Can i install two os in my pc?

i want to install solaris, but i don't want to lose windows,so i can install the two OS in the same computer???

Hi,
You can very well have two o/s in your PC ,I am sure that solaris will not disturb the windows operating system and it can be done by dualboot config option.
Hope this helps.

How can i install two copies of Bejewelled HD onto my iPad

There is no way to accomplish this on an iPad, which is not designed as a multi-user device. As Tom said below, you'll have to contact PopCap and urge them to come up with a multi-player version of the game. I'd suggest you not hold your breath waiting, though, knowing PopCap and how slow they are to update their games.
Or, of course, you can just get your wife her own iPad.

  • Can I install two different iPhoto applications on the same Mac?

Can I install two different iPhoto applications on the same Mac?

Please explain in more detail what you are wanting to do.
Do you want to have two different versions of iPhoto, have two different Libraries or Share iPhoto with multiple users?
Two different iPhoto versions (06 and 08, 08 and 09 for examples) is a problem and I say no because the older version can not use a Library that the newer version has modified.
For iPhoto support articles, see >  Apple - Support - Mac Apps - iPhoto

  • Can I install two independent instances of Thunderbird on the same machine?

It is required to install two instances of Thunderbird on the same machine, each with its own account(s), Profiles folder(s) and sign-on password, so that each of two users can securely use Thunderbird at different times..
    How can this be achieved?
    Thanks,
    NMB1

The simplest method is to install Thunderdird normally from an admin account. The two or more users then use ordinary none admin accounts. Thunderbird will be available to each user and each OS account has a separate Thunderbird profile, so each user has effectively totally separate Thunderird accounts and passwords.

  • Can I install two regular (non SSD) drives on an iMac?

I noticed that you can configure an iMac to come with one regular hard drive and one SSD drive. I was wondering if you could install two regular drives instead? I would like to use one hard drive as a back up drive but in order for that to work they both would need to be about the same capacity.

There simply isn't enough room for two regular sized (3.5 inches) harddisks.
The SSD has a size of 2.5 inches and for that there seems to be enough room for that size.

  • Can I install two different versions of Reader?

I have Reader X (10.1.1) installed on my Win XP machine but need to use Reader 9.3.4 (or earlier version) to read a CD that has pdf links from an html file. For some reason the pdf's on this CD will only open in the older version (as noted by the CD's author). Is it possible to install version 9.3.4 and have IE8 use this as it's Reader plugin without affecting the use of the existing Reader X? Is it possible to do this somehow?
    Thanks in advance.

You can't have two versions of Reader on the same computer. However, there's no reason why the files should not open in Reader X (unless the creator spent a lot of effort to prevent that, which doesn't make sense at all).

  • Can i install two clients in my pc?

Hi, i want install two clients in my pc, each for a different server, can i? how?
    Thanks,

    Hi Victor,
not with the installer as such by default!
Mke a copy of your MI instllation. I have a folder in C:/ called MI_RUNTIMES. In there I have a folder per server, sometimes per user. So I have folder C:/MI_RUNTIMES/MI_D02, C:/MI_RUNTIMES/MI_Q02 - each with a separate running MI instance.
    How:
Copy the actual installation into the specific folder. Then I can uninstall the original MI installaiton. In the copied folder you need to adapt the settings to the new location. This is:
STARTUP.BAT - change the folders in there
    LISTOFJARS -> change the folders
That is it. Press the startup.bat and it will work.
Install a second MI and now you can decide wich one you want to work with. Start one of them and open a browser. The address is: http://localhost:4444 Be aware: both use port 4444, so you can not run them at the same time.
To be honest: to make it more easy and to save time, I have a copy of a clean installation with no settings, never started and not synced. So it is a copy of a clean installation and this version I use for creating new instances on my PC.
Hope this helps and I have not lost you.
    Regards,
    Oliver

  • Can I install two different RAM sizes in my Early 2011 Macbook Pro 2.0 GHz

I just bought me a 8 GB 1333 Mhz RAM for my Macbook Pro. I installed it in slot 2 and I installed the stock 2 GB RAM in slot 1. Is my decision good to have two different sizes RAM in my computer. It is showing me I have 10 GB RAM in my system, and I think my computer has become little faster, but t I had expected that it would be much more faster since I have 10 GB instead of 4 GB.

    Boysovereign,
the speed of your MacBook Pro will only increase by installing additional RAM if the apps which you run were constrained by their previous amount of RAM. If they weren’t being constrained by the previous amount of RAM, then adding more RAM won’t affect the speed at which they run.
That being stated, you’ll suffer a minor performance hit by using two memory modules of different capacities; to maximize your MacBook Pro’s performance, you should install two memory modules of the same capacity.

  • Can I install two java SDK's

    Greetings
I have SDK1.4.1 installed on my pc, can i install SDK1.4.2 without removing the SDK1.4.1?
and would there be any conflicts?

Done correctly, yes. There will be conflict. Only one (the last) will be the default for java/javac/etc commands,. You can choose which one will be the default for the Java Plug-in from the Plug-in.

  • Can I install two versions of SOA suite using same Oracle database

    Condition:
I installed Weblogic server(10.3.5) and SOA Suite(11.1.1.5), and
I used RCU 11.1.1.5 to create the schemas(Oracle DB 11g-111170) for it.
    Plan:
Now I plan to install another Weblogic server(10.3.6) and SOA Suite (11.1.1.6)
and I will used RCU 11.1.1.6 to create the schemas for it.
    Question:
Can I use same database(Oracle DB 11g-111170) for the two versions of SOA Suite? that is
Can I Run the RCU 11.1.1.6 to create the schemas for SOA Suite (11.1.1.6) on the oracle database server I already used for SOA Suite 11.1.1.5?
If I can use same database for the two versions of SOA Suite, how can I resolve schame name conflict?

    Hi
    1. YES. You can absolutely use SAME DB to have multiple Versions of SOA Schemas.
    2. Any SOA/BPM will need basically 4/5 schemas like SOAINFRA, MDS, ORABAM, ORASDPM etc. based on what you choose. And each of these Schemas can be Prefixed. Default prefix is like DEV, so schemas are like DEV_SOAINFRA, DEV_MDS etc
    3. Very Simple. When you Run RCU 11.6 and give the same old db details, in next screen it will automatically show the new Prefix for the schemas it will create. If DEV is used, it will show DEV1 like that. So just choose a Different Prefix and you are good to go.
I have the same thing on my side. Single Database. Multiple RCU for SOA 11.5 and SOA 11.6 with different Prefixes:
    SOA 11.5 -> DEV115_SOAINFRA, DEV115_MDS, DEV115_ORABAM etc
    SOA 11.6 -> DEV116_SOAINFRA, DEV116_MDS, DEV116_ORABAM etc
I Used the Prefixes like DEV115, DEV116 so that I know exactly which version of RCU schema they refer to.
For QC, UAT, PROD we used prefixes like QC_*, UAT_*, PROD_* etc.
NOTE: When you drop the schemas for some reason, make sure to give the appropriate prefixes so that only they are dropped and not others.
    Thanks

  • I can't install two versions of indesign together !!!

    Hello Folks.
    How are you?
I installed Indesign CS4 but when I installed Indesign CS6, both versions are expired !!!. What is the problem?
    I use Windows 7 64 bit .
    Cheers.

Did you enter the serial numbers when you installed? Did you deactivate the old installations first?
I think this error message is telling you that the program is not activated, possibly because there are already two other active activations. Try Help > Activate... and either it will be successful, or you will get some dialog telling you why it isn't. If it isn't there should be a phone number included that you can call. If it is successful and you continue to get this error, then we'll need to dig deeper.

  • I wanted to get more RAM, but I want to be able to upgrade it later, can I install two different RAM cards?

I currently have 4GB in my Macbook Pro. I'm realizing that this isn't sufficient.  I like to edit photos and have Photoshop, Lightroom, and a web browser open at the same time.  I'm pretty sure that maybe 10GB of RAM will do (I'd buy one 8GB card and keep one of the 2GB cards already installed), so in case I would need to upgrade again I could buy another 8GB card. Is it possible to have two different sizes of RAM in the two bays?
    15-inch Macbook Pro (Early 2011) 2GHz Intel Core i7 4GB 133MHz DDR3

Yes, you can have two different RAM sizes in the slots. Apple doesn't recommend that, but it works. If anything make sure the RAM is the same brand. You'll need the standard 1333MHz DDR3 memory. See HERE for info on installing the memory yourself.
