Can I load "Pages" onto new hard drive without having to pay for it again?

I have a 5 yr old Mac that just had it's hard drive replaced.  I had paid for and loaded Pages onto the original hard drive.  Wondering if there's any way to load Pages onto my new hard drive without having to pay for the program again.  Thanks so much

If you originally installed Pages from a CD or DVD, reinstall it from there.
If you installed Pages from the Mac App Store, yes, from the Apple ID you purchased it with.
If you got Pages from the iTunes App Store, the Mac version of it is a separate purchase.

My current hard drive is filled up and i'm going to buy a new, bigger hard drive. How can i change the save and backup destination for iTunes so i can backup and transfer my purchases(apps) onto the new hard drive? Without having to backup and save my apps onto the current hard drive because there's no space left on it. Thanks!

If you bought them on your iPad then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone - ringtones are a one-time only download, so you won't be able to redownload them directly on your phone.

Unfortunately, redownloading of past music purchases isa still in beta test and only available in the US right now.
It's due for everyone this fall.  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you can't wait, contact the iTunes Store Support Team at this link
If you get lucky, they may be able to authorize another download now.

The iLife that came with your MacBook is on the #2 gray disk that came with the MacBook.
The App Store version of iLife ‘11 programs will only work with 10.7 or 10.8. You can get the iLife ’11 DVD which will run on 10.6  on eBay or Amazon.com fairly cheap.

  • Trying to load windows onto new hard drive from usb, stuck at "starting windows" screen

So I am actually down grading from windows 8 pro to windows 7 pro both 64. I was finally able to get the comp to not only recongize, but load from the usb. My problem is that when it does start up, I get stuck at the "Starting windows" screen. I was wondering maybe I need to format a patition first? It is a new warranty hard drive from Lenovo. (Kind of funny how that send only cds for a laptop that has no cd drive) I looked into formatting from a usb, have had some trouble finding a reliable way.....thanks
    Solved!

    Hi davefromsb,
Windows 8 computers come with a "UEFI" bios and therefore will come with "Secure Boot" as well as "UEFI Only" booting enabled. Disable secure boot if you haven't already, and switch the booting method to "Legacy Only". The problem is most likely that the Windows 7 image that was burned to the USB stick was burned using a MBR partition scheme instead of a GPT one. Hope this helps.

  • Just upgraded to a new iMac...can I download Aperture without having to pay for it again?

I had the latest verion of Aperture on my old iMac.  I didn't want to do the whole migrating everything over to the new one because I didn't want all the junk going to the new computer.  Can I get Aperture downloaded from the App store without paying for it all over again?
I originally bought it on a DVD but the latest version I got from the App store.  So I'm confused as to if I will be charged again if I get it from the app store.

As long as you bought the current version of Aperture from the App Store you can download it as many time as you like without any additional cost.
You need to make sure you use the same Apple ID when you log into the App Store as you used when you first purchased Aperture.
    good luck.

  • I recently had to have my motherboard replaced in my laptop and lost my purchased music.  Can i retrieve it without having to pay for it again?

Help!  Lost my music and was wondering if there was a wat to recover it without having to purchase it again?

If you are in the US, download and install the latest version of iTunes on your computer, if you haven't already, go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the new Purchases link under the Quick Links. The new iTunes in the Cloud service, currently in beta as part of iCloud, may allow you to re-download your purchased content (music, movies and TV shows are only available to US users at this time).
    For more information, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are not in the US, then at this time you'll have to have a backup of your purchased music, either on another drive, removable media, or on an iOS device.
    Regards.

  • If I delete a 'paid' app from my iPad, can it be reinstalled without having to pay for it again?

Hope someone can help me.  I own an iPad (first generation) - 32MB and am running ios 4.2 on it.  I downloaded a language program and paid $15 for it.  When I try to launch it, it comes on for 1 second and then crashes and brings me back to my apps screen.  After reading several posts here, I'm getting the sense that I may have to delete the app and attempt to download it again.  However, I'm hoping that I'm NOT charged an additional $15 to download it again.  Since it automatically debits my credit card, how will I know that it hasn't charged me for the same app AGAIN -- without having to go view my bank card statement?
Appreciate any help on this matter!
    Thanks.  Othello727

There is one caveat. The app still has to be in the app store. As LNG as its in the app store and you paid for it once you can download it again. Also before you download it check to see I fit has been updated. Many apps require a later iOS to run that the version you reported.

  • Hi, I've replaced my HDD to an SSD and wonder if I can download Mountain Lion without having to pay for it again?

    Well?

Of course. Once you have purchased Mountain Lion, you can install it in all your Macs as many times as you want free of charge.
If you have already installed another OS X version on the iMac, open the Mac App Store, log in with your Apple ID, go to Purchases and download OS X Mountain Lion.
If the SSD hasn't got any operating system and you keep the HDD, you can buy a USB to SATA cable to connect the HDD to the iMac, and then, turn it on. Finally, start up into the HDD and use the Disk Utility's Restore feature to restore the HDD onto the SSD > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU7.html

That is entirely different ffrom your original question.
Just give your daughter a copy of the song files, which she will add to her library.  Use a USB flash drive to do so.

  • Can u reinstall a purchased app without having to pay for it again?

Is there a charge to reinstall a purchased app that was accidentally deleted?

You can install purchased apps again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought it with and as long as the app is still available in the app store.
