I am using Crystal XII R2 SP2 in a Vista Business Workstation. I'm using this specific version because i need to develop reports used in a ERP app that uses this version as a reporting engine.
Can i install Crystal 2008 side-by-side with XII R2 SP2?

Yes, you can install Crystal Reports 2008 side by side with Crystal Reports XI Release 2. This is supported by Business Objects.

You need to put the Tiger Install Disc in the 2011 iMac, boot the 2011 uMac into Target mode...

Boot the G4 holding the Option or alt key, hopefully the Install Disc in the 2011 iMac will show as a boot choice.
We just want to use the 2011 iMac as a big expensive FW Optical drive, it cannot be installed osing the 2011 iMac itself.

more importantly, why would you leave acrobat standard on a computer that has acrobat pro?
you should uninstall standard, clean (if you're using a win computer - Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then install pro

I NEED DLT support, can I install only Encore 5.5 along side CS6??

I need DLT support (dropped from CS6 thru some brain-fart by Adobe), can I install only Encore 5.5 and not the rest of the Creative Suite without interfering with CS6? I need to master dual-layer DVDs to DLT tapes and CS6 does not support DLT anymore. For single layer DVDs I can create them in CS6 and master the ISO out to tape on another computer running Encore CS2, but that method doesn't support dual-layer ISOs, they have to be mastered to DLT directly from Encore.
I do not use dynamic link and am fine with using CS6 to get the video ready for conversion to MPEG and AC3. I just don't want to mess up CS6 and don't want a lot of crap I won't be using (the rest of CS5.5) laying around on my hard disk waiting to foul me up in some way in the future.
Anyone done this, heard of it being done, etc?
If I need to I'll revert entirely back to CS5.5, but I REALLY like CS6 except for the one disaster where DLT mastering support was dropped out (a move which may truly be a deal breaker on CS6 for me).

No problem installing CS6 over CS5 and/or CS5.5.
I did not find anything in the PR forum right off to give us an example of CS5.5 over CS6. CS4 over CS5 was a problem, and I developed the general belief that one should not install a lower version after a higher. It is not always a problem, but I don't trust it.
I have CS5, CS5.5, and CS6 installed together with no problems. But I installed in that order.
If I were you, I'd consider biting the bullet, uninstalling CS6 (with all the cleaning etc), and then install CS5.5 and then CS6.
Alternatively, do a fresh install of your whole system.
If either of those two reinstalls, you could install CS5.5 over CS6, and let us know how you fare!

I can't install Windows 8.1 on my Imac 27" with Mavericks using Bootcamp. Why? I first did all the software updates needed, downloaded the driver software to a 32Gb flash drive formatted as FAT32, fired up Bootcamp Assistant, inserted the Windows 8.1 Full version 64 bit installation DVD as requested, and got as far as partitioning (tried this at 82 Gb for the Windows partition), then the MAC rebooted but halted before getting to the login page. Then a black screen came up with the error message: 'non-system disk - Press any key to reboot'. I did this and nothing happened. I was forced to shut down forcibly then restart with my finger held down on the option key. Then a screen came up with two icons: the macintosh HD icon and the Windows DVD icon. I double-clicked on the Windows DVD icon and the MAC came up with another black screen and error message: 'CDBoot: Couldn't find BOOTMGR'. Had to shut down forcibly again and restart as before, this time ejecting the Windows DVD first. Then I repartitioned my MAC back to all OSX. What the **** do I do now? Applecare couldn't help me beyond this point. They said to contact Microsoft. I notice a lot of other MAC owners have had similar problems.

How many computers can I install Indesign CS4 and Illustrator CS4 on with an Asia Pacific Education version?

I've tried to have a look around among discussions, however, as it's CS4 and thus pretty outdated at this point, I'm having to start something new.
This is not for me, but a community organisation that I am volunteering for that has the copies and has asked me to see if they're allowed to install it on another computer within their small office.

I believe you can only install an educational version on one computer. But an educational version is for one student/teacher and cannot be sold/given away to others, so they may be far out already.
But you should ask someone from Adobe.

I have a fully licensed version of windows XP that I used for snow leopard, but bootcamp on my new macbook air only recognizes windows 7.
A) can I install XP and skip 7? How?
B) if not, can I buy a windows 7 upgrade and somehow use my licenced XP as a baseline? If so, how?
C) It would suck if I have to buy another full version of windows 7 just because I upgraded to Lion.
D) Would it be worth removing lion from my new macbook, installing snow leopard, then installing XP and then upgrading to Lion? How bass ackwards would that be?

Apple doesn't supply any drivers for new Mac Sandy Bridge for XP, and you do need drivers.

I purchase one graphic card 280 GTX OC made by MSI, and with that I change everything in my comp., like proc., MB, DDR2, PSU, all are new. I have first a compatibility problem: my old MB its not supporting the new 45 mn Intel proc., and my "old" PSU (Antec True Power 650W) doesn't have 12V rail with 8 pin for graphic card, so I change'm both with :MB - Asus P5Q, and PSU - Corsair 750TX. OK, when I start the system, eveything it's ok, like booting, entering BIOS, do changes and save(green led on VGA on). When I try to install one of Windows Xp or Vista, they let me formating HDD, make partitions, but after they installing the setup on HDD to run the installer, my VGA card it's not working anymore (red led on), so I can't install OS!
Can you guys can help me with that?

Ok, I update the BIOS of motherboard and still the same. I put the "old" video card (8800 GTS 512) and everything is ok, booting, OS installer, I try to cheat the 280 GTX to start in preinstalled Windows, but nothing, the same: when it goes in Windows loading it shut off. I don't think now my MB it's the problem, so I returned the graphic card to sellers and now wait for the verdict. All the components are up to date, and the PSU it must be ok (see de review here http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/505/8).
