Can I import Sony .mts files with seperate audio layer into AE?

I can import .mts files from my Sony SR11 OK but the audio is in the same layer as the video content.
When I go to Edit/Edit in Adobe Audition and Audition opens Audition reports in details box, "Error:File not supported by any currently registered plug-ins."
The Audition Audio Plug-in Manager shows no available plug-ins.
Can I import the .mts file as seperate layers as one can with Premiere Pro? Alteratively perhaps, what plug-ins should I look for to add to Audition?

AE doesn't separate audio. You'll have to do it elsewhere, possibly in Premiere Pro or tools like ffmpeg/MPEGStreamclip. It's odd, though. since these components are the same in all the suite apps, a file that works in AE should just the same open in AU (without showing teh video in teh worst case). .mts is just MPEG2 or AVCHD in disguise, anyway, which the apps should open without a hitch - if it's not out of spec. I'd look into your camera settings, though. maybe you recorded to the wrong channels or an odd audio sampel rate and it's messing things up.

  • Can you import Catia V5 files with Acrobat Professional 8.2?

    Hi,
In my version of Acrobat Pro 8.2 there is tab called 3D tool under Tools> advanced editing.
It seems like it should be possible to insert a 3D file in a PDF in this version as well, but it will not recognize my Catia files.
Can I export my catia file to something that the PDF doc understands?
Catia will export to stl, igs, 3dmap, 3dxml, cgr, hcg, vps, vrl
Which formats does it understand, anyway ? I can not find any info in regard to this.
Do I need to upgrade to have this capability?
    Sincerely,
    ggaarde

With Acrobat Professional 8.2 the 3D Tool will only import U3D files.  To import CATIA V5 files you would need to have Acrobat 3D 8.1 or later.  In Acrobat 9 the name was changed to Acrobat Pro Extended.  You do get some huge 3D Tools with the 3D nad/or Extended apps.  However, if you can get your CATIA file converted to U3D format, then you will be able to create a 3D PDF with the Pro version of Acrobat 8.2.

  • Can't Import .avi xvid file with Premiere Elements 11

I just purchased Premiere 11, and it won't import an .avi xvid file. The codec is installed as reported by G-Spot. And the file imports to Win Movie Maker just fine. Any known problems here?
    Thanks

I have used Premiere Elements 11 for a few years and never had any problems with codecs, it ran .avi files fine, but then my hard drive started sending failure eminent warnings so I saved everything I could (for some reason I was never able to save a backup with my old system), I got a new hard drive, loaded a clean new Windows 7 install and built my system from there.
When I got to the Premiere Elements 11 and used it I noticed it came up with the "no codec for .avi" message that I had never seen before and would not play the same .avi movies that I had played with it hundreds of times before.
I was a little baffled so I went back and installed my old Premiere Elements 8 that I used to use and same codec message came up.
I remembered that I had some other video players installed on my old system so I went back and installed the old players one by one.
    1. Cyberlink PowerDVD from the original Dell install didn't fix the codec problem.....
    2. I had the "REAL" player on my old system so I installed it next and it didn't fix the codec problem....(The new "REAL" player live is a little to aggressive for me so I uninstalled it when it didn't fix my problem)
    3. I had Quicktime installed so I installed it again and BINGO, my Premiere Elements 11 now plays .avi files like it used to.
I won't guarantee it will work for everyone but the basic Quicktime player is free so it won't hurt to try it (And it definitely worked for me)

  • How can I import an mp4 file from my video camera into my iPad ?

I'm totally new to this iPad world.  I would like to import a file from my video camera to edit it in iMovies.  I tried adding the file through iTunes, and it appeared to transfer the file to my iPad, but I can't find any way to open the file, not even to play it.  Any help would be appreciated.

The time should already be shown on the status bar, but you can't add the day and/or date to it - if you would like to have them then you coul leave feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
If you want to copy an attachment from an email then you can't do that directly from the Mail app. If the email is still on your provider's server then you should be able to read the email on your provider's site via a browser on your computer and save it from there directly on your computer. Otherwise you will need to copy the file from the Mail app to another app on your iPad via the 'open in' function. Do you have an app on your iPad that supports the type of file that you want to copy ? How you then copy the file to your computer will depend upon what the app that you copy it to supports - different apps have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via your wifi network, dropbox etc

  • How Can I export a h264 file with wav audio?

I'm having troubles to export an edited file in FCPX.
The final result in audio always go in AAC file and the quality is bad. Is it possible to go in Wav?

    Hi Tom!
That's what I do... but the sound goes in a AAC and this format it's worst than wav files!
I think ther's no option to do this in FCPX!

  • Import .mts files with FCP 7?

What I want to know is can fcp import/transfer .mts files?
What I have been doing is using HandBrake, which converts the files to MP4 format and then convert them with MPEG StreamClip into .mov files. Everyone keeps telling me I'm doing too many steps and that I can "just do it with fcp." So far, I haven't been able to do that.
So, right now, I have the sd card with the file structure intact. The files are in  AVCHD format, filmed with a Sony αNex-5 camera. (from sony: 1080i (1,920 x 1,080), 60i (interlaced) fields/second HD recording in  AVCHD format).

I'm a film student and I've taken non-linear editing courses featuring FCP. I'm not an expert, but I do know the basics of file importing/exporting/transfering, etc. I have used a GL2 and have done Log and Capture, Log and Transfer,  as well as read the Canon manual and installed the Canon plug in for FCP. Sony has no plug in or support for Mac owners (they refer all fcp questions to this website) for this camera.
I've tried selecting every file at every level and I get the same response.
File structure (plus there are .cpi files in the clipinf folder, etc.) goes:
    CARD
    PRIVATE, AVF_INFO, DCIM, MISC, MP_ROOT,
    AVCHD, SONY
    BDMV
    STREAM, CLIPINF, INDEX.BDM, MOVIEOBJ.BDM, PLAYLIST
    00001.MTS
The camera shoots AVCHD 1920x1080i. I've read that AVCHD Lite cannot record interlace, so I assume this is not AVCHD Lite. Am I wrong?

  • Mts files cannot imported with audio in pro cc6. how i can import mts files with audio?

when i am importing mts files in pro cc6. every time it is being imported without audio. though original mts files have audio. how can i import mts files with audio in cc6?

To clarify Media Browser suggestion - very important that you copy ALL content from SD card to hard drive before importing using Media Browser. If you only have the .mts files alone, there is stuff missing that is needed for Premiere to properly interpret the video/audio.

  • How can I import a pdf file into numbers so it will open with a click

How can I import a pdf file into a spreadsheet so that it will open with a click?

You can link to a webpage or an email in Numbers-- that's it.
The best way I found to do this is to enable websharing on your machine (see this article if you are running 10.8: http://lowendmac.com/crews/12lc/web-sharing-mountain-lion.html)
You can then place your pdf files in the folder /Users/<your user name>/Sites/<somefolder>
Then link to this using the url  "<your machine name>.local/~<your user name>/<somefolder>/<pdf Name>
My machines name is "Proton" (you can get this from the System Preferences > Sharing pane)
    My user name is "wayne"
so I stored a pdf file (DM00027543.pdf) in the folder "/User/wayne/Sites/PDFTest"
and stored the URL "http://proton.local/~wayne/PDFTest/DM00027543.pdf" in the "URL" field of the Hyperlink inspector

  • I am not being able to play sound when I import a .MTS file from my folder

I am not being able to play sound when I import a .MTS file from my folder on my sequence bar of my Premiere Pro CS6. Even if I use my Media Browser to import the file, the video plays fine, but the audio is disabled it seems. I don't know what to do since I have used .MTS files before without hassle on CS5.5. It is quite frustrating. What can I do?

    Hi debesh05,
Please mention the Operating System that you are using and also make and model of the Camera that was used to capture those clips. Also, try to make another folder with the same name in the same location where the .MTS files are and move all the clips into the new folder and then try to import the files again using Media Browser in Premiere Pro CS6. If this doesn't work then make a copy of one file and rename it as .M2TS and then import that single file into Premiere Pro CS6. Please update if either of the solution works for you.

  • Does Final Cut 7 support direct importing of MTS files from an HD Camera

I have Final Cut Express 4.0.1 and have been importing MTS files from my Camera's Hard Drive to my Mac through the Log and Transfer feature. However, during the upload it converts the files to .MOV. The resulting .MOV files are much larger than the original MTS files. I am interested in learning if the latest Final Cut Studio with Final Cut Pro 7 allows for a direct import of MTS files as well as editing this native format without the need to convert to a .MOV?
Also, I have many MTS files that are now MT2S originally imported onto my old PC that are now stored on Data Discs. Is there any way possible to bring those MT2S files onto my Mac and edit in their native format or will I need to convert them through some third party software to have them editable on by Final Cut Pro?
    Any insight is appreciated!

You can, if you want to jump through some hoops, edit your native AVCHD footage in Final Cut (there is no direct import option but you can capture it into Toast, export that as an .mp4 and bring that into Final Cut Pro.) That being said, it is a very bad idea plus its clunky and slow.
Long story short: Use Log and Transfer and get a big hard drive.

  • Sony mts-files

    I have 3 problems with Sony mts-files (resolution 1440 1080).
    1)  When I export this files in premiere pro cs6 to avi uncompressed files (same resolution) they become 100 times bigger!! From 180 Mb to 20 GB. You can't play them.
    2)  When I export this files in premiere pro cs6 to mp4 (same resolution), they are the same size (180 Mb) and they should be much smaller.
    3)  When I export this files in premiere pro cs6 to dvd (mpeg-2 dvd), the image gets distorted.
It looks like 2 frames combined together all the time.

    1. That's normal.
    2. Not necessarily.   File size depends upon bitrate and duration, nothing else.
    3. Possibly a field order issue.  Make sure you're exporting Upper Field First, same as your media.  (Make sure the sequence is also UFF.)

  • How can I import an ibook file back into iBook Author?

I exported an ebook from iBook Author thinking it is the equivalent of saving the file.
I did not save the file, I only exported it and than exited the program.
    My active file is vannished.
I need to make some adjustments to the ebook, but can not bring it back up.
Is there a way that I can re-import the iBook file back into iBook Author?
When I open iBook Author and try to open the exported file the program does not recognise the ibook file...
    Thanks for your help!

Check for previous versions of that book in iBA....even if not saved.
You can dig into the .ibooks file by changing the suffix to zip, but you'll have to manually extract what you can from assets you find. Please only do this with your own books.

  • Importing From Flat File with Dynamic Columns

    HI
I am using ssis 2008,i have folder in which I have Four(4) “.txt” files each file will have 2 columns(ID, NAME). I loaded 4
files in one destination, but today I receive one more “.txt” file here we have 3 columns (ID, NAME, JOB) how can I get a message new column will receive in source. And how can I create in extra column in my destination table dynamically …please help me

    Hi Sasidhar,
You need a Script Task to read the names and number of columns in the first row of the flat file each time and store it in a variable, then create a staging table dynamically based on this variable and modify the destination table definition if one ore more
new columns need to be added, and then use the staging table to load the destination table. I am afraid there is no available working script for your scenario, and you need some .NET coding experience to achieve your goal. Here is an example you can refer
    to:
