal - if I entered info on my laptop it would not show on the iPhone - only accepted the initial data when I sync it with itunes - after that I get duplicates - I do not want to use google calendar - I got the iPhone so I could sync to iCal -------also, my App Store, is blank - Featured or Charts - only works with Genius -

Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book app used by Windows Mail called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
Before syncing contacts with an empty Windows Contacts address book, enter one contact in Windows Contacts. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data which you want to select. Syncing direct with Windows Contacts via the iTunes sync process is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. -
Can i use my laptop which is running Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade from Vista to stream photos using ICloud. The outlook programme used is 2003 and i my devices are IPad mini and IPhone 5. My problem is that i able to drag pictures into ICloud for it to send to my devices but nothing happens. Why?
I am grateful for any advice.A hard drive if it has failed will sometimes allow you to boot into windows but may not work completely (Eg: In a scenario, where system partition ;where windows is installed works fine but logical partition of hard drive has gone bad).
On certain conditions, if the hard drive is on verge of failure may/may not respond completely. I would suggest you to run a diagnostics using Seagate Seatools which works on any hard drive irrespective of manufacturer to actually confirm if your hard drive has failed.
Also, any hard drive can fail in spite of it been 1yr old or 1day old as its all manufactured in bulk and most of it comes from China

How can I best use iCloud with another cloud based server
Here is what I want to accomplish. I have switched ISP's and wish to have all my email based in the cloud, so another switch of ISP is not so painful. I have 2 accounts I monitor, iCloud for personal use, and another server for my website for business use. I want to simply look at one mail box, that is iCloud that contains all email I route ... so, forward to the business server to Icloud and read iCloud from my mac, web browse, or ipad/cellphone. So far OK. The fly in the ointment is that I want to send emails with either my personal or business address from my mac or wherever, and can see no way to have both addresses available for sending, just the icloud based ones.
Advice is wanted and appreciated.
Thanks, DanYou can use different accounts for each of your devices, but why? Then they couldn't sync with each other (and the icloud account they are associated with).
But each device can only be associated with one icloud account, you can't have each connect to both accounts. It seems you are trying to gain additional storage by using a second account. To have both devices connecting to the same data and use more storage, you'll have to buy more. -
Can I use Icloud with 2 Iphones both registrated on the same apple ID?
With the first it works but second iphone cannot connect to icloud.
Curious with this as well. I have 2 iPhones and wanted to know if this is possible.

Can i have 2 iclouds with one itunes account
Hubby and I just received our new iphones yesterday and we are attempting to get them set up. We currently have one itunes account (and we would like to keep it that way), but in setting up the icloud, don't we each have to have our own? We are fine with this, but not sure how to set them up individually as the phone seems to automatically want to point to itunes for the initial setup.
On the iPhone, it is possible to set one email address as the Apple ID for the iTunes and App stores, and another for iCloud services.
So, if I am understanding what you want to do correctly, you should:
Go under Settings > Store and enter the Apple ID you want to use for purchases (which will be the same on the two devices).
Go under Settings > iCloud and enter the email you have set up for iCloud services (which will be different on your devices, and different from the email you used for the Store). -
HT4759 How to sync my outlook calendar (PC) using iCloud with my iPhone 4?
I have set up an outlook email account and have configured it to my iCloud. The cloud has synced what was on my phone to my computer but I cannot seem to make it do the reverse and sync what events I create on my computer to my iPhone 4. I was hoping that someone would have an answer. I have read a bunch of forums and nothing seems to work (turning the calendar off and on, restarting computer, logging off iCloud...etc.).
Yes but if set iCloud as my default calendar it wont resolve my problem. Because If I add an item into my Gmail calendar, it will successfully get synch into my iPhone but as it is the gmail cal it won't be ssnch with my mac
(If I add directly an item into my iphone, it will get synch with my mac)
So to be clear, is there a way to copy on the fly items inserted from GCal to Icloud cal ?
add item in my work calendar -> get synch to GCal -> get synch on my iphone GCal -> copy that to iCoud Cal -> get synch through ICloud into my Mac -

Never mind. I found it
ethernet mean that it send data out into the ether and devices recieve the data if it's meant for them
so it's not a point to point connection std.
so the ipad/phone does not connect or talk directly with the appletv
they send their data out into the ethernet
so unles your wifi router keep wired ethernet and wifi on 2 seperate unbridged networks then
it will be transparent to the ipad if the appletv is on wifi or wired -
Can I have window previews with Docky? Or even the native XFCE Panel?
In Windows 7, hovering over the window icon buttons will show the preview for the window, is that possible in Docky/XFCE Panel's Windows Button?

I tried reinstalling the Flip4Mac Safari plug-in and Windows Media Player. Still doesn't work.
With WMP, I can cut and past the Netflix preview into the player and it will play, but I can't get it to start automatically.
With QuickTime, even if I cut and paste the URL into it, I get an error: Alert Invalid URL.
Any idea how I can get these preview to play automatically?

As Allen said, no, you can't, not unless Rhapsody allows you to burn tracks to an audio CD which could then be imported into iTunes. Rhapsody, like most other download music stores, uses Microsoft's Windows Media format and copy-protection which can only be played in Windows Media Player on a WM-compatible device (which does not, BTW, included Microsoft's own Zune).

You got it with that same apple id thing. You can use different apple id's, but then they will not sync. Apple does allow as many free apple id's as you want, but they are in the business to make money.

Is your phone still signed in with your old iTues ID for iCloud (in Settings>iCloud)?

I have the problem with my iPhone and my friends have this problem too.
My iPhone have the problem about calling and answer the call. When I use my iPhone to call I can't hear anything from my iPhone but the person that I call can answer it but when answer both of us can't hear anything and when I put my iPhone to my face the screen is still on and when I quit the phone application and open it again it will automatic call my recent call. And when my friends call me my iPhone didn't show anything even the missed call I'm only know that I missed the call from messages from carrier. Please check these problem I restored my iPhone for 4 time now in this week. I lived in Hatyai, Songkhla,Thailand and many people in my city have this problem.

The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

I have a problem with my iPhone 5 stopped working the sleep / power and simultaneously refused to obey the HOME button. I can not use either one or the other. I can not enable or disable the device, display lights up when you plug the charger. same display works fine as it is surprising. or maybe someone knows what is the reason for this? is there any way to solve this problem?
More than likely its a hardware issue, I have never encountered such a problem and best bet is to just go get it replaced. If you have insurance on your device apple will replace it as long as there was no water damage, if you dont have insurance they will charge $200 more or less. Hope you get it fixed
