Can i just uninstall and reinstall on pc

I thought I had moved my Media folder to my external hard drive, including the .itl file, however I think I just moved my music. Since I have all my music on external hard drive, can't I just uninstall and reinstall itunes using my external drive?

It starts with trying iTunes in Safe Mode and then with another user.

I think if you are just uninstalling and reinstalling the same version of itunes, and you don't already have a problem with your library, it should be fine - however, you should copy your existing library file. The actual library file is called 'iTunes Library.itl' in your itunes folder; you should copy it to another folder just in case. Also check in iTunes help for 'saving playlists,' which might be another good thing to copy and put in a different folder just in case.
My recent experience was that I went from 7.4.2.4 to 7.3.2.6 and couldn't use my library file because it had been changed by 7.4 so it wouldn't work with 7.3. So I couldn't open itunes until I deleted the library file, which meant I had to reimport all my music and lost my playlists. It's been a big bummer, but I couldn't access the itunes store at all with the newest version and everything I tried didn't work, and I wanted to download and watch my daily shows!
I don't know if this really answers your question - I think if you are getting an error message you should try to find out why, because it seems like some people are having problems even after they reinstall.

Firefox does not play videos. That is the job of the plugins.

Now all but maybe 3 of my contacts have no profile picture or chat history (even though all of my contacts show up as normal on my iphone). I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I don't know what version you have, but you cannot install a Windows edition on a Mac, you need the Mac edition.
If you have Photoshop CS6, you can swap it for a Mac version, otherwise you would have to purchase a full Mac version ($700) or enroll in the $10 per month Photography program from Adobe to use Photoshop CC.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). I need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes (it won't let me update). I have IE 8 on Windows XP, and iTunes 10 something. In my Program files list I see iTunes and iTunes (2) and even iPod and iPod (2) where a tech had to back up and do this for me before. I'm just trying to fix it all. I keep getting the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below." I can even run a search and find the folder, but it gives me the same error message. I was planning on using the Microsoft Fix-It tool to help uninstall then Reinstall iTunes. But I need to backup my library. So, how do I copy or back up my iTunes library of over 1,500 songs? Can I copy the folder to desktop or can I use a Flash Drive to backup my music? I don't want to do anything until I know for sure how I can backup my songs, and then reinstall them into iTunes. Thanks for any help.

Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to 'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)

When you say you have tried everything, it would help if you told us what you have tried to avoid duplication.
When you installed iTunes did you get any error messages?
Anyway, on the face of it it may be worth trying a separate install of Apple application support.
Uninstall iTunes again. Now open Apple Software update, assuming it is working.
It should offer to download iTunes. Don't do it yet, go to the Tools menu and select Download only.
Then download iTunes. Then go to the tools menu again and select Open download folder and you should see a collection of six files.
Before going on, can you get to this stage OK?
One further thing I would like you to check, are you ahving any problems with Windows updates? Could you check in Windows Update to see if there are any failures.
