Can I install a CC account on an idle machine?

The machine doesn't have a specific user and only serves for eventual interns, so there is no email address tied to this machine.
Could I just put another account under my email address? In this case, I'd have 2 CC accounts. Would this cause a conflict or is there a better way?

We have CC for teams. One of the seats is for an intern machine. That intern machine is normally idle and doesn't have a specific user assigned to it. Therefor there is no user email address for it. Can one user (myself) be assigned an additional seat so I can install CC on the intern machine? By doing this, I wouldn't want to encounter any conflicts with the seat I already have...
I already have CC installed on my machine (at work) and my laptop (at home) under the 1 seat I've been assigned.

You have to download and run the setup.exe on a Windows system.
That will then download Windows and you can choose at the end to create install media, then choose to save as an iso.
It has to be done on a Windows machine and if you want to download 64 bit Windows it must be run on a 64 bit Windows machine.

I purchased LE9 and successfully installed it on my Mac Mini a few years ago.
Recently I bought a used Macbook Pro and tried to install LE9 on it but after entering the serial number and about an hour of installation, it failed.
the Macbook Pro i bought came with a bunch of sofwares already installed by the previous owner. is that part of the problem?
i already made sure that my Mac Mini is turned off.
Do i have to hard reset the MacBook Pro?

The license says you can only install on one laptop and one desktop machine. Try uninstalling it from the old laptop and see if that fixes it.

Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID.

Error 36 - can't install App - iTunes account confusion

Some Background:
There was some serious confusion last year as the school started setting up iPads using Configurator. For some reason the ipad person then used their personal iTunes AppleID to download the apps - the paid ones are the only ones i'm having problems with.
their personal AppleID was NOT used to purchase the apps - but a second one.
This year we switch the machine to using an institutional AppleID - have purchased additional codes using the correct VPP account. Successfully imported the codes into Apple Configurator.
When trying to push the app onto the ipads, I'm getting a error code #36 - "Unable to redeem code for XXXX. Sign in with your [?] and password or create a new Apple ID to redeem your Gift Certificate or Prepaid Card."
I went so far as to unsupervise a device and start from scratch - same issue.
iTunes **IS** authorized for the institutional account.
SO.....
is is possible that the codes are tied into the personal VPP account used for part of last year?
Really - we could have codes tied to TWO AppleIDs?
Can iTunes be authorized for two different AppleIDs?
anyone know of any way to resolve this situation?

I'll attempt to answer the questions that you posed in the OP and also explain what I have discovered as a workaround (albeit a very annoying one) for the issue.
1. It is entirely possible that the VPP codes are tied to the older, personal VPP account. VPP codes do not have to be downloaded by the same account that they are purchased with, in fact, in my experience, you cannot create an Apple ID for use in the iTunes Store with the account that you use to purchase VPP codes.
2. You also could have codes associated with two Apple ID's, though again, I have never been able to use an Apple ID it iTunes that I used to purchase VPP codes.
3. iTunes can be authorized by multiple Apple ID's. I assume that there is an upper limit to the number of accounts that can be authorized on a single library, but I do no know what that number is.
4. There is no way to truly "resolve" this situation. One of the major problems with the Apple ID system is that there is no way to transfer purchases between Apple ID's. That being said, if the old VPP codes have already been used, be advised that you never actually have those codes opened back up, as they have already been redeemed in the store. You will simply have additional licenses of an app available through Configurator to install to devices.
As far as the issue described, I too ran into the problem of getting the error code 36. I discovered that before I deploy paid apps, if I open iTunes (with Configurator closed) and choose "Authorize this Computer" from the Store menu, I can re-authorize the system (I get a message stating that the computer has already been authorized.) Once that is complete, I open Configurator and start a deployment, and once I start that Configurator will prompt me for the Apple ID password to complete the app deployment. The really unfortunate part of the process is that I have to perform this process every single time I start a new deployment of paid apps, even if no changes have been made in Configurator between installations. It appears to me that plist is not getting updated, but I am not familiar enough with Configurator to confirm this is the case. It is certainly annoying, but this workaround is at least allowing me to get devices deployed.

All you need to do is ,whenever you wish to use Photoshop and Lightroom , sign out from Creative Cloud app and Sign in with Personal account .

Can't install Mavericks, damaged disk, restore from Time Machine, unable to find destination disk. What to do?

After downloading Mavericks, tried installing, it told me that I have a damaged disk and to restore from backup. Selected Time Machine's latest backup. Then I was prompted to select backup disk. My only option was the Mac HD icon with a "?" on top of it, unable to verify disk. With the "continue" button grayed out, I hit the back button a few times in an attempt to start over. I went back to the install page and it started installing. 40 minutes later it was up and running. Every thing seemed fine. I tried opening GarageBand, I got the spinning wheel. Then a prompt page asking me to select a language. I selected English and the computer shutdown. It being late and I being frustrated, I decided to wait until morning.
On startup I got the message that I have a damaged disk and to restore from backup. Selected Time Machine's latest backup. Then I was prompted to select backup disk. This time there was no icon or anything to choose from.
I'm wondering if I need to use my original Mac mini, Mac OS X install DVD, or is it time for a trip to the Apple store.
Ideas and options welcome.

It sounds as if your hard drive may have failed or may be failing. Boot your computer from the REcovery Disk by holding down the Command+R keys during the boot. From the Recovery drive you can run Disk Utility. Once in DU select your hard drive then run "Repair Disk".
If errors are found and repaired run Repair Disk a second time.
If errors are found and not repaired you are going to need a more robust volume repair utiity such as DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro, or Drive Genius and an external drive to boot from to run the repairs or...

An Early 2008 or later Mac Pro is supported for installing Windows 7 64-bit.
All Intel-based Macs with a t least a Core 2 Duo or better processor is 64-bit.

Can't install flash player on 90% of office machines

Right we're running various HP's here all XP most with XP SP2
a few with SP3.
If I try to install flash player on them all it does is
basically refresh the adobe screen,.

OK so for a laugh after bashing my head against bosses laptop
for the entire morning and still getting the same as above.
I thought I'd go back to the BBC website and play a video.
It works. When I run the version checker it says WIN
9,0,124,0 now so it's definitly on there.
How and when it installed as everytime I've run the install
all that's happened is the above mentioned screen refresh.
Wish I did know would make doing the other machiens so much
easier.
So just got to try this on all the other machines now.

Can't install Encore 2.0 on new Vista machine

Called support on the 800 number today. Waited for 20 minutes only to discover that they can't help me over the phone with the 2.0 version of Encore. They can only support that here on the forum. OK then, here's my issue. This software was purchased by me for my job at a university. It is the educational version of Encore 2.0. My previous computer used for multimedia production was running XP SP2 and everything worked fine with the program. But, the software simply won't install on my new computer which runs Vista with SP1. I did deactivate the software on the old XP machine first, according to the instructions and was told I could now reactivate on a new computer. After going through the install motions at the very end of the process the software said "rolling back" installation and "could not be completed." All very frustrating. I had purchased the upgrade to 2.0 less than 18 months ago. But no tech support by phone. I will now assume that if I were to buy a CS 4 component tomorrow there will not be technical support via phone for the product after 2009. If someone can assist me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm... guess it depends on the individual computer, or exactly what Encore and/or Premiere are doing at the time... 'cause I know I've read messages from people who have tried task switching, and whatever they were doing promptly stopped
I didn't pay much attention (can't even remember if it was Encore or Premiere, but think Premiere) but it seems to me that if the program was DOING something, like rendering, the operation failed when focus shifted to another program
Oh well... I've always just started Encore or Premiere and walked away for awhile unti it was done
So... I guess the best thing to do for anyone who wants to know... start something going in Encore or Premiere and then Alt-Tab to another program, and see what happens

Can't install ML. Disk used for time machine

When I choose my machintosh HD drive to install mountain lion says "This disk is used for time machine backups". HELP!!!

Although this may be too late for the OP, here's the answer: If you see a Backups.backupdb folder on your main harddrive, either remove it or rename it. That seems to be the only qualifier for calling a disk a Time Machine Backups disk as far as the installer is concerned.
