There are a number of things you could do. One would be to network the to computers and transfer your iTunes folder from one to another. Can't import music from iTunes! Please help.

We installed Yosemite, updated iMovie and iTunes. When we attempt to import music from iTunes into iMovie for a project by clicking on iTunes in the "Content Library," nothing shows up in the window that says, "The contents of your iTunes Library will appear here."
Cannot figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

First, if you are using the latest iTunes, it may hide the sidebar. To show the sidebar, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.

The music is on my ipod classic but I'm worried I will not be able to add more onto it without the original itunes folder containing my music files. There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes.
There is a very direct method, which I personally prefer, but there are also numerous third party applications, which will help you accomplish the task as well. I lost my iTunes library on a crashed external hard drive. How can I import music from my iPod that was not originally purchased on iTunes?

The 500 gig hard drive on my 2008 iMac was so full it was running very slowly, so I transferred the iTunes library to an old external Maxtor 1T drive. A few months later the Maxtor crashed, and the library went with it. My 3rd G. iPod Touch still has the whole library on it, but I don't know if ALL the music will transfer back to the mac when the iPod syncs. A portion of the music was from CDs we borrowed from our kids. How can I get all of the music that is presently on my iPod to transfer back to a new iTunes v. 11.1.2 library on the mac?

I'm going crazy, I have tried every way of importing my music from my media player to itunes but to no avail. I have way to much music in my computer it would take forever to upload them all again into itunes. It has to be a lot easier than I am making it, someone please help me!

Ok, so I looked into my windows media player, it is version 9, but when I looked in my tools setting under "Copy" the box where it says to protect your music is not checked. I then went into the "Media Library" tab and set the access rights of other applications to full. I tried again to transfer and it didn't work. The options I am getting when I go to import music are .txt, .xml, or .m3u none of which work. So, I'm stuck again. Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!

Hopefully someone here can help me get my itunes library on track.
I have 2 separate music collections on an external hard drive and there is a large overlap of duplicated music on these libraries (however both contain some music that isn’t on the other)
The question is what is the best way to import these 2 collections onto my new macbook without ending up with lots of duplicated music?

I have a cd I wanted to import to my iCloud playlist. Is that possible? I tried to but it told me that it the playlist I wanted to put it in will be removed from iCloud and will only be available on the computer. Any suggestions?

If you want store music that was not purchased from iTunes in the cloud you will need an iTunes Match subscription ($25 per year)

Importing music from MobileMe

I have already transferred the songs I want from my PC Desktop computer to my MobileMe account. Now when I try to import these songs from MobileMe to iTunes on my MacBook, either no songs are imported or roughly half of them find their way into my Library. When I first tried to import these files, I opened iTunes, clicked "file + add to library..." and iDisk appeared under Devices. I think somewhere along the line I accidentally deleted iDisk from this location. I can still find it when I search for iDisk, and all of my files are still on my iDisk, but I still can't get the songs into my Library. After half of the songs were imported, I deleted them all so I could try again without importing the same song twice (the songs in my library weren't even in the same order as the songs on my iDisk), so now I'm left with an empty Library and no idea on how to import my songs.

Bottom line: How can I import music from MobileMe?
