Can I install Photoshop CC on a Mac running 10.5.8

I can't get a straight answer out of the salesperson so I'm coming to the community. Has anyone installed CC (Photoshop or InDesign) on a Mac running Snow Leopard and if so, does it work and what (if any) issues have you had? Thanks in advance!

Can't install Photoshop Elements 10 for Mac: Exit Code 7

I recently purchased and downloaded Photoshop Elements 10 for Mac (my OS is 10.6.8); when I try to install, I receive the error pasted below. I have tried the fixes posted on the following pages and none have worked. Any ideas?

I have just installed Photoshop Elements for a MAC. MY photos were in iPhoto, I have 47,000 pictures and my drive on my Mac laptop is not large enough. I store my photos in iPhoto on an external drive. Can I store all my photos on an external drive when using Photoshop Elements? If so, in what format should they be stored in? I do I move them from iPhoto to the new storage location? How do I call them up in organizer? And how do I call them up to Edit? I do not want to store any pictures on my Apple Mac laptop. I want to store pictures on several external devices.

Yes you can store images on an external hard dive and have them referenced in Organizer. It’s best to export copies to separate folders/subfolders and that will ensure iPhoto does not get corrupted.
Alternatively you could continue to use iPhoto with the Elements Editor set up in the iPhoto prefs as your external editing app. Then there is no need to use Organizer and no need to duplicate your images.
You can then call up photos directly from iPhoto as normal with the additional option e.g.
Double-click on a thumbnail to edit in iPhoto editor.
Control (right) - click on a thumbnail to edit in the elements app.

Can't install photoshop elements 11 on my Mac. I installed, moved a file (whoops). It stopped working. So I uninstalled it, then tried to reinstall but it wouldn't do it. Is it now locked or something? Can't find any way to contact Adobe for help (!!!!) so would be so so grateful for some advice.

Check the tsystem requirements for whatever version of Photoshop you are asking about. The latest Creative Cloud version is not spec'd for 10.6.8.

Can't install photoshop CS3

I need to use an older version of Photoshop. Adobe said it was my mac.
I'm on 10.6.8 and can't install photoshop CS3. I've uninstalled and when I try to install, I get: please insert CS4. Doesn't sound right to me.
I called Adobe and they wanted $69 to fix the problem. They looked at my crash reports and said it was my mac. I was afraid to let them touch my mac so I didn't go for it. He said I will have problems with other Adobe installations if I don't hire them to fix my mac.
Can anyone read crash reports and help me out? I'm not sure which to include, mac or adobe.

The Photoshop individual license allows you to install the program on two computers. If you do so however, the programs cannot be used simultaneously. A quick note: the two computers must be running on the same platform. For example, you can install on two Macs, or two Windows machines, but you can't install on one Mac and one Windows machine.
Here's a quote from the from the Photoshop CS6 terms and aggreements:
2.1.3 Portable or Home Computer Use. Subject to the important restrictions set forth in Section 2.1.4 [having to do with volume licensees], the primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed … may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer or a Computer located at his or her home, provided that the Software on the portable or home Computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer.

Ik can't install photoshop extended

I have allready photoshop CS5.1 on my Mac lion. I would like to try photoshop extended and tryed to download the trial version. It seems to download, but after the whole process nowhere in my computer is photoshop extended. What to do? Because I dont dare to buy it, if I cant install it. Who could please help me? Due to the serialization you already have Photoshop CS5.1 installed. I would recommend you run the installer program located in \Applications\Utilities\Adobe Installers\ to remove the software and then you can reinstall from your media. When reinstalling if you select the option to try the software, and not enter your serial number, it will install the trial of Photoshop CS5 Extended.

No, if you mean can you copy the installed version over. That never works because PSE is a highly complex program that strews stuff all over your hard drive and you can never hope to find all the bits and bobs. You should deactivate it on the computer you no longer need, then install from scratch on the new machine.
