Can I Lock Playlists in Itunes

Is It possible to lock the order of a playlist in Itunes so that it can not be changed?

I submitted a feature request to Apple for this a while back. I assume that Apple considers the number of people that request specific features when deciding not to implement them (I looked very quickly and could not make an accurate determination on whether they use this criteria on determining feature road-map). I would think the more people that request a feature the more likely it would be implemented, if you really want this I encourage you to go here and submit a request.

As far as I know, no. You can make a separate account for the kids, you can lock them out of the radio, podcasts and the Music Store, but you cannot lock one playlist.

Is there a way to do that, or somehow bring back the "are you sure you want to delete this playlist" message box?
I sometimes delete playlists on accident(or my brother does) and when I do that I want to scream at the top of my lungs.

There's no way I know of to lock a playlist. You may want to back up your playlists on a regular basis in case you delete one accidentally.

You can sync those different playlists to the iPod, and the song appears on each playlist. However, the song is stored on the iPod once. What is the practical reason for wanting to store the same song file multiple times (and waste storage space) on the iPod?

Can not burn playlists from Itunes on PC burners... error message saying it does not see cd hardware,etc.

New itunes version no help. It appears perhaps that a hardware conflict is in place with AnyDVD. Anyway around this without removing AnyDVD?

I can't sync my iPod playlists to iTunes?

I have a playlist on my iPod with about 400 songs in it and every time I sync with iTunes I lose it. I really don't like re-making the playlist and I want to sync more songs to my iPod.
I've heard that with iTunes you should be able to pull down playlists under the device tab, and I've done that but it doesn't even show the current playlists on my iPod. It doesn't show playlists I made after my last sync, and it shows playlists that don't even exist on my iPod anymore.

Can I Import a Playlist into iTunes 2.0.4?

I have kept my G4 bootable in OS 9.2.2 as well as OS X. Using iTunes v2.0.4 I can "export" a playlist which iTunes v5.0.1 can read by using "import". However, that same playlist seems unuseable on another Mac which also runs iTunes v2.0.4. Additionally a playlist "exported" from iTunes v5.0.1 seems to be unuseable in v2.0.4.
I guess my main point is that v2.0.4 can export a playlist but cannot import one from the same version or higher. Or have I just not found the command for importing a list into v2.0.4?
If you can export a list, shouldn't you also be able to import one?

You CAN create multiple playlists in iTunes and then load them onto the shuffle BUT you CAN'T select which playlist to play while using the shuffle... you can only play music serially (eg play-in-order mode) or randomly (eg shuffle mode).

The easiest and most efficient way to copy your music is to follow the steps under the External drive section. Make sure that you have organized the iTunes library first before you copy it over. Then put the copied iTunes folder in the same Music folder on your computer.

Ever since the last download, I am unable to edit my playlists on itunes. When my phone is not plugged in, my playlists that are on my phone are not on itunes but my songs are. Only the default playlists show up. How can I get all of my playlists back?

I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............
