If your system does not meet the minimum system requirements you have to go back to a version that does. Try the direct download links you'll find here.. CS5 comes bundled with CS4 for AE which is the last version to run on a 32 bit system.

Can't install After Effects as full version

Hi, I can't install After Effects as full version although veing customer of the complete CC. With all the other programs it works fine (I installed them via desktop application) but after effects is still shown as test version. And this free trial is over now. Instead of giving me the intsall or udpate button ot shows the buy-button. Has anyone had the same problem or knows what to do? Many thanks

If you did all the process correct, and your plan is paid I only see one way to solve this issue.
Follow this steps and for sure your problem will be solved.
Windows
Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.
Right-click the hosts file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example,127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.
Mac OSLog in as an administrator to edit the hosts file in Mac OS.
In a Finder window, choose Go > Go To Folder.
Type /etc.
Select the hosts file and open it.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example,127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.
After editing this Hosts file, open Adobe creative cloud and log in once again. Is important that you start once again the session so Adobe creative cloud recognizes that Hosts file was edited.
You can do this by clicking in:
Preferences»Log out.

Can't install After Effects for 2 months. No help from Adobe.

I am tired of the complete disregard Adobe shows to its customers.
I can't install After Effects. All other apps do install.

Marcos-Brazil what error messages do you receive when you try to install After Effects? What version of After Effects are you attempting to install? What operating system are you using?

Why I can't install after effect cc 2014?

I can only install the CS6 but I need the CC (for warp stabilizer VFX).
mac user, osx 10.6.8, theacher version.

i have adobe cs5 master collection and every thing was fine untill my computer crashes due to virus i finally i install windows 7 on my computer.
and when i try to install my adobe cs5 master collection on my new os every thing installed except after effects and i am getting an error message.?
can you please help me out to install after effects on my new os.? the error message is some of the features are missing.? thats why after effects installation can't be completed.?

and it has os requirement not met i have windows 7 professional with 64 bit.
first message says some required components may have failed to install.
this could impact functionality of installed applications.
some of the solution they are providing.
1.restart the application.
2.exti all applications including start up items virus checking and firewall software.
3.launch the installer and reinstall your application.

Can't Install After Effects CS5 Trial on Windows XP (64 Bit)

I tired to install the AE CS5 trial yesterday on my computer and it had the error message, "Adobe After Effects CS5 is installable only on 64-bit systems." My computer is pretty crappy, but it IS a 64bit system. Here are my specs of this old budget pc...

Can't install After Effects trial but can install other Adobe programs?

I've been trying to download the After Effects trial on my Vista for the past two hours to no avail, with "Error 107". I've tried the troubleshooting on your website, following "Solution 1", clearing cookies, deleting files, trying the download through Chrome AND Internet Explorer, the good old restart the computer, saving the Download Assistant in multiple locations, and NOTHING worked. So I tried seeing if this was the case for all Adobe programs, and every other one works perfectly through the ADA. The problem seems to lie within the After Effects. What's going on and how can I solve this?

Do you have a 64-bit version of Vista?
You cannot install or run After Effects CS5/5.5 on any of the following operating systems:
32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows XP Home or Professional

Can't install After Effects CS5

Hi all
I need help; I just picked up Adobe After Effects CS5, but I can't install it because it says it is "only installable on a 64-bit system." I'm running Windows XP SP3, and I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Adobe Support Advisor also picked up no issues with it.
Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

The CS5 video products - Premiere Pro CS5 , and After Effects CS5 require 64-bit processor and OS. Please see the system requirements page for details.

Can you Install after effects on multiple systems?

i have an editing group and we all have saved up to get after effects cs3 pro but now were afraid only one of us can use it.
is it illegal or something to try to install it on like 4 computers or is it ok? because i dont want to buy it 4 times since we have low budget and i dont wanna get in trouble so im asking the people here

Creative Cloud allows licensing in two machines at the same time. They can be any OS so you can have one Mac and one Windows version running at the same time.
If you purchase a perpetual license I believe it is OS specific, however Adobe has allowed cross platform transfers at no charge for as long as I remember. You just can't run your two versions on different platforms at the same time. I think this is still the same because the serial numbers for my CS6 licenses for Windows are different than the serial numbers for Mac.
If I'm wrong about the perpetual license I'm sure Todd or another Adobe employee will step in and clear things up.

Can't Install After Effects CC or CS6 in New Macbook Pro 15inch

Please, urgent help required. After Effects is not starting. Its installing, then saying this current version of After Effects v.12 is not compatible with my OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks. no problem with any other software. Its the first time ever something like this has happened.
I had installed CS6 previously, and same result. Not compatible. So i deleted it. But on the Creative Cloud App, it still shows !!

I'm running CS6 and CC on a MacBookPro R and have been from day one. What problems are you having? What is the exact error message? What other apps have you installed? Have you read any of the dozens of other threads on install problems available on this forum and others?
By the way, you should never just DELETE an Adobe App, they have uninstallers. You must now download the Adobe Cleaner tool (just Google it) and clean your machine, then try again.
Also, you must have the right CUDA version installed for AE to take advantage of Ray-traced rendering. Not having Cuda installed will not prevent AE from running but you will get a warning.

I in the near future I want to add a server to my home setup so I can access files from anywhere and have more storage than my current computer. To save time I want to be able to render animations on my server but still be able to work in after effects on my desktop. Is this possible. I currently own a copy of the CS6 Production Premium (Student Edition) with AE Being the main software in my arsenal.
