Can I increase site or template resolution in iWeb?

I know that I can increase resolution of a single page from 800 pixel width to whatever I prefer from the pallet menu, but I would like to increase resolution of entire template/site to 1024 width. Is there a way to do it? I searched forum and looked in help files and couldn't find anything on how to change resolution of the entire site vs. having to do it page by page.
Since most people access web with 1023 x 768 or higher resolution it would be nice for Apple to allow user to control resolution of the template/site somewhere in preferences.

Dennis ~ I don't think so — but maybe someone else here knows a way.

Apple's own design award-winning site at apple.com mostly has a width of 980 pixels. Apple's developer guidelines for the iPhone/iPod touch say: "Safari on iPhone also sets the viewport width to 980 pixels, the width of most webpages." And: "...if your webpage is less than 980 pixels wide causing it to scale too small on iPhone..."

  • Error when using ANY "save site as template Include Content" solution to create a NEW Site Collection

Here is the scenario. (SharePoint 2013)
In Dev/Test/Prod any Site that we Save as Template and include content and then, Download and try to use in a new Site Collection errors out upon use "List does not exist" error.
This occurs with ANY Site, even OOB Team Site template that is immediately "Saved as Template".
We can do this in any other environment (we have several test labs 1 in O365 and 1 in VM that is very OOB)
We can take the site solution from the environments we're having the issue in and use them successfully in our Lab environments (on prem or in the cloud).
We have also tried taking Site solution from lab environment (where we know it works fine) and tried to use these in Dev/Test/Prod and they also error on us.
In the Dev/Test/Prod environments that have the issue if we DO NOT include content, the template works just fine to create a new site collection with the template.
Keep in mind we're talking about environment with no 3rd party apps, no custom code, just 2013 SharePoint with all patches and CU up to June 2013, AND this is ANY template even a vanilla OOB template without anything in it.
You can always save site as template including content, download/upload it to new site collection solutions gallery and activate it without any issue... it's only if you try to use these templates to create a site that the error occurs.
    Any thoughts on this?
    J

I also experiencing the same issue. I also tried to create a new site-collection using publishing site template, resulting in "list not found" error.
Later I tried just a team-site (with content) -> the same error.
The error appears on two different (post SP1) farms. That's why I tested the site-collection creation on an old (pre SP1) farm: the error doesn't exist. Site-Collections are created properly.
My conclusion is: either SharePoint SP1 or a later CU causing the error.

  • How can I increase resolution when saving file as PDF?

I am sending some illustrated files to a professional printing press that only accepts PDFs, however they say the resolution is too low and should be 300dpi. How can I increase resolution? Only option I could find was to try to create a new filter in Color Sync by duplicating PDFX3 filter and editing it to the desired resolution, however I couldn't get new filter to save my resolution inputs. Any help is appreciated!

You really need something like Acrobat which will install a "Save as Adobe PDF" under the PDF menu. You can select press quaility," "high quality print," etc., and get a true high res PDF.
If you'd like to just give it a shot, try downloading one of the OS X CS6 suites that include Adobe Acrobat Pro for a free 30-day trial. I've never used SketchBook Pro, but Acrobat may help you out.

  • Can I increase dpi of a high resolution image in Photoshop elements?

    Hi,
I have been asked to provide a photo of one of our products for press but they have requested an image which is 300dpi. The image I have is a reasonably high resolution of 1450 x1672 pixels but the dpi is under 100. Can I increase it on Photoshop elements or would I need something more advanced. If I can please tell me how. Thank you

You must mean Photoshop Elements 11, not Photoshop.
There is no ability to change the size of the menu font in PSE 11.

Please move to the Photoshop Elements forum.

Can I increase the resolution in a jpg created from an imovie clip? I've done the steps to create/extract a "still" from an iMovie clip (which started as a small clip in iphoto). I did the steps of creating the freeze frame, and then doing a "screen shot", but the resolution is only 97 kb, so it won't be good to print. Help!

  • Can DW apply a 'master' template ACROSS sites?

    Hi,
I'm using DW8.02 to manage several sites.
While each site does have its own 'local' template in the
Templates directory, I want to implement the idea of a 'master'
template that applies to ALL sites. This master template will
contain stuff common to ALL my sites, and each individual site's
template will be nested within this master template.
What I'd really like to be able to do is to define this
'master' template once only (in one of my sites) and have it update
ALL sites (not just the one I've defined it in) when I change it. I
can't find a way of doing this -- does anyone know how to, please?
The problem I seem to be having is that DW seems to treat different
sites completely separately, and that there seems to be no notion
of considering other sites during template updates.
(I know I could have a duplicate copy of the 'master'
template for EACH site, but then I would have to update it in
several places whenever there are changes!)
Many thanks in advance, and I hope someone has an idea about
    how to do this!
    Kind regards,
    Nick

  • How can I increase resolution when burning a dvd with elements 11 premiere

How can I increase resolution when burning a dvd with elements 11 premiere
I am trying to generate a slide show DVD....the pictures on the TV are poor quality

    Welcome to the forum.
As Steve points out, a DVD-Video is set in resolution, to 720 x 480 (for NTSC), in either Standard 4:3, or Widescreen 16:9. That is as good as it can get, and is not a limitation of PrE, but of the DVD-Video specs, which were written a long time ago.
The best that one can get is to play that DVD-Video on an up-rezzing DVD player, or most BD players, that also have up-rezzing, to an HD TV monitor. Those players have dedicated chips, JUST for up-rezzing.
Then, and per Peru Bob's questions, I attain the ultimate Still Images to DVD-Video, by doing my Scaling in Photoshop, and using either the Bicubic Sharper, or Bicubic Smoother Scaling algorithms. I Scale my Camera RAW Images to match my Project's Frame Size, and Crop, where necessary to match the Aspect Ratio of my Images, to the Aspect Ratio of the Project, i.e. if going to a 16:9 Widescreen, I will lose some pixels top and bottom, but I account for that, per my asesthetic.
Note: some PrE users insist that the Scaling in PrE is as good as Photoshop's, but my critical eyes point to using PS. Also, I do NOT use JPEG, which is a lossy, compressed format, and will Save_As PSD from Photoshop, for ultimate quality.
Good luck, and please let us know the pixel x pixel dimensions of your Images.

  • Font too small to read increase site font size

IThe font in firefox keeps decreasing in size. Most sites font is probably a 6 or 7 pt. Ridiculous and I cannot find out how to change it. Please help immediately or I will have to cancel firefox account. Norton does not indicate I have any virus of any sort affecting computer.

Have you tried Firefox's zoom feature? Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages
You can "zoom" all sites using this add-on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint]. After setting your global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites.
After installing NoSquint, click the % on the Add-on Bar to call up site preferences, then click the Global Settings button, then the Zooming tab.
If you don't have the Add-on Bar displayed, you can right-click the new tab button ("+") or a blank area of the tab bar to the right of it and choose Add-on Bar from the shortcut menu.
You can experiment with sizes larger than 125%, but I wouldn't go much higher than 150% unless you have a large high-resolution monitor.
If there are particular sites that still present a problem, feel free to post their URLs.
You can find more information about the zoom features Firefox offers in these articles:
[[Text zoom]] - For zooming text only
[[Page zoom]] - For zooming the whole page (including images etc.)

    David.

Paragraph breaks are good for readability. ;-)
Have you noticed any difference between your MacBook and others at the Apple store? Wondering whether this is a configurable setting at the system level, i.e., DPI.
You can default Firefox to a larger zoom level to avoid having to zoom every page. You'll still be able to adjust the size for individual sites as needed. It sounds as though you are aware of these add-ons:
    * Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    * NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
There are some discussions about changing coming in Firefox 22 (I think) to address higher density displays like the Retina display. So perhaps there will be a built-in setting to address this in the future.

  • How can I set the workgroup templates file location in Office 2013 to point at a folder stored on Sharepoint (2010/2013)?

    Hi All,
Been doing quite a bit of research on this but drawn nothing but blanks or alternative suggestions, none of which are viable.
So the outline of the issue:
Deploying Office 2013 suite to organisation and wanting to have custom templates available for users to choose from, but want those templates to be centrally stored and managed on a SharePoint site.
In Word 2013, for example, when you create a new document, you are presented with a page to choose from 'Featured' templates (or blank document)
So, if you wanted to have custom corporate templates, you could modify the file location for work group templates, thus creating a Custom Office Templates folder locally on your PC.
Great. This means when you select 'New' in Word 2013 you can pick from the 'Featured' templates, or the 'Personal' templates area.
However, I have a collection of test corporate templates (for Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc). These are stored on a SharePoint site internally.
If I try to modify the work group templates location in Word 2013 to point towards my SharePoint site (or any HTTP address for that matter) it won't work.
I know that I could point it towards a Network Share location instead, but I don't want to do that.
Is there any way of getting it to point towards a SharePoint site, any way of modifying it? Or perhaps an even better solution that I could use?
Any help, thoughts or ideas would be massively appreciated! And forgive me if any of my logic is off, but it does seem like this should be a straight forward thing to do given that Office and SharePoint are both developed by Microsoft and you
would like to think they would inherently have better links!
NOTE: Going to Office 365 is also not an option either!
Eagerly awaiting an answer from someone incredibly clever!

    Hi Tony,
Thanks for your response but this is not what I was looking for.
Those articles relate to setting a default template in a SharePoint document or form library.
I will try to be more concise.
    What I want is:
    (1) For users to be able to load MS Word 2013 on their laptops/desktops (connected to corporate Wireless/LAN)
    (2) Once they have opened MS Word 2013, I want them to be able to choose a template from the welcome screen. (There are MS Word Defaults like 'Blank Document' or 'Cover Letter' etc)
I want to add a second tab which is called 'Personal' or 'Corporate'.
    (3) MS Word 2013 allows you to create custom WORD templates and save them locally on your machine (either in the default location for templates, or a user-specified custom location (e.g. My Documents, Desktop etc).
    (4) In advanced settings, there is an option to modify file locations. This is where you can point MS Word 2013 towards the folder (locally) that contains the personal templates that you have designed which you want to use.
    (5) QUESTION: Is there a way to have lots of corporate WORD templates (perhaps one for Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Project etc) - Basically LOTS of different templates all stored in one location on SHAREPOINT, or in a SharePoint document
library. THEN... once those templates (documents) are stored on SharePoint,
IS THERE A WAY to go back into the advanced settings within MS WORD 2013 and modify the file location for templates so that it points towards the SharePoint document library?
I want all the templates to open in MS Word 2013, not within a browser, and I don't want users to have to go to SharePoint to find a template, I want it to be integrated into their local MS Word 2013 so they can choose a corporate template the moment they
    load up MS Word 2013.
When I have tried to modify the custom file location for templates, I can only set it to an address locally on my machine, or a network address (mapped network drive).
However, I do not want the templates to be stored on a shared network folder, I want them to be in a SharePoint Document Library.
The issue I have found is that I cannot enter a SharePoint Library URL as my file location, nor can I enter any HTTP address.
IS THERE A WAY AROUND THIS?

  • How to Save site as template in SharePoint 2010

    hello,
I am little bit confused about how I can save a site as a template in moss 2010!
In SharePoint 2007 it was simple > site actions > save site as template... and done!
but I do not find how to make that in the new SharePoint, I would be really happy if someone could tell me how to do that.
    I found some tutorial:
To create a Site Template, browse to the Site you want to create from.  Go to Site Actions –> Site Settings –> Save site as template (under the Site Actions heading).  Give your template a name, and don't forget to check the "Include Content" box if you want to include library and list content in the template.  This will create a new site template in your Solutions Gallery, which you can then use when creating new sites.  You can also download directly from the Solutions Gallery to a .WSP file.
but the thing is, I do not have the "save site as template" link! I also checked if I need some special site feature activated, but I have all activated.
    thank you in advance

I imagine you are trying to save a publishing site as a template, correct? If so, the save as site template link is not available for publishing sites. This was not supported in MOSS and I imagine isn't in SharePoint 2010. The reason was due to publishing sites having pages and layouts tied to content types that do not move with the template.
If you would like a work around, you can disable the publishing feature (which will then make the save as site template link visible), save the site as a template, then re-enable the publishing feature. You would have to re-enable the publishing feature on each new site built from this template, if desired.
Go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Manage site features under Site Actions. Deactive the SharePoint Server Publishing feature, then go back to the Site Settings page. You should now see the save as site template link. After you save the template, turn back on SharePoint Server Publishing.

We use Windows 7 64bit computers and Dell High Density UltraSharp UP2414Q monitors with a resolution of 3840 x 2160.
Other applications in Adobe CC 2014 work fine with this high resolution (Indesign, Photoshop) but I can't find where to adjust font size in Bridge.
