Can I install TES 5.3.1 saClient on 64-bit Windows 7.

I'm getting an error:
"The program can't start because Vcl50.bpl is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I tried to do a reinstall, but no luck.
Any ideas?

Yes you can. I'm running a local client 5.3.1.317 in my Windows 7 VM machine with no issues. The Vcl50.bpl file should reside in C:\Program Files (x86)\TIDAL\Scheduler\Client folder path. This have few quirks, such as you will lose the maximize/restore down in your windows screen unless you run the Client in "Windows XP compatibilty mode", but that is your choice. This is a known issue and it is listed in the Tidal/Cisco Website. You still can expand your Tidal windows, but it a little hard to find the thin corners.. Hope this help!

Can we install Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 on windows 7? I tried to run copy of JDeveloper on windows 7, few features were not able to view or run. For example, few items in menus were not appearing. On clciking on view, the tree sturcture on left side was not expading.
Is there any other way so that i can run my JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0? Plz help me

You can try installing the newer version of JDK1.5, you can get it from
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/5.0_22/index.html
then, once you have installed it, rename ${JDEVELOPER_HOME}\jdk to ${JDEVELOPER_HOME}\jdk_old, and put your newly installed jdk in ${JDEVELOPER_HOME}\jdk
I resolved some problems doing that with my windows 7 and JDeveloper. Problems are caused by Aero.

nope. Mac OS X only installs on Apple macs. (at least thats the legal aggreement between you and apple when you purchaced OS X Lion)

We have issue in installing idm 8.1.1 gateway on 64 bit windows 2008 R2
C:\Program Files (x86)\IDM\gateway>gateway -i
An error occured while trying to install the service: Input/output error
Sun notes: if you're running 64-bit Windows 2008, you need the JDKTM Version 6 Update 12 and later.
But this java version should be there in Gateway server(windows 2008) or idm installed server?
We don't have java installed on gateway server. is this causing issue?

I may have found a workaround. Can you try to change the "compatibility mode" in 2008 R2 to "Windows XP SP3" and see if it will install?
Admittedly I have not done this myself so I'm not entirely sure where or how it's done, but I have confirmation it resolves the issue from others who have faced it.

Tip for installing App Dev CD into WLS on 64-bit windows

Hi All,
After pulling out some hair, I thought I'd share this tip.
Scenario:
You are installing WebLogic 10.3.x on a 64-bit Windows platform, but are using a 32-bit JDK. You want to install the Application Development CD so that you can extend your WLS domains with the JRF, EM, etc.
Symptoms:
You run setup.exe, the installer prompts you for a location of a JRE/JDK and you give it the 32-bit JDK location. The installer then quits without so much as a peep.
Solution:
Instead of running setup.exe, navigate to install\win32 and run that setup.exe instead. The same thing works for installing the SOA suite.
Hope this saves someone else some time too.

I then restarted WLS, but the C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv.sh still says:
JAVA_HOME="C:/Oracle/Middleware/jrockit_160_24_D1.1.2-4"
SO I think I am still hosed.

I've been trying to update iTunes for the last few updates. I've tried both via the apple website, and via the updater on iTunes. It downloads fine, then during the install I get this message:
I have never been able to find the 'installation package' in the Program Files (or PFiles or Program Files (x86)). I can't install an older version either. I don't want to lose iTunes completely! Anyone had the same problem?

Check for malware before installing it.

When I try to install the 64 bits installation program it it comes up with a popup that there are 32 bits programs found on my laptop. (Office 15 click-to-run extensibility component)
When I try to install the 32 bits program of sharepoint designer it gives the same popup only that it found a 64 bits office program (Office 15 click-to-run extensibility component).
What can I do to resolve this strange problem?

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you installed SharePoint 2013 Designer 64-bit.
Please uninstall the Office 15 Click-to-Run Extensibility component, then install SharePoint 2013 Designer 64-bit, compare the result.
