i just got a itunes gift card for the first time and on it, it just says you can buy music and movies. Can i also buy apps with it???

What sort of visa card, debit or credit ? As far as I know debit cards are no longer accepted as a valid payment method.
And what happens when you try to buy something, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

How was I able to buy an app with no money in debit card account?
I was able to purchase a $1.99 app with $0.39 in my pre-paid debit card account that is linked to my Apple id. When they process the billing will they just delete the app from my phone or will I get some crazy fee on my phone bill for it?

I bought this itunes gift card and I already redeem it, but when I want to buy a song it won't let me and it keeps saying invalid address when I put down the right one. Why does it not let me buy any songs when I still have money left in my account?
Do you currently have a credit card set up in your iTunes store Enter Payment Information screen?
If so, grab a recent statement for that card and check to make sure that the address that shows up in your Enter Payment Information screenexactly matches the address showing on your credit card statement. For example, if your address in the credit card statement says "Street", the iTunes screen has to also say "Street" (Not St or Str.) Also match the capitalisation of the address on your statement. (If it says STREET in the statement make it say STREET in the iTunes screen, not Street or street.)
Also make sure that your name in the iTunes screen exactly matches the one in your statement. (Say, if you've got a middle initial in the credit card statement name, you need one in the iTunes screen.)
After doing that, does that get you past the invalid address thing?

My question is how to find out whether the cards are good and have $ 100 value each? If I use my I phone then the amount will go to my account and I seldom use I tunes cards. The cards we bought is for our son and daughter. Secondly I bought the cards from Best Buys and both the cards were in my possession with gift wrap. How on earth the cards were redeemed? You can't, to be able to redeem that card and then buy from the Canadian store you will need to be in Canada with a valid Canadian billing address on your iTunes account. Do you know anybody in Canada that you could sell or give the card to ?

Yes, and you can in Canada now. What you can't do with it is gift content; that money is for you and only you.

If the app you are looking at does not say it is for the iPhone, don't buy it. You'll own an app you can't use (unless you buy an iPad to go with it). -
Do I need the original disk that came with a mac or can I just buy the OS software??
Hi I recently bought a used macbook and the seller did not have the original disks that came with the computer. What I was wondering is if I needed to install a new hard drive in the event that mine fails, can I just buy a copy of the OS and install it on the new hard drive or do I need the specific disks that came with the machine??

You say that you have Mac OS X 10.7.5, so if it came preinstalled, see that you can't reinstall it because it's registered to the old owner. Call Apple to get replacement DVDs

I have 3 Apple devices - iMac, iPhone, and iPad. I am planning to move to iCloud from MobileMe. In iTunes, I just choose to sync whatever files I want my iPhone and iPad to have since they don't have sufficient disk space as my iMac.
Can I just choose which apps or photos to sync via iCloud since I don't want all of them in my iPhone and iPad? I have all photos & apps in my iMac but only sync manually some of them to my iPad and to my iPhone. Can I still do this with iCloud?
Calendars, emails, contacts, are fine since files are small. What I'm afraid of are the apps and photos.

Thanks.With the exception of photo stream, iCloud doesn't sync your apps or photos between devices. You will continue to sync this content via iTunes in the same way as you do now.
Photo stream allows you to sync your most recent photos between all devices, you have the option to use photostream or not. -
