Can i listen music while charging ?

Hi,
can i listen music on ipod while charging my 5gn. 30gb ipod.
and everytime i connect ipod to computer for transfering songs or to use as hd. it starts charging even if not required.
how can i stop this charging ? is it possible ?

Yes. Connect the ipod to your computer, and once it's recognized by iTunes, safely disconnect it (eject the iPod as normal). Leave it connected via the cable and the iPod will receive a charge whilst you use it.
The transfer of songs is a huge drain on the iPods battery, therefor it is essential to have power supplied to it or else the transfer may fail.
So, even if you were able to stop the charge (and you can't), you wouldn't want to.

One note on the USB. If you are using Windows XP like me, you'll (until you choose otherwise, which you may have already done) be constantly asked what you want to do when you plug in the device (WMP0, Napster, etc, or do nothing). I have chosen to always "do nothing." Doing this will allow you to plug in the player, Windows really "does nothing," and the player will show that it's being charged (just as the AC adapter would be doing). reset the device (home and sleep/wake button for 5-10sec)
make sure mute isnt turned on or the ringer/silent switch
-double tap home and swipe the bottom window to the left and make sure the mute button hasnt been toggled (if its set up there, might be screen lock depending on settings)
reset all settings (settings >general >reset)
if all else fails try a backup/restore

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

if you mean that you can't listen to music from the headset and from the phone speaker at the same time then that is by design works the same with all things really such as computer and the likes too
if you mean that the device does not play out of a connected headset only out of the speaker then you have a hardware issue with the headset detector you can read more about it here even though most have the opposite issue but it's the same issue really

In order to play music through the headset, it must support this particular profile, A2DP. You can check the specs on the headset to see if it does support that. Not all headsets that support phone calls will support music.

I can't listen music with my 4S.

The speakers are not working for some apps like itunes or youtube. Although the phone rings and some alert sounds are ok the speakers are not working 100%. I can't listen music even with the apple earpods. There may be something wrong with the software. I appriciate your help.

Safe to listen to music while charging Ipod mini?

Hello all,
I been trying to find information (google and this forum) about this but had no luck.
I was wondering if it's safe to listen to music while you are charging the Ipod?
The equipment that I have is a 2nd Gen Ipod mini. I also use the USB Power adapter (good thing to have).

Thanks for you reply. I have been reading a lot that you can do to save the IPod's battery life and how to take care of it but I could not find anything related to use it while it's been charged.
It also looks like there are accessories, like speakers and car lighter adapters that allows you to use your IPod while is being charged.
In the mean time, I'll use my trusty AC Adapter and use my IPod while is charging.

This accessory is optimized for iphone/no music while charging in car

I have an iPhone 3GS when I charge in my car I get a message this accessory not optimized for IPhone. What does this mean? Secondly, while charging on this charger I get no sound when trying to listen to music. Thanks for your help in advance

I would highly doubt that the battery pack and car charger would both be defective!
I said no such thing!
I said if you are using the same cable with both devices, it is probably the cable.
I also said this can also mean your iPhone's dock connector port has some damage - likely due to mositure damage.

Listening music while plugged on power supply?

Is there any way to listen music with your ipod (nano, 4th generation) when plugged on the power supply? I mean, if my battery dies (not just goes empty, but really dies), will i be able to listen my music if i get plugged? (Since you can't play your music when charging the battery with the usb cable, my guess is that it would be the same with the power supply... and a definitively dead battery.)

If your iPod is showing connected, you must make sure that you have ejected from iTunes and you may need to select "Safely Remove Hardware" from the bottom right hand corner of the Windows Tool bar.
The iPod will show safe to disconnect and then the menu will display. You can turn the iPod off to allow it to charge or you can listen to the iPod at this point.

I authorized 2 laptops to my iPhone 5 but one can only sync music while the other can only sync apps!

I have an iPhone 5 and I have authorized 2 laptops to sync with it.
The problem is I can only sync apps I have downloaded from one laptop while music from the other laptop. I can't sync music and apps to my iPhone from the same laptop.
How do I solve this?
Note: The first laptop I synced with is also shared with my wife's iPhone 4.

you can only really sync your phone with one device, well strictly not true but its the better practice.
first point, be careful here.
second, plug your iPhone into the first machine and check the settings related to synchronising with 'that' machine.
then do the same with the second.
you will find that one is setup to sync apps and the other to sync music. I'd recommend that you go to the one that has your music stored on it, get it to download all of your apps and use this machine as your main machine from now on.
Using two seperate machines must be confusing and could lead to you suddenly loosing all of you data if you sync completely with one machine that does contain everything you want!

Creative Roar SR20A continuously prompts "TeraBass On/Off" When Playing Music While Charging

I have noticed that when playing music for a while (over an hour or so) on the Roar while charging causes the speaker to prompt "Tera Bass On" and "Tera Bass Off" continuously every one or two seconds. This continues till I switch off the charging and then its functions normally. I believe this happens once the unit gets fully charged. Has somebody faced this issue??? Is there a fix for it??? This is an annoying bug in the firmware.

Can I play music while I'm using other apps?

I believe that on my work iPad, I was able to play music while I used other apps, however, I seem to not be able to do so on my personal iPad. What do I need to do to be able to listen to music while I work?

If the apps use sound - such as game apps, you will not be able to play Music while using this apps. If you are working in a Word Processing app or some other app that doesn't involve using sounds, you should be able to play music - using the iPad Music App.

Listening to music while charging

I tried to search and couldn't find much info on this. Is it possible to charge the 4th gen nano and listen to music at the same time? if so do i need to change settings or ? thanks for any help

Yes, it is possible, and there really isn't any changes to make in regards to settings. However, you may have to [Safely Disconnnect|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1853] the iPod, to remove the "Do not Disconnect" screen, and then leave it plugged in. You should see the charging symbol at the top of the iPod's screen.
