Can I link 2 apple ids

My son was on a linked apple id now I have created my own how can he retain his downloads from his old account

When iOS 8 is released, users will have the ability to Family Share content even if using different Apple ID's If you keep the old account, assuming it's in the family somewhere, he may be OK.

  • Can I combine Apple IDs (accounts)?

At different times I have created Apple IDs, i.e. new email address, new device etc... is there anyway to combine these into one ID/Account so that I don't have to continuously log out login to make updates?

I'm sorry, but you can't combine Apple IDs. This isn't allowed. You have to get all the apps with one of these Apple ID to be able to update them without having to switch between Apple IDs

It doesn't.  Gmail is owned by Google.

  • Can we combine or link Apple IDs?

My wife and I both have different Apple IDs (from before we were married) and it is kind of a nuisance given that we share all the music on our two computers. Is there a way to combine or link multiple IDs to one account?

No way except converting a non-dot mac ID into a dot mac ID that hasn't used with iTMS before.

  • How can Icheck which Apple IDs my serial number are registered to?

My iPod Touch model A1367 was recntly stolen. I came to iTunes to see if could ever see who has been recently using my device so that I may track it down. I went to My Support Profile > Register & Add Products and typed in my iPod Touch's serial number, but apparently this message comes out "According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products". I was wonderinng if I could see all the Apple IDs that have been used on my iPod. So can I... somehow?

There is nothing you can do. Apple will not help. Just report it to the po\lice and change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod.

  • How can I combine Apple IDs so all devices are same

Somehow I ended up with 2 apple ID's and my devices wont share from Mac to Iphone, Ipad and mini......
    How can I change them.
Changing Apple ID wont work as rescue email is one of the accounts names I want to change.   And cannot get back into "rescue" email format to delete

    You can't
I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

  • Can I link Apple TV to stereo wirelessly?

Hi. I want to get Apple TV for my parents. Their TV and stereo are on opposite sides of the room and they do not want to run wires across. I'm hoping to find a way to link the Apple TV to the stereo wirelessly.
Apple Express has been suggested, but I bought one some time ago and after a week of trying to install it myself (and finding many, many people in forums who have been equally stymied) called in a local Mac expert who also was unable to breach it's mysteries. It ended up in the trash. I'm not willing to put my folks through that frustration. Does anyone know of another option?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. Routing through the stereo is paramount. They want to be able to wirelessly play the music on their iPad through their stereo which routes to multiple speakers throughout the house.
I guess there's nothing else I can do. Unfortunately, Airport Express seems to be very much hit or miss; not even my Mac guy could install it for me, and he has one at his house. I'll give the option to my folks and make sure they can return both easily if AE doesn't work.
Thanks again. Sorry it took so long to respond.

  • Can I link apple tv and watch sky as a sky subscriber?

    Hi All
I am thinking of purchasing an Apple TV as a colleague seems to think I can link this to the TV in the bedroom and watch Sky.  I am a Sky subscriber but I am of the opinion that this would stop multiroom subscriptions if we could all do this.  Can someone please advise.
    Many thanks

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    Short answer, no.
Sky subscribers though are entitled to the sky app for iPad and iPhone for free, when iOS5 is released you should then be able to mirror the iOS display via your Apple TV and watch on your TV.

  • How can I link Apple TV (Gen1) to Time Capsule (Gen 4)?

    Everyone
I am using a the above mentioned Time Capsule as privat WiFi Network for our devices at home (MacBook Pro, iPhones & iPads). The Time Capsule itself is connected to a DSL Modem by means of an ethernet cable. So far so good.
Newly I have got an Apple TV (Gen1) from a friend of mine and have also connected this device to same DSL Modem again by means of an ethernet cable.
Everything works with ecception of the syncronisation between the Apple TV and iTunes.
Unfortunately, Due to my limited understandig with technical matters I need some support in enabling this function. I guess that the Apple TV should communicate with iTunes within the same network and I suppose that the Apple TV should be linked to the Time Capsule instead of he DSL modem.
Before I do a mess, and have to deal with a reconfiguration some advice would be more then welcome.
Thank you for your time and advice
    Best wishes, Andrea

    Correct

  • Can i connect apple ids to cretae a family pack

Is there a way to connect different apple-id:s to create a family bundle.
Instead of buying 4 full price apps i can buy it on two devices and install them on the other two.
I want also to be able to use find friends (family) etc.

    No.
You can legally share iTunes and AppStore purchases between multiple devices within the same household (family) anyway. No need for a 'family bundle'.
For Find my Friends each 'friend' should have his or her individual iCloud account otherwise you won't be able to individually identify who is where.

  • Can 2 different apple ids specify the same bank account as iOS developers?

    Hi,
There are 2 different iOS developer accounts. Is it possible for them to specify the same bank account credentials to transfer money from Apple?

Thanks. Actually I meant organization bank account. Money transer will be made to retrieve payments for the apps sold in the app store. Does this affect the answer?

  • Can I use two apple ids on my iPhone?

Does anyone know if I can use two apple ids on my iPhone. Basically I have a problem where I can't download an app because its not available in the Australian store but I am considering starting a new apple id linked to my Hong Kong credit card so I can purchase this app
    app
if I do this will I only be able to see the apps downloaded using each particular apple id account on my iPhone at any one time...?

    wjosten wrote:
That only applies if you turn on Automatic Downloads or iTunes match.
To the OP, you can ignore Philo124's post.
No, it Applies if you download content from one then switch to another and download content from the other. Automatically or not.
    Apple Wrote:
Association of Associated Devices is subject to the following terms:
You may auto-download iTunes Auto-Delivery Content or download previously-purchased iTunes Eligible Content from an Account on up to 10 Associated Devices, provided no more than 5 are iTunes-authorized computers.
(ii) An Associated Device can be associated with only one Account at any given time.
(iii) You may switch an Associated Device to a different Account only once every 90 days.
Not sure if its only limited to past purchases or new ones as well though.

  • How many apple ids can I have on one icloud account

I have one apple ID.  My iphone is linked to this apple ID and so is our Ipad.  The ipad gets all of my mail, but also gets all of my text messages.  This is not the greatest situation.  When my husband got his work iphone, he was told to use my apple id so he would have access to all of my music and purchased items.  That really messed things up because he was getting all of my mail and suddenly all of our contacts were shared.  Not good!
We are now trying to set up a new ipod touch for one of the kids.  Don't want the same situation as above.  I want this to have a separate identity but still be on our account so it can share all of my apple purchases.
What is the best way to do this?  I briefly talked to someone at the apple store a few months back and he said that you can have multiple apple ids on one account.  Anyone have any tips on setting these up?  Want to avoid any unnecessary newbie mistakes.

You can't have multiple IDs on one account, but you can use multiple IDs for different purposes on the same device.
Just use the one AppleID for iTunes and the AppStore so you can all share your music and app purchases. Then each person should have their own individual AppleID with associated iCloud account for mail, contacts, calendars, iMessage and FaceTime.
You don't have to use the same AppleID for all services.

  • How to have one iCloud account linked to multiple apple ids

I am sorry if this has been asked before but my head is spinning at reading everything about iCloud and I haven't really found 1 discussion with my particular situation.
    This is what we have:
    iPhone - wife
    iPad - wife
    itouch x 3 - husband and kids
We have 4 family members and 3 different Apple ID's (husband and wife -1 ID, Kids each have their own)  All items are purchased on 1 mac but under different Apple ID's (the kids get their own iTunes cards for spending, that's why we kept seperate accounts). We all have access to each other's songs and app purchases (as we know each other's passwords) and have been freely able to add to each others devices.
So my question is: How do we all utilize ONE iCloud (say using my Apple ID as the main account ID) and then have the other 2 Apple ID's tied to the ONE iCloud account?  That way the kids can still purchase using their own $, same here for me, but then we all share the Songs/Apps as we did before.
I hope I'm making sense......essentially I think I'm trying to ask..... how do we continue to share apps and songs with iCloud while maintaining different Apple ID's...LOL
    Thanks

The bottom line is that you can't.  Apple IDs can't be merged, or shared, in any way at present.  There is a rumor that Apple is working on something, but it's not anything that you should rely on.  Purchases are tied to a single Apple ID and they can't be transferred to another Apple ID either.
I should note that you don't need to share passwords.  By simply creating separate iTunes libraries for each person, and authorizing the computer(s) for each account, you should all be able to use each others purchases and only be able to make purchases from your own account.
