Nope this appears to be a WiFi model only if my information is correct. If you have the device to hand then check it for a SIM card tray. With the Home key at the bottom the SIM card try if available will be in the top-left corner.

  • Can I insert a SIM card into the iPhone 4S and activate Verizon later?

I am currently on AT&T right now. My billing cycle ends on October 18th which is 4 days after I should get the new iPhone 4S. I am planning to switch to Verizon so I also know that if you don't activate your phone, verizon will not start the billing cycle (for up to 14 days, after that which if you still have not activated the phone, Verizon will charge you full retail price). So while I wait 4 days for my AT&T billing cycle to be over, can I just stick my AT&T sim card into the iPhone 4S and then use AT&T without having to activate on Verizon? (after 4 days I will activate on Verizon). thank you!

What, you can't afford to overlap your phone plans for 4 days?
You will NOT be able to buy a Verizon iPhone 4S and walk out without having it activated on the spot. In addition, you will NOT be able to put an AT&T SIM into a Verizon iPhone 4S. If they treat it like their other world phones, it will only take a SIM issued by Verizon and provisioned for International roaming.

  • Can you use a sim card with the ipad??

I am planning on buying an ipad, but was wondering if there was a sim card option for it. I will be mostly using it in a country where wifi is very scarce. Any input?
Also, what do they mean by 3G enabled.
Thank you so much for your help!!!

A lot depends on how much you intend to use it when away from home.
Would you be in the vicinity of Wifi hotspots?
The 3G model costs £100 more (an extra 25% of the cheapest model) plus whatever your data plan is.
If you are not regularly in the vicinity of hotspots, and not likely to be a heavy user, the cheaper option is to purchase a Mifi (yes, Mifi) device from a network such as 3. It is the size of a small mobile phone and connects wirelessly to your iPad. The device and a 12gb download over 12 months costs very little more than the extra price for the 3G model. Other plans are also available with the 3 network. Google 3 Mifi.
    Hope this helps.

How do I insert the SIM card into the iPad mini?  It is different tray to iPad 3. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Try the number 0000 or 1234 If this doesn't work ask for a PUCK code from your sim provider Also try the Passcode you use when you  turn iPad on Its a good think to have a simlock because if you lose your iPhone /iPad someone can use your  Simcard If it's not got a lock on. Cheers Brian

  • Can I use the iPone 3gs SIM Card with the iPad 2?

Can I use the iPone 3gs SIM Card with the iPad 2

The iPhone 3GS uses a full size SIM card.
The iPad uses a micro-SIM card.

  • Which SIM card does the iPad mini take? Does it have to be specific type of SIM for the iPad mini?

  • HT4053 Does the iPhone 5 lock you to a network after inserting a SIM card for the first time?

If you buy an unlocked iPhone 5, when you insert your SIM card does it then lock the iPhone to that network, so that you then need an unlock code to switch networks.

I have read other posts and have the answer. No need to respond to this question.

  • Can I add a 3g sim card to the ipad?

    Can I add a 3g Wifi card to a wifi-enabled iPad?

If you have a wifi-only iPad then you can't add a micro-sim card to the actual iPad - it doesn't have a sim slot or the hardware within it to use it. You might be able to get a mifi device, or use an iPhone as a personal hotspot for the iPad.

  • Can I rent a SIM card in the UK for my 5s?

i'm traveling to the UK in july. last time i was there, i paid AT&T extra to be able to use my iphone, including voice and data. however, it was quite expensive. it seems since i have a GSM phone, i should be able to simply rent a SIM card from a UK telco (vodafone rents them).
is it as easy as popping the old one out and putting the new one in and then calling a number to activate it? what about reactivating my old SIM when i return?
if anyone has successfully done this, i'd love to hear about it.
    thanks!

Rent? No. If you've had your phone unlocked by AT&T, you can buy a pre-paid SIM card from a carrier in the UK.
If your phone is still carrier locked to AT&T, then no. You can't do that.
i'm still under contract, so AT&T won't unlock my phone. my wife's iphone 5, however may be able to be unlocked (she joined AT&T a year after me, so we alternate).

  • Where can I buy a SIM card for my iPad in Germany that will also work in France and Belgium?Germ

I am travelling to Germany for 2 weeks in mid-July and would like a SIM card that would work there, and France and Belgium.
Do they sell them in the Frankfurt airport?
Anyone knows where they sell them in Cologne?
A company called 'Cellular Abroad Support' (American) will sell me one for $59 plus $8.95 to cut it into a micro SIM.
What is the best way to go?
    My computer skills are minimal.
    Txs.

    Hi
On the Toshiba website you can search for the nearest authorized service provider. They sell all original Toshiba spare parts. Call them and ask for a new keyboard, they can order a new one for you.
Here you can search for the nearest ASP:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Find an authorized service provider
Second hands you get from eBay for example but normally keyboards are not so expensive so I would buy a new one.

  • Do you need a sim card for the iPad 3G and when I try to download something from the app store my screen has a black box appear is that normal and why is this happening?

My app store does not let me download things , when I sghn in a black box appers , also does a iPad 1 3G need a sim card to download apps ?

You posted in the iPod Shuffle forum; it might be best to post in the iPad forum, as I was a bit confused at first. Anyway,
It doesn't need a SIM to download apps if you have Wi-Fi. Can you describe this box a little more, or better yet, screenshot it?
    Taking a Screenshot:
Quickly press then release the home and power buttons at the same time.
Get the photo on your computer and upload it here.
If you don't want to do this, can you describe it a little more? When you say "black box," I'm guessing it's an outlined box that appears around any item that you tap on. Is this correct? If so, it sounds like VoiceOver was enabled. See:
    Turning VoiceOver On or Off

  • If iphone is BNIB on a different network can i insert my sim card before syncing to itunes to unlock (not jailbreak).

I am looking at buying an iPhone from eBay as my O2 contract is pretty good and I don't want to lose this. I read somewhere that a Brand new in box iPhone is sim unlocked already even though it was from a vodafone or 3 contract. So as long as I put my current sim in before I sync to iTunes all should work smoothly. But it does need to be BNIB as an unwanted upgrade from the carrier.
The reasons I am looking to do this is mainly down to:
    1) my contract being unlimited data allowance which 2 different people from O2 have told me that I can use with my new iPad 2 wifi with the portable hotspot app.
    2) If I buy an iPhone through O2 I will lose my current contract and still pay a good £300+ for a new iPhone 4 and be stuck with a 1gb data limit. (Last month I used 3gb).
    Any help lads / lasses?

I read somewhere that a Brand new in box iPhone is sim unlocked already even though it was from a vodafone or 3 contract.
That is incorrect. iPhones sold by the carrier are, except in countries where locking is illegal or otherwise not done, locked to the carrier. The carrier may offer unlocking services, but often only for the original contract holder. I would strongly suggest caution when considering this iPhone or any from eBay; it's highly likely that is was jailbroken to unlock it (making it not "new in the box") and would lock back to the original carrier when the OS is upgraded or restored.
If you want an unlocked iPhone, the safest route is to purchase from Apple, which is to the best of my knowledge the only official source for unlocked iPhones in the UK.
    Regards.

  • There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate. Please disconnect and insert a SIM card in the iPhone.

    Hi all
I have a probleum with iphone 4s, the screen sliding bar is lock and i can not do any thing, even i press the power button and home buton same time to reset it
but not sucsess..........any body help me to out this situation.

Was your iPhone previously jailbroken or modified to work with
other than the original wireless provider?
Did you recently update your iOS version or restore your iPhone?
Is there a sim in the iPhone? There must be a sim in the iPhone to
activate it. It does not have to be a sim associated with an active
cellular account; but if the iPhone is locked to a wireless provider,
the sim must be from that provider.
