Can i install logic pro 9 on two separate computers

can i install on two seperate computers? want to let cousin use logic

Legally no.....
Your cousin needs to buy his/her own copy.. and as LP9 is no longer sold... they will need to buy/use Logic Pro X instead.

Buy an external USB2 DVD/CD drive..... (Amazon's Basic model works great)
    Or..
Borrow someone else's Mac that has a DVD drive fitted and use that via Remote Disk
    Note:
There is no legal means of downloading available for Logic Pro 9.. unless you originally purchased it via the App Store..
Therefore, in your case, you must install from the DVDs you have...

How can I install logic pro 7.2 (made for power pc) on a brand new Macbook pro with OSX 10.7.4?
This message appears: You can't open the aplication LogicPro.mpkg because power pc aplications are no longer compatible.
    Thanks folks

You should be able to copy all the files from your old computer, although it might not work if the old machine didn't have an intel processor. When I got a new Mac a few months ago, I used the migration assistant to copy everything from my old computer's time machine backup disk. All my old pro apps, such as Final Cut Pro 6, work fine on the new machine under Lion.
Later, I wanted to install Soundtrack pro and couldn't do it from the original disks. So I installed it on my old machine and copied the files. It worked perfectly.

  • Someone please help!! Can't install logic pro 9 on my new macbook pro 2012

    Hi guys,
ive been scrolling the internet for days and actually can't find the solution to my next problem:
I bought the new macbook pro 15" running mac osx 10.7.4.
now i want to install logic 9 on this computer. Before this i've already been using logic on two computers, my Mac Pro and my older macbook pro (2008).
I installed logic pro 9 as in upgrade to Logic pro 8.
Ive tried installing logic pro 8 on the new laptop but it wont let me, says the new macbookpro doesnt support this program anymore.
Now ive tried installing logic 9 on the new macbook pro and it wont allow me. It wont accept my product liscence, I've tried it a hundred times, but it just wont let me.
Im not planning on using the older laptop anymore, should i uninstall logic from it? If so... how come i can't find the location of the liscence?
really hope hearing from u guys soon....
    AJ

Sounds like the same issue as this to me: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18640824#18640824
The license says you can only install on one laptop and one desktop machine. Try uninstalling it from the old laptop and see if that fixes it.

  • How many times can I install Logic Pro?

I need to re-install Logic Pro 8 on my computer but I hear there is a limit to how many times you can do so. Anybody know what the limit is?

No limit on reinstalling to the same machine, it will work fine.

  • How can I install Logic Pro 8 on my OSX Lion?

Having had to do a clean install of OSX Lion I find I can't install Logic 8 on my system. I can't understand why an expensive in-house product that is only 4 years old can't be installed on the latest OS. Can't find any advice from Apple, and am still waiting for a call back fron the support line.
How can I get around this - I have already spent a day re-installing all my other software on Lion, so reverting to Snow Leopard is not an option.

What do you mean, it's not installing?
Give more details please... We cannot mind read or see your screen here

  • Can I install Logic Pro 9 Studio on my new iMac?

I need help with installing Logic Pro 9 Studio on my new iMac?

    Yes.
Assuming you have a DVD drive... to install from the DVDs themselves...
Just run Software Updates after you have installed it... so it updates LP9 (and Mainstage etc) to the latest versions which are compatible with Mountain Lion.

  • Can I install logic pro 9 on two computers under two users?

I bought logic pro 9 on the app store. I have a new macbook and plan to reformat the old one, give it to my son, and re-install LP9 on my new one. Can I install it on my old macbook too? Also is there anyway to install it legally on the old macbook under my son's user profile. (I know that I would need to log in the app store with my login details). Or will I need to have to user profiles on the old macbook - me and my son, and then has to login using my user profile in order to use LP? Thanks.

According to the terms and conditions for Apps purchased via the Mac App Store.... For personal use, you may install any App you purchase on any Mac you own or control...  Just use the Purchase tab in the Mac App Store to install any App you bought...  after signing in using the same Apple ID you used to purchase the App originally.

  • How many computers can I install Logic pro 9 on

Before I dive in and purchase Logic Pro from the app store I want to be sure I can install it on both my imac and my macbook at the same time.
This is because I tend to record on the macbook but like using the imac for the mixing etc.

    clock...
    You are unfortunately, incorrect.....
The Mac App Store terms and conditions allow you to install an App bought via the App Store on as many Macs as you own or control, for private use, using your Apple ID and the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store Application.
Commerical use has somewhat different terms....
    http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/appstore/jm/terms.html
MAC APP STORE PRODUCT USAGE RULES
If you are an individual acting in your personal capacity, you may download and use an application from the Mac App Store (“Mac App Store Product”) for personal, non-commercial use on any Apple-branded products running Mac OS X (“Mac Computer”) that you own or control.
(ii) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download a Mac App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on each of the Mac Computer(s) used by that individual that you own or control, or (b) multiple individuals on a single shared Mac Computer that you own or control. For example, a single employee may use a Mac App Store Product on both the employee’s desktop Mac Computer and laptop Mac Computer, or multiple students may serially use the Mac App Store Product on a single Mac Computer located at a resource center or library. For the sake of clarity, each Mac Computer used serially by multiple users requires a separate license.
I have certain apps downloaded and installed on 7 different Macs here... without issue.
You are probably thinking about authorizing up to 5 Macs per Apple ID for eligible content (Music/Movies etc) in iTunes.... which is a different matter entirely... and even that changed recent to 10 devices with no more than 5 devices being authorized via iTunes... presumably to take into account the number of Mac owners who also own multple iOS devices as well as multiple Macs these days...
You may auto-download Eligible Content or download previously-purchased Eligible Content from an Account on up to 10 Associated Devices, provided no more than 5 are iTunes-authorized computers.
    Cheers..
    Nigel

  • How many devices can you install logic pro 9 on?

When I'm buying Logic Pro 9 ($200), on how many devices can I install it on. Like games bought in the app store can be downloaded on several devices, but what about Logic. I'm going to install it on two macs when I buy it and soon an iMac. Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You can install Logic on all the Macs you have for free without any problem. Just open App Store > Purchases and download Logic

  • Can't install Logic Pro X on second computer

I purchased Logic Pro X and installed it from the App Store onto my Mac Book Pro Retina and my Mac Pro 4,1.  No issues.  I received the update notice for 10.0.1 on my Mac Book this morning, so I popped over to my desktop Mac Pro to do the update as well and the App Store is telling me I didn't buy Logic Pro X fromthe App Store and wants to charge me again.
I've double checked that I've logged in with the proper store credentials on both machines, but the update cannot be performed on the Mac Pro.
    Ideas?

    George,
On your iMac.. go to the Mac App Store App, mnaking sure you are signed in using the same Apple ID you used to purchase LPX on your MBP  and select the Purchased tab.
Now look for Logic Pro X in the list that appears
Now look to the left hand side of where it says Logic Pro X.
It should now say Install... so you click on that button and LPX will download and Install.
if it says Installed.. instead of Install... then..
Somehow either you have copied across either LPX from your MBP to your iMac.. manually.. or you have copied the receipts over at some point. Did you try to simply copy LPX across to save downloading it again?
    or..
Did you previously install an "illegal' copy on your iMac to test?
    or...
Did you use Migration or even TM at any point to transfer Data from your MBP to your iMac after you bought LPX?
if you did any of the above you need to uninstall and clean out whatever you did as it is interfering with how the Mac App Store App idenifies that you have or have no got LPX already installed.
    Or..
if you are sure you didn't doing anything like that... something has got messed up and you will probably need to contact Apple directly and have them help you reset your Account..
