Can I load only recent pictures on my iPOD

Is it possibly to automatically synchronize my iPOD to load (and keep) only photos that are less than a year old?

Assuming Apple doesn't eviscerate the files of the secondary graphics with another upgrade, there could be a plug in that reads the graphic and runs along side iTunes..we should get someone or Apple to program an alternative If we have to accept this downgrade in iTunes proper.
I've developed a quick workaround, and am still hoping Apple will fix this!
Go To Get Info on the tune you want to see secondary artwork for.
Go To the Artwork tab
Drag the back cover to the desktop, and it will create a new jpg you can open with quick viw or prieview where you can see it large!
you end up with a lot of jpgs on the desktop to discard!

Why can I load only 8 models into a program

Hi, i have a java progrem , and i work with NCSA portfolio , or Starfire 3DSLoader (i tried them both)
and the loader , lets me load every time only 8 models simultanitly, when i load more than 8 , it just doesn't show them , until i remove other loaded models (from the 8 loaded)
what can i do to fix it?

It's like this - I wanted to let the user choose a model , from a variety of 20 models ,
so i craeted a jframe , and within i added 20 jpanels , and each jpanel , had a model loaded into him (with Canvas3D...)... Now , when i run the program , only 8 models are shown in their jpanels , and all the other jpanels are blacked out (the model is there , but just doesn't show)...
Now when I remove a working jpanel in runtime (that has a model in it ) , then one blacked jpanel, is now working, and the model inside is shown...
that's how i figured out, he let me load only 8 models each time....
How can i solve tshi problem????????

Can I load two Apple Accounts on one iPod?

We have two Apple products (MacPro and iMac 2.0) so we both have iTunes accounts. We share an iPod (Video 30GB 5th gen) and want to put things from both accounts onto the one iPod. Can we? and how???
I know the short answer is to buy another iPod but is there any way to use more than one account to upload into the iPod?
*also can one iPod be used on more than one computer for content? Now we share by our drop folders in the "Share" folder after we have authenticated the iMac iTunes for both our accounts. It works so far but it would be nice to know if we can use both computers to update the one iPod... are we the only ones with this situation?

How Do I Load Only Selected Pictures?

Just got my iPhone -- trying to figure out how to efficiently load selected photos from a large picture library. Same problem with music is solved with a playlist. But with my picture library, I'm having to copy duplicate photos into a special folder. There has to be a better/smarter way. What I need is a "photo playlist". Can someone lend a hand with this?

With Windows, you can only do it just as you are doing--by creating a special folder.

Is there some way to only sync "recent" photos, say all photos that are less than a year old? Manually selecting the folders to sync to the iPad is quite a bit of work that I'd like to avoid.

On a PC if you are syncing folders then no, you have to select which (or all) folders to sync manually. You can sync via Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements (possibly depending on their version) on PCs, but I don't know whether you can create collections based on dates in them.

How can I load a bitmap picture to a GUI dynamically?

I would like to load bitmap pictures of waveforms (4x2 inches) to the GUI as each waveform is invoked by the operator randomly. I tried picture control VIs, it did not work. I must be making some mistake in my code.
I need a sample code example/explanation that shows how to accomplish the task.

All you need is the Read BMP From File and the Draw Flattened Pixmap functions. The help for Read BMP From File explains this.

Can I load songs and photos into an Ipod Nano I have purchased as a gift?

I have purchased an Ipod Nano 2GB as a gift for my 9 year old granddaughter for Xmas.
Before sending it I'd like to load some songs & photos on it, from my own Ipod Library and computer.
I'm concerned that doing this from my computer will only complicate things when they receive the Ipod and then install it on their own computer. The family is not real computer literate and the simpler the better.
What advice does anyone have - best to leave the new Ipod untouched and empty and have the initial install with Itunes/Apple on the computer they will be using? (Windows XP as well)

Personally I think it would be best to leave it. To use an iPod on multiple computers it has to be set to manual update. If your granddaughter wanted to update her iPod automatically (which is the simplest way) whatever you put on would get erased as the songs and pictures wouldn't be on her computer. Why not send along an iTunes gift certificate with it so she can buy some songs she'd like? I can't open albums recently synced to my iPod Classic 160GB 5th Gen.

My approximately 2.5 year old ipod Classic Gen. 5 recently developed a problem consisting of the inability to open and play recent albums that had been importged into iTunes and then synced to the iPod. The software version on my iPod is 2.0.4 and it had been updated to this level after I activated the iPod shortly after purchasing it in 2010. The version of iTunes on my computer is Version 10.5.3.3 which I installed on 01-25-2012. My Dell Computer XPS Gen 5 has Windows XP SP 3 installed on it as of 05-2009.
The "opening albums" problem has developed since the latest version of iTunes , 10.5.3.3 was installed. My iPod is about 75% full of it's stated capacity of 40, 000 tracks.I have nothing but music on my iPod.
All of my music iwithin iTunes is fully populated with the respective meta data including appropriate album art.
I have attempted several workarounds for this problem, including using the iPod reset routine (moving the HOLD button to the lock position for about 5-10 seconds, moving the Hold button back to the open position, then simultaneously holding the Menu and the Select buttons down until the Apple lkogo appears on the LED). The iPod eventually resumes normal mode and comes back to the Main Menu. This does not solve the problem of specific tracks within an album or playlist not playing.
The second workaround was having the iPod docked rto my computer and to right click the iPod graphc within iTunes which displays the panel which provides iPod identification and capacity statistics, etc. By clicking on the Restore button on this panel a procedure is launched to clear out the existing firmware on the iPod and reset it to that level on the iPod when it came from the factory; my iPod was reset to version.2.0.4. There is eventually a choice to make as to clearing off the existing music and I chose to do so.
One thing I do notice about the tracks that will not play is that they invariably show in the Get Info Summary tab as ID3tag v2.4 and Encoded by LAME3.98.
The bulk of my music reflects ID3Tag v2.3. I read somewhere that ID3Tag type v2.4 has some negative impact on iTunes and subsequently the iPod.. The ID3tag v2.4 offers the opportunity to preload album art within the ID3 tag at a prescribed area of the ID3 tag prior to importing the music tracks into iTunes.
I also read at one of the User Commumnity sites that iTunes began the iCloud concept in the latest version or versions in January 2012. Within the Menu bar at the top of the screen you can left click on the VIEW item and get a drop down list of options. If you left click on the VIEW OPTIONS you will get a panel which provides you a selection of fields to be displayed on your listing.among them being iCLOUD DOWNLOAD and iCLOUD STATUS. I have not subscribed
to the new iCloud service so all my tracks show as WAITING with a clear cloud graphic. Aparently these iCLOUD status indicators must be stored somewhere on the ID3 tag. I hope that the music that I have been impoting to iTunes is not being corrupted by the utilization of the same area for 2 different purpsoses.

But can you clarify that the problematic Albums does play in iTunes and not in iPod?
I agree with you, it is most likely the ID3Tag v2.4, which may not be implemented correctly, missing iPod software codec, especially the album art tag.
I can only suggest, deleting the Album Art for the album and see if it works.

Important: The first time you connect iPod nano to a computer that it’s not synced with, a message asks if you want to sync songs automatically. If you accept, all songs, audiobooks, and other content are erased from iPod nano and replaced with songs and other items from that computer.You can prevent iPod nano from syncing when you connect it to a computer other than the one you usually sync with.
Turn off automatic syncing for iPod nano:
In the iTunes Summary tab, deselect “Open iTunes when this iPod is connected,” and then click Apply.
If you turn off automatic syncing, you can still sync by clicking the Sync button.
Transferring purchased content to another computer
Content that you purchase in iTunes on one computer can be transferred from iPod nano to an iTunes library on another computer. The other computer must be authorized to play content from your iTunes Store account.
Authorize another computer:
Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.mm
Transfer purchased content to another computer:
1 Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
2 Connect iPod nano to the newly authorized computer.
3 In iTunes, choose File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.

Can I load different songs from CD into Ipod Nano?

Paying 99 cents for a song . . in an ipod that can hold 1000 tunes. You'll have a 1000 dollar walkman before you know it SO, I was wondering could I load the existing CDs that I already own in the Ipod Nano library?

Sure, just rip the tunes from your CDs into iTunes in whatever supported format you want (mp3, AAC, etc). Then just sync the Nano to iTunes and it will automatically download the song files to the Nano. Note that you have to convert your audio CD songs to a file first, then transfer it to the Nano, using iTunes. You can't just stick a CD in the drive and download directly to the Nano without using some sort of ripping and transfer software.

Only some pictures transfer to Ipod

I have been trying to transfer 6 pictures from a folder on my HD and only 3 will transfer. I have reduced the resolution of the pictures below 90KB's. They were originally 616KB, 645KB and 2.23MB. Resolution was reduced using PhotoSuite 10.

Unplug it, restarting your computer, and then plug it back in again. Does that help?

Can't load TV show on my video ipod

I just downloaded a TV show from itunes, but my video ipod says that it can't be played on it. what's going on.
....yes I'm sure it's a video ipod

I looked through it, but ONLY TV shows aren't playing, nor will the TV Shows playlist copy to my 5th gen video iPod. Everything else from the iTunes Store (including music videos that came with CDs) is playing.
