Can i install ilife 08 include with my new macbok pro?

it is possible to install in leopard ilife 08 include in the tiger os disc of a brand new mac. Thank you.

You can also download Pacifist (shareware which works well with Leopard), and select the specific packages you want from iLife '08. This way you do not have to install trial versions of Microsoft Office and Aperture if you don't want to bother uninstalling them. Once you install be sure to click the software update. iMovie '08 would not work with Leopard until I updated. Once the update was installed, it works fine.

    1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPad but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPad with it.
above works for purchases from the iTunes store. for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.
also, there are PhoneView and iRip.

  • How can I sync my iPhone 4 with a new MacBook Pro without losing all my data and settings?

I used to sync my iPhone 4 with a PC running Windows XP until the hard drive died. Thankfully, I already had a backup of all my iTunes media (Songs, TV Shows, Movies, Podcasts, Apps, etc), so when I bought a new MacBook Pro, transferring my iTunes library was easy.
My problem now is that I want to sync my iPhone 4 with my new MacBook Pro without losing all the data and settings. I have already used iTunes to back it up and transfered my purchases onto the mac. I just need help to sync the iPhone with the Mac without losing app data, emails, contacts, settings.
Everytime I click on the tabs (to sync contacts, apps, music, et al), I get an error message that reads:
"Are you sure you want to sync apps? All existing apps and their data on the iPhone “Ryan's iPhone” will be replaced with apps from this iTunes library."
What do I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • ILife '11 comes with all new MacBook Pros right?

I have a fairly new MacBook pro that came with Snow Leopard and had iLife '11 installed on it to begin with.
I don't know what discs came with the computer because my company's Desktop Support group gave me the laptop when it was ready and kept any discs.
We recently upgraded it to Lion, I had them do a fresh install, wiped the old image and installed Lion from whatever media they have.
Well once given back to me I'm finding that iLife '11 is not on here now...shouldn't it be? Is it something that was on a disc I never saw and I can just install it again? Is iLife '11 supposed to be part of the Lion image they installed?
What would have happened have happened had my HDD crashed before when I had Snow Leopard? Is there one or two discs to reinstall OS and iLife?
Trying to figure out what to do and how to get iLife back on my machine now.
    Thanks.

Ask your IT people to reinstall iLife from the discs that came with your computer when it was purchased, or from whatever backups the company maintains.
iLife is not part of the Mac OS, so under your circumstances it needs to be reinstalled separately.

  • How can I install my CS2 upgrade to my new macbook pro?

Help! I have a new Macbook pro and an old upgrade of CS2 photoshop (upgraded from Photoshop 6). I bought these two for a PC and was told in the Mac shop that I could run them on my fancy new machine..........apparently not, it won't install classic photoshop 6 as presumably it's too old. I also have CS2 Indesign but can't find the install button to press for that either......Am I screwed? I can't afford new programmes.

CS2 is the oldest version that can be upgraded to CS5. You may want to do that now before you lose the opportunity when CS6 comes out. You can upgrade and crossgrade to CS5 for Mac.
    Another thought...
I run CS2 for Windows on Linux through Wine. It works fine. You could probably install Wine on Mac and do the same.
The salespeople might have been referring to running your Windows software on Mac with a virtual machine... with the help of such apps as VMWare Fusion or Parallels. These let you run Windows on top of Mac OS X without rebooting into a Windows partition. See the marketing line: "It Runs Windows Too".

After researching this topic, I found the placing an old SIM card in a new iPad would be impossible. There is no way for consumers to remove the back cover... Without dropping it off a building. My best suggestion: Use the current plan up first. Then buy a new plan.

  • Can I use Office:Mac 2004 with my new MacBook Pro

I just got a brand new MacBook Pro, and I'm trying to install my office:mac 2004 edition, but it seems to not be working. Do I have to repurchace office:mac or can I just upgrade.

The 2004 version of Office will not work on Mac OS X Lion (10.7) or Mountain Lion (10.8) because it uses Power PC code. Power PC support was dropped in Lion and later. Version 2008 or 2011 should work fine.

It appears to me that you would need a boot device with 10.5.6 already installed, and to NOT be running any Westmere features (such as 6-core processors) to have any hope. Also, drivers for 5770 and 5870 first appeared in 10.6.5, so getting your displays to work may be tough.
Custom 10.6.4 or "Full Retail" 10.6.5 is much more likley to succeed.

  • How can i install Ilife?????

    Hello everyone,
I got my Os Leopard and did intall it on my machine. When i did it, i choose to erase and install. Now i have a perfect Leopard running.
I really want to work with Ilife, i thought that Ilefe 8 was included, but is not. ( Deception ) So I have my Mac OS intall disc Version 10.4.7 what came with my computer. How can I install Ilife? I can't find it on the discs.
    Thanks you all

    fjunho,
You need the original "Software Restore" disk #1 that came with your iMac (these disks are light grey, and there should be two of them; #1 and #2). While running normally in Leopard, insert the disk. Look on this disk for the "Install Bundled Software" package, and double-click it. This will open that package in the OS X installer application.
The first thing that the installer does is check your computer against what will be installed. The "Software Restore" disks that come with all Macs are hardware-specific, and can only be used on the model with which it came. Provided you have the right disk set, you should proceed directly to the installation process. Click the "Customize" button, when it appears, to select only those components you wish to install.
If you are certain that you are, in fact, using the original "Software Restore" disks that came with your Mac, yet the installer refuses to recognize them as such, you need to contact Apple. Didi you purchase this computer directly from Apple, an authorized reseller, or through some other channel? Was this iMac purchased brand-new by you, or is it a second-hand machine?
    Scott
EDIT: Another possibility is that you do not have enough space remaining on your startup disk. iLife requires several GBs of space; if you do not have enough, that might explain the message you are receiving. -s

  • Can I install Ilife 8 onto my macbook from my new iMac install discs?

    I am confused!
I was in an Apple retails store yesterday checking out the new iMacs as I will shortly be buying one, a 24" 2.8Ghz model. As this will come loaded with Leopard and iLife 08 I was also planning on buying the DVD's of both ready to install on my Macbook so that both computers would be running the same versions of the OS and iLife. However, the salesperson I was discussing this with told me that I would be able to install iLife 08 onto my Macbook from the install disc that comes with my new iMac as the software is licenced to the user not the machine, thereby saving me from having to buy it.
Is this true? And what about Leopard?I always thought that the software discs only worked on one machine, i.e. the one it came with.

Here's a link to the Apple user agreement for iLife 08.
    http://images.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/ilife08.pdf
Item 2 states that you may install iLife on ONE Apple Branded Computer. The family pack allows you to install on up to 5 in the same household.
The discs that come with your new iMac are specific to the iMac and should not be installed onto any other Mac. The retail version of Leopard can be installed on any Mac...but once again one license one machine.

  • ILife ´05 included with Tiger?

    Hi all,
is iLife ´05 included with Tiger?

I bought a 2Gig iMac G5 (what a great machine, I love it!) right after Tiger was released and within two weeks, my 250G HD failed. After speaking to Apple Tech support, I returned it to the Santa Monica Apple Store for repair and they replaced the drive within a week and reinstalled Tiger. After I got it home, I realized that iLife '05 was not installed and I couldn't find an applications disk included in my system or on the Tiger disk even though on the side of the box it says iLife '05 is included.
Back to the Apple store I went and spoke to the Apple guys and they couldn't find the iLife '05 installation files either. So, they did an install of ilife right there from a disk and GAVE me (charged me $0.00)for a copy of iLife '05 so if I ever had a problem, I could reinstall it. They have given me great support so thanks Apple.
The real question is, since the iMac is being sold with iLife '05 included and an install disk isn't included, where do you get it?
Also, out of curiousity, is Appleworks included in the Tiger install disk? I seen to remember that Appleworks was installed when I first got my machine but now it's not there. Since I also purchased Microsoft's Office, it's not an issue.
    Thanks,
    Gerry

  • Can I install Windows XP SP1 with Bootcamp on my new Mac Mini 2011 i7 ?

Can I install Windows XP SP1 with Bootcamp on my new Mac Mini 2011 i7 ?

Baiscally if your Mini came with Lion Pre-installed new then No you can't use XP.
The Lion installed computers no longer support XP OR Vista via Apple's Boot Camp.
For one thing Apple only supported XP with SP2 in order to install it on pre Lion computers.
If the Mini had come pre-installed new with say 10.6 then you could have installed XP and still of been able to upgrade to Lion without any issues as you already have the drivers for XP installed. Lion only has the drivers for W7.
