Can I install Vision demo data only - no apps?

1. Can I install the Vision database (ie: tables with data, etc.) and not install Oracle Apps. Reason is I just want the table structure of a 'fake' apps environment for discoverer, reports 9i, etc.
2. Where do I get the Vision database from?

Yes you can, Installation is via OUI. Download CD's from edelivery.oracle.com and then while Installing it will first install database & then applications as soon as database Installation is over do n't enter application cd's & stop installation use installed database with DB listener.
Better ask some one for database dump of Installed Apps (Cold back up of database) . I suppose that will be better instead of Installation.

Simply said;
The front end is the applications with is composed of HTML applications (also known as self service applications) and Java based applications (example forms).
Backend end is comprised of database. The database contains tables. The division is based on schemas (example AP, GL, etc). You can access database with help of SQLPLUS.
If you looking for something particular then try to rephrase your question or give more details.

We successfully installed 12.1 dev on Linux. Planning to install Vision Demo. Looking some instructions from experts
1)     Current 12.1 dev installed with applmgr user.
2)     Planning to install Vision with Oracle user.
3)     Created corresponding folders etc.
4)     Is it required to stop all the services with applmgr user?
5)     Any suggestions from experts.

2)     Planning to install Vision with Oracle user.You can make installation as root user.Can create oravis user for db tier
3)     Created corresponding folders etc.You can create folder as /u01/DEMO and give 777 to DEMO for installation
4)     Is it required to stop all the services with applmgr user?If you are going to make installation on same linux server yes its better way to stop dev instance for make new installation more fast, other way you can have some performance problem

note 262701.1 on metalink talks about this, but you need to load the "Knowledge Base" used by Oracle Text before you can run that demo. in 10g that's on the companion CD. i'm not sure how that would work with your characterset, but that demo does require that the english knowledge base be installed.

1) I have tried to create all the space required and as per below details, you can see the LV has enough space. But df -h does not reflect. I have tried to expand partition details given below. This installation is on VMWare of Linux. Host OS is Windows 7.

.dmg.part is not a complete file.. It usually indicates that the entire file has not been downloaded yet. Are you sure you downloaded the entire file? (i recommend updating itunes through  > Software Update

ChettarjeeOracle EBS R12 is not certified with Windows 7 so you will either need to use a different Windows OS (certified one which has to be 32-bit) as per (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for Microsoft Windows Server (32-bit) [ID 761567.1]), or install a VM with different OS (like Linux 32-bit or 64-bit) on top of Windows 7 and install EBS then.

For the RAM, 4 GB is not sufficient and you need at least 4 GB for EBS only, so you need to add more RAM (2-4 GB).
For hard disk, please see the installation doc (referenced above) for how much space you need to install a fresh database and demo database. Please pay attention to the stage area directory too.

How Can I Install Snow Leopard with Only 4GB HD?

My MacBook needs an upgrade so that I can install the new Adobe Creative Suites, which require Snow Leopard 10.63 or higher. The problem is that the machine only has a 4GB HD and Snow Leopard requires at least 5GB free space to install. Is there anything that I can I do?

Additionally, you should maintain an absolute minimum of 10 - 15 GB of empty hard drive space at all times for the OS to function properly. In this case, that appears to translate to you having to delete or move (to an external drive) about 20 GB of files. You can move your iPhoto and iMovie libraries to an external drive permanently which would most likely create enough space.

The documentation for Data services tell only about the compatibility of BW and not about BOE. If anybody has installed Data Services XI 3.2 with BOE 3.1 or knows about version compatibility, please shed some light.

I have tried install BOE 3.1 SP2 and DS 3.2 SP2 together on 1 machine Windows 2003 64 bit before.
They works fine together.
Just make sure you deploy Tomcat correctly for DS Management Console.

Hello, Can someone help me with Adobe Flash Player installation ?
I have tried too many things to install it but keep getting this message " only a single instance of this application can run.
I can't see any Adobe applications, I've tried deleting all files adobe and still nothing.
I have opened the task manager and try to end the processes related to Adobe manually by selecting 'End Process' and then try to install it, but nothing happened.
I've tried 'clean boot' but neither worked.I downloaded the 'Adobe unistaller' from the official page and the 'latest version of flash player' but it doesn't work!.
I've also went on the Adobe website and it said this error message was due to the flash application but I deleted all of those files to and still nothing.
I've got firefox and windows 7.
