Can I import (MUSIC.wma) into iTunes for an iPod Touch? I know somethinig about formating that may just ignore the import, see my grandmother had got an iPod, and she not only want's her CD's on it, she just wan'ts to know if she can play her windows music collection, with the extention .wma into iTunes . . . if any of you all know if it's possible without having to use any particular third party application please feel free to answer . .

I think so. iTunes' help says that iTunes can convert WMA files to other formats. The iPod supports:
Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV

Can't import some CD's into iTunes library

I have the latest verson of iTunes on my MacBook. When I try to import some CD's into the iTunes library, it ejects the CD back out. It doesn't happen to every CD; just some. What is causing this, and how can I import these CD's into iTunes?

Thanks for the suggestion. CD's are clean; no finger prints or dust. Still can't import into iTunes. A little background-- I had iTunes on a PC previously. When I transferred the library to my MacBook, I noticed some CD's were not transferred. This is one of the CD's I had in iTunes on my PC, but is now not in iTunes on my MacBook. Why can I not add this and some other CD's to iTunes on my MacBook?

ITunes won't import music from iPhone to iTunes Library

I have a large Purchased playlist on my iPhone. However, none of these songs will sync to my iTunes. They are shown in my Music tab under my phone but not in my actual iTunes library. Clicking sync shows the songs greyed out in my library with the progress wheel momentarily, but then they disappear from the library - as if it cancelled the syncing to my laptop. This is just one of numerous issues I am having with iTunes. Anyone know of a fix? I've already restored my phone due to other issues I was having as of a couple days ago, and I've already deleted all my music from my phone and attempted to re-sync it, but nothing works. So many issues with this program. What gives, Apple?

Itunes 12 can't import shared home movie to iTunes library

HI. I am trying to import, or add to my desktop iTunes library, a shared home movie. I have file sharing turned on with both my laptop and desktop. I can see, from my desktop, the shared home movies, and I can even play them, but I cannot find an option to import them into the desktop library. I use my desktop to sync my iPad and ultimately I want to add the movies to my iPad. How do I import a shared home movie from my laptop to desktop, not just see it and play it from sharing?

Join the crowd. If you search this and other forums on the web, you'll find that Home Sharing has limited functionality on PC and Mixed PC-Mac networks. It works fine, Mac to Mac, it appears, but PC's seem unable to talk to Macs or one another on many, many, many people's home shared networks. I hope that Apple finds a way to improve this aspect of iTunes or at least expands its troubleshooting recommendations in the support database.

Let me get this straight. You took files ripped on a PC to a pen drive and tried dragging them to the iTunes library window? That should work, but some things will depend upon the format of the files. I would create an empty playlist window and drag the files to it. It is possible the files either never had or somehow lost their tag information and are not ending up in the library where you expect them to be. What format files are these? WAV doesn't preserve labels,

How can I restore music from iPhone to iTunes Library?

iTunes deleted music (the proverbial !) in my iTunes library, however the music (I want it in the library) still plays on my iPhone. I have repeatedly trying synching the iPhone (the music is still playing ok on the 3GS) but whenever I click on the song in iTunes library, I get the ! and "cannot locate song". How do I get the music on my iPhone back onto the iTunes Library? I tried synching iPhone but still ! in iTunes. This just happened the other day when I opened iTunes.

If you have back up your music, you can restore from the backup.
To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:
Right-click (or Control-click) the device and choose Restore from Backup
If you have a new phone, you can connect to iTunes and it will prompt to restore from your backup

If you have no backup for your data on iPhone, iPhone data recovery software is your last shot! I used Wondershare iOS Data Recovery and it worked well, there are also other options available.

ICloud for iTunes. Now I can't download music CDs in my iTunes library

Where can I find Music Videos in my iTunes Library

I've recently converted my music videos to the "music videos" category under "Get Info" ~ "Options" ~ "Media Kind". Now the music video are in a separate category under Videos in my Ipod, the issue I can't seem to find them in my iTune Library. I've checked under "Preferences" and can't seem to find it.

The one and only +music video+ that I downloaded from iTunes (it was free) is located (in iTunes) in the main Music library, sorted in the same way as all my regular non-video songs.

If I buy new IPOD can I transfer music from my existing itunes library?

I fear there is something wrong with my current ipod. It will not allow me to update from my existing library.
Question:
If I just go out and buy a brand new ipod, will I be able to plug in to my computer, and then transfer all the music that is currently in my itunes library?

so long as your ipod updater software and itunes meet the minimum system requirements for the ipod, it would be fine. (attractive beast downloads precisely the same music as mauve, from the same library. back in the day, all i had to do was upgrade my ipod software first.)

Can I get someone to move my iTunes library for me?

Old PC, new laptop. Tried to move iTunes library of 3200 songs to new laptop. Followed the procedure for doing so by using my 30 GB iPod as the transfer device. Have now failed twice at it. Always end up with an empty iTunes library on new laptop AND empty iPod.
I am no longer looking for advice on doing this. It would be WAY too easy for me to do something permanent and bad.
My question is: Can I pay someone to do this for me? If so, where? Apple, Best Buy, Circuit City? Does anyone have experience in paying for this service?
I am located in the Northern VA/DC area and can certainly bring everything TO somebody.

Eric, welcome to discussions! I'm assuming your laptop is a PC, if so try iPodAgent for Windows, you should be able to find it on versiontracker.com. It's probably freeware. If your laptop should happen to be a Mac, then check for iPodRip on versiontracker. I have personal experience with iPodRip moving everything from my iPod to a new iMac back in October, it was extremely easy & recovered everything. Post back if you have any questions.
If your not comfortable trying any of these 3rd party apps, I assume Best Buy in your area has the "Geek Squad", you might try them.

To big Itunes library for my Ipod mini

I've got a problem. I just bought my Ipod mini and I'm a novice so I wonder if you need to create a "Library selection" as Itunes suggest when I plug my Ipod in to the computer? I thought I just might create playlists and ad them to my Ipod. My problem is that I haven't figured out how to get the playlists on to my Ipod.

on your iPod is one of it's least documented features.
Fortunately, it's fairly straightforward when you make your way to the iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > iPod tab.
