Can I highlight cells (without a date) on a particular day?

Probably a bit of an odd question...
I have a row of cells numbered 1-31 (C5:AG5) – see http://flic.kr/p/aBeviB; I wondered if it's possible to highlight the day of the month (using a colour) in the corresponding cell, e.g.
C5 (number 1) = day 1 of any particular month
L5 (number 10) = day 10 of any particular month etc
Is this possible?

You can achive this by:
1) calculating the day today by placing the following formula in a cell:
I placed the formula in cell A1:
=DAY(NOW())
2) Then I selected the range of cells that represent the days of the month (C5 - AG5) and selected the menu item "Show Conditional Formatting Rules"
Select the Rule "Equal to" the in the text entry box enter "A1", then set the formatting you want. I selected to highlight the cell with green, and leave the text black, then click "Done"

If you restore you will have to restore to latest Apple's software, that frankly *****. I did it and I completely regret. On iOS 6.1.5 NOTHING works.

Being already activated, the old iPhone 4 should still work as an iPod even if the data and cell plan are cancelled. If it deactivates for some reason, you'll need a valid SIM to reactivate, though you still shouldn't need a cell plan. You can ask for confirmation in the iPhone forum, just in case I'm missing some recent change or detail.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Nokia 5800- Can this be used without a data packag...

I can't afford any data packages right now. Can I buy this phone, put my existing sim card in, and have it work? I am talking basic minutes and text. I don't care to access web or data things at this point. My friend has this phone and I really like the style and touch screen. I am asking bc if I buy it through Nokia I want to make sure I can use the basics.

I really wouldn't recommend a smart phone without a data package, find an alternative if you can't afford data. You are losing a large proportion of the phones functionality if you can't use the web.

How can you find the Last Modified Date of a particular table

I want to show to the LAST MODIFIED date of a particular table to the user before refreshing the table with new data. Experts please suggest me the way using JDBC-SQL connection.

There is no generic SQL way for this. It depends completely on the features your DBMS offers. With Oracle you'd need to create column which gets updated in a trigger. I believe MS SQL Server offers a special data type for this, which is updated automatically. I don't know about others.

Payment terms - due date on a particular day of the week say friday?

Experts is it possible in SAP payment terms to configure a term such that due date is on a particular day of the week?
I want use payment term to determine due date for weekly billing cycle (sunday to saturday) for the invoice to be due on Friday net 27 days from mid point of the week
eg 1. if a customer is invoiced any day between October 4th to 10th, the due date should be Friday Nov 6th
eg 2. if a customer is invoiced and day between October 11th to 17th, the due date should be Friday Nov 13th

You need custom development for this. Using custom development, Substitution in FI or User exit in SD
I. FI Substitution -
Create substitution with exit, for field day1 (BSEG-ZBD1T) and baseline date (BSEG-ZFBDT). In exit, determine number of days for required Friday from baseline date you want to use (say document date). This way, due date will be on Friday.
For determining Friday, use calendar or Ztables.
II. Invoices created in SD - If you are gerenating invoices in SD, use exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008. This exit has table ACCIT which also has same fields Day1 and Baseline date. Follow same logic mentioned above.

Highlighting Cells automatically when data has no pattern

I'm pretty new to Numbers, and don't consider myself a spreadsheet expert in any case, so I apologize if I'm overlooking a very simple way to do what I'm trying to do.
I'm trying to set up a document with six different types of entries. The cell highlight colors need to change for each different entry type.
Each of the types has between 30 and 120 different possible names that could appear.
The way I approached this was to put all the possible names into the sheet (and hide the rows) so the person doing the data entry could have the auto-complete feature save them a lot of typing. Use of the auto-complete is essential to how this is going to be used.
Where I'm stumped though is how to highlight the different entry types with the proper colors. I can't see how to do it in the Conditional Format dialogue, as there's no pattern to the data sets that I can key off of.
Anyone able to help here? Did I manage to explain that well at all?

It's exactly what is done with my tip.
If an entry is of type1 available in popup1, it is given a color.
If an entry is of type2 available in popup2, it is given an other color.
This is the way I understand the question and of course, I responded accordingly.
If the OP want to be able to enter any kind of entry in a cell and get it displayed with a specific color, it's an other question (at least from my point of view) and it will require auxiliary table and auxiliary column.
The auxiliary table (Table 2) contains a list of accepted entries.
The accompannying number is a flag saying to whtch type it belongs.
In column C of Table 1 the formula is:
=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(B,Table 2 :: A:B,2)),"",VLOOKUP(B,Table 2 :: A:B,2))
And you see the conditional rules.
Of course, we may set the Text Color equal to the Fill Color.
I leave to the OP the pleasure to search in existing threads the tip, given several times, using a transparent auxiliary table putting the color behind the cell in which is done the entry

I have a standard object that doesnot have Master data. Its already used somewhere else. It matches the name I want but I need to load some master data into it. Does resuing it in my catalogue and loading Master data into it hurt anything? Or should I create a new one?

The same InfoObject can be included in more than one InfoObject catalog without any issue. Also loading master data would not hurt an existing InfoProviders where it is being used.

I want to track some select and informations that are not in the sys.fga_log$ table. So I have to create a handler and insert my data in a specific table anyway.
My question is : "Do you know a way to prevent the audit data to go in fga_log$ when fga is enabled ?" ; the only 2 options I've found for the dbms_fga audit_trail parameter are "extended" and "db"; even with db, data are tracked in this table !
Is there anyway for the data to not been tracked in fga_log$ or a file when you use DBMS_FGA ?

Actually XML works with 10.2 and guess and in the case of my configuration, it's faster than writing the data in FGA_LOG$.
- 100,000 select >> 3'30 in FGA_LOG$
- 100,000 select >> 1'30 in XML
(Don't jump to conclusion... It's select one after the others but interesting anyway !)

Can't highlight cells after using CellRenderer

I have used a CellRenderer for my column to change its background color but after i have set it i wasn't able to highlight any cell at my JTable. please help.

or miscellaneous derived implementations of CellRenderer and CellEditor, other components - and hereafter leading to - other casts and other hightlighting-formats such as setFont and also repaint()ing after this.
the best result was a changing color/font after the party should be over (means: while focusing other rows after closing the searchDialog).
one possible way to explain this could be one shared component referenced by the return of getTableCell...Component(...) but a

Our family has the mac computers and i phones. I am fearful of deleating all information from either or all when I plug them in.

An iPhone can sync to one and ONLY one iTunes library at a time. Pick a machine for each phone to sync to and stick with it. It would also be wise to make sure each family member has their own user account on each machine, especially the machine(s) used for syncing to maintain the integrity of their data and avoid cross contamination.
Best practice says use a unique iTunes ID for each family member as well.

If I backup my iPhone to iCloud, can I restore it without losing data after syncing with new computer/iTunes?

The laptop my phone was synced to broke, so I had up get a new computer. I know that if I try to sync my iPhone 4 (running iOS 6) to the new iTunes on the new computer I'll lose my data. I have everything backed up to iCloud. Could I restore my iPhone after syncing with the new iTunes?

Is there any way for a formula to ignore other cells without data in them yet?

I'm trying to create a spreadsheet to track my grades. I have all the formulas set up (quizzes, tests, etc. are calculated separately because they are all weighted differently towards the final grade). The "Final Grade" formula has an error because some of the other sets don't have data in them yet (i.e. haven't taken a test yet). Is there any way to get the Final Grade formula to ignore the cells without data yet?
Formula for each category (quizzes, tests, etc): ((SUM [total point column]) / (SUM [total points possible column])) * 100
Formula for Final Grade: (([quiz grade] * 0.15) + ([test grade] * 0.25)) * 100

I agree with quinn that merged cells can lead to many problems. Here is a table with no merged cells
Two Header Rows, one Header Column and one Footer Row.
I have used Cell Fills (colours) to distinguish Quizzes, Tests, Final Exam and Projects.
Formula in Footer B8
=IF(SUM(C)=0,"",100×SUM(C)÷SUM(D))
if the SUM of C is 0 (zero), insert "" (NULL) to make it appear blank. Else insert 100xSUM(C)/SUM(D) to show the % score.
Formula in C8
=SUM(C)
Formula in D8
=SUM(D)
Select B8 to D8 and drag the yellow Fill Handle to the right.
If you want the appearance of merged cells, you can delete the contents of B1 and D1, then show No Border to the left and right of C1
And so on for EFG etc.
The cells are still there (to avoid problems down the track.
