Sure. Set the LMS not to allow them any more than a single attempt on the module. The Captivate content doesn't control this.

Yes, that little piece of info is critical. I'd say the biggest difficulty with FCPX is the whole new language.
If I read you correctly, your Audio is in the Main Storyline (Track 1 in plain old Editorese). This makes anything else you add (above or below) a "connected clip", which we can no longer think of as "Track 2" because Jobs sez so. So, yes, you cannot just add a transition to either end of a connected clip.
No argument with Tracy's solution, because I haven't seen any other general solution presented for any attempt to treat connected clips as the main storyline. And, of course, when they were "track 1" and "track 2", you could.
An alternative solution, however, is to highlight the connected clip and press Ctrl-V to bring up the Video Animation Editor. Click the "reveal button" for Compositing: Opacity (bottom, right). Once open, there is a "fade handle" to the right top. Drag it left for however much fade you wish. (there is one on the left as well, but you were only talking about a fade-out.)
A second alternative, perhaps for future projects where everything keys on audio, may be to create a Gap clip (used to be called slug) in the primary storyline before ever dropping in the audio. Then you can add video to the main story line and modify it without having to go thru hoops to do the simplest thing.

I think it's dead but as my last breath i will try to find any different solution before to bury it. Sorry for my English, I am Brazilian, but I will try do my best for you understand me. Its me who needs help.
I have an iShuffle 512MB (purchase OUT2005), a mini iPod 6GB (purchase SET2005) and a PC running Windows XP SP2 (ADM Athlon XP 2600, HD 120GB, 512MB RAM, 6 USB 2.0).
My mini iPod 6GB (miP6) works correctly with iTunes 5 or 6, with its original factory software and settings and now with iPod update October 2005. I dont know if everything started when I first connected them two at the same time but they were working fine in the beginning.
One day my iShuffle, connected to my PC USB and transferring music from iTunes, , started to turn off and turn on, that is, iTunes showed it connected and then disconnected even I wasnt touching it. When it came back in iTunes I started to try to transfer music to it and this time it came off, and then came back without that music I tried to transfer in. This situation didnt go better even when I try to change my iPod to the other five USB ports, neither in my Notebook (PC WinXP SP2). I have reinstalled iPod with the original CD software, reinstalled iTunes and all the things I read at this forum. The situation was going worse until now, I dont know why, I cant use it anymore. The current situation, after all I did and I will explain what was - is:
1) When I connect it to a USB in my PC or Notebook, windows recognize it as a mass storage device and iTunes dont start automatically.
2) I go to windows explorer and there it is, Drive E: removable disk, but
3) But it looks like a Drive, with no disk in it. Its a kind of a CD-ROM drive with NO CD inside it. This way, I cant format it because I cant format a drive, just a disk, even partition it.
4) When I connect it to other PCs (winXP), with no iPod software installed, the systems first recognize it as Apple iPod and then as USB Mass Storage device, but the same way at my PC: OKB.
5) When I try to run iPod Updater I receive most of the times this message: Cant mount it. Some times it recognizes it as an iPod but I receive the message, during the restoring original software process, Firmware update failure. Disk write error, as you can see here: http://www.ivan.med.br/ishuffle.jpg.
6) So, to try to use Updater, at this time, is out of question. If there is anyway to save it, I think it must be through other software or adjustment, I dont know. I will show you a brief of what I have done until now:
Windows-try
- Current updater. Reinstalled old updater and run too. Reinstalled iTunes and all this stuff.
- Changed USB connection and reinstall USB drives.
- Installed iShuffle at another machine the same way described in iShuffle Manual.
- Tried to format it using windows explorer format tool and other no-windows native tools.
- Used partition magic and other tool to try to build anything in it.
- Used Click Administrative Tools, double-clicked Computer Management, and then clicked Disk Management in the left pane. Nothing appeared. When I connect my miP6 it is there, and everything works fine. Just remember.
- Used Windows tools (CMD tools) as DiskPart and MountVol. Nothing.
DOS-Try
- I used a bootable win98 formatted floppy disk, with USB ASPI support, and the system recognized the two USB devices I have connected that time: my Apple DEAD iShuffle and my Pendrive. But it could not assign a letter to iSuffle device, only for the pendrive. Ive used DUSE software too and the same answer, even with an instruction INT13 that allow me to use Fdisk. But even Fdisk could not recognize the iPod as a Disk.

Same problem in the US...after 1 week of use, hit the reverse button while playing and it stopped, never to resume. Tried the latest software updater for both the ipod and itunes, and received the Ipod Service and Can't Mount Errors. After multiple attempts, all I get is the updater screen stating Initializing.. Additionally, when I tried to reinstall, it stated that the ipod needed to be formatted, yet I received a message that the ipod couldn't communicate. Seems like too many people are having the same issue!

How can I lock an item on the form?

I have a master-detail form, I wanted to lock an item on the detail block of the form which means this item can be seen but can't be changed on the form.
I configured the Query Only, Query Allowed, Insert Allowed, Update Allowed as NO in the property palette of this item. However, when I run the form, if I try to change the value of this item, it doesn't allow me, but it also won't let me go to next record and it just stop at the record I try to make the change. Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Setting the properties "insert allowed" and "update allowed" will allow the item to display queried values. Allow the user to click in the field and copy values. But will not allow the user to change the value.
You can can do the above for the whole item in your detail block using set_item_property or just at the record level with set_item_instance_property.
Setting enabled to "No" is a little drastic. I dont use it that much. I think it also makes the text gray and hard to read.
What is probably stopping you from going to the next record is that you have the "required" property set to "yes".
I dont ever set the required property to yes anymore in my forms. I write all my field validation in one program unit and call it from pre-insert and pre-update. This allows the user to freely navigate througout the form and field values are typically only checked when they press save. Not always, but mostly.

SOLUTION!
I've been suffering from this problem for a few months. I tried everything suggested by everyone, and then, today, I had a mad idea.
I used to work in a room in the house that's about 12 metres away from the router. It's on the next storey up and horizontally about 8 metres away. The problem started when I began to work in the same room as the router.
Today I became so frustrated that for some reason I walked into a room about 8 metres away on the same level - Guess what? I connected with no problem at all. Feeling full of joy I walked back to the room where the router is located - Dropped internet connection within a few minutes! Walked back to the the room that's 8 metres away and, hey presto! I have a connection. I now realise that the problem was that I moved too close to the router.
I can think of no logical explanation for my experience, but empirically it seems to work. Does anyone have the faintest idea of why this should be the case? In the absence of an answer I think I may have to start believing in fairies at the bottom of the garden - I'm just off to set a meal for them.
By the way, I don't know if it has any significance, but the router is a BT Infinity router that has replaced the incredibly unreliable Virgin Media cable connection

How does one create a form with prefilled editable text in Acrobat Pro, such as for fliers or business cards that can be edited and saved by the end user in Reader?

When I created a new template like you told me, I wasn't given the option to rename the fields. See screenshot below. I'm just given the option to add a new template. Changing it refers to changing the template to a different page.
If you can show me how to have the fields renamed automatically or use the rename parameter, I think that should fix it.

I encountered a problem waking my laptop (Pavilion dv7-1270us) this morning. At first it would not wake up and had to do a hard reboot. Now I have two flashing lights on the keyboard -the caps lock light and the one over the end/pg up keys over the number pad. I have run several diagnostics and cannot find an answer as to what this is.

How can I add a response to the end of each item question in an email list of questions and send that back to the originator?

I have emails that ask for certian items to be addressed such as "please fix leak in bath sink" and then the next line will have another request and on and on. I would like to answer each question at the end of each line with a response (preferably in a different color font to stand out) such as "yes - will fix" or "that can't be done" or "you will have to fix that yourself". Then I want to send that reply back to the original sender.

Hi everyone-
Is it possible to create a hyperlink (or clickable URL) at the end of my video in Premiere Pro? I'd like to be able to have some simple language to an end card reading, "To learn more, click here" with a hyperlink leading to a relevant website.
(I know there are ways to do this in YouTube with Annotations, but this isn't my question. This video will not be hosted on YouTube.)

As noted in the other reply, this isn't done through the video editor. It's something that needs to be available from the hosting service for the video ... and handled through that end. The sort of command that says "at this point in the timeline clicking on video gets this reaction ... ". So check with whatever "service" will be hosting it for the details of how they handle this, and then you would add the text into your video at the appropriate moment in "time" ... but it would actually be the command system of the hosting service that would have the actionable command.

I can't burn any DVD or CD - burning process interrupts before it ends

I've got the following problem: I can't burn any dvd or cd. I've already tried with different programs such as Sonic, Nero 7.0, and I Tunes, and I got every time a mistake wich interrupted the burning process before it ends.
So I don't know what to day ! I've already tried to re install the drivers, but it's didtn't change anything.

The error log doesnt provide any very useful information.
According to this error log the simulation was running correct but the burning process was not started.
In such case its very hard to say why it happens. Possibly the drive is damage and cannot calibrate the lens properly or you use not compatible medias.
The burning process depands also on the fiels and data which youwant to burn.
Some data, CD, DVDs are encrypted and its not possible to burn and to copy it.
In other case you could also try to burn the medias with lower speed and not with 24x.

2 ipods, 1 machine, 2 user accounts. Can I LOCK each ipod to a user?

I've got an iPod classic, my GF has the nano. We both have separate user accounts on the same machine. The problem I'm running into is sometimes she has itunes open in her account in the background. I log into my account and plug in my ipod and it mounts to her account and my itunes tell me another user account is using my ipod. I can't sync until I open up her account and close itunes, and then reconnect the ipod. Sometime it happens the other way, she can't access her ipod if my itunes is open in the background because it opens up in my account. Is there a way to lock each ipod to each use so this wont happen? It's a pain to have to open the other account to shut itunes down.

I have the same problem except 3 nanos and 3 user accounts. It's a real pain because I never know witch account to look in.

Can I lock a course if the user closes it before the end?
