Can I log websites that are visited using my Airport Express?

I've been looking for a while and I can't seem to find a way. Any thoughts?

I don't believe so. At the very least, there's no way to do it using AirPort Utility.

I can not access any website that was not part of my favorites through firefox. When i type in the url nothing happens it just sits there. I have tried starting firefox in safemode and still same results. How can I back up with Time Machine using an Airport Express on LaCie D2 NAS

I want to use Time Machine through my Airport Express to back up my computer onto my LaCie D2 NAS. But curently when I "choose a drive" in Time Machine it finds my Airport Express and says there is nothing there.

here's my situation: i have a belkin wireless g router connected to my cable modem and my G4 desktop connected to the belkin router. i need to access an epson 3000 printer with only an ethernet port in another room in the house. i was told my the tech guy in the local apple store that i could use an airport express to do this but for the life of me i can't make it happen using either airport setup assistant or airport admin utility. so is it possible? and if not, what would you suggest i do so i can access the printer?

Since downloading IOS8, when I log in to certain websites that are password specific and check the stay logged in box, when I return to the home screen then back to the website I have to log in again which is very frustrating

To see registered devices in My account:
1) Go to Account > My Account
2) Scroll down, and ensure that that you first have an active subscrption (if you do not, you are not logged in to you Ovi Music unlimited account)
3) Below Unlimited downloads subscription box, you should have a Registered devices box.

'can't be ejected because it contains files that are in use"? help ~!

hey guys
so recently after i tried to upload a few videos onto my 80 gb video ipod (it worked fine before), i got a message that said 'the ipod 'owner's ipod' cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application'. this message pops up when i try to safely eject my ipod after its all done uploading, and when i click the eject button, the 'please do not disconnect, updating ipod' sign on my itunes comes up as well as the message up there. the "don't disconnect' sign comes up on my ipod as well. and only after i close itunes does it go away. what is the'other application' and how can i fix it?? help help ! thanks !

Well, I don't have an answer for you but it does happen to me occasionally also. I've never been able to figure it out either. I think it's interesting that it happens on your Windows machine and on my Mac. For me, it sometimes doesn't even help to quit iTunes. I have, on occasion, just disconnecte and reset the iPod, which doesn't seem to have done it any harm.

Here are some possible solutions:
Do you use musicmatch jukebox on your computer? If you do, you have to go into task manager on windows and end process mim.exe. It interferes with disconnecting ext devices
Empty your "trash/recycle bin."
If that doesn't work, try quitting all your programs, especially music-type programs, basically things that look for mp3's etc.
if that doesn't work, "log off" then "log on" and that should refresh/purge your OS system.
Finally, you can restart your computer.

The ipod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application

I am using my crusty but trusty 5G iPod with my new rMPB, and things have been working as expected for the month or so that I've had the new laptop. But "recently," (past few days?), when I go to eject from iTunes (current - 11.1.5), I get the error message, "The iPod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application." The iPod is then ejected but the "Do not disconnect" message remains on the iPod screen. I can continue using the iPod as normal after all this.
If I eject the iPod from the Finder, I get no error message but the iPod screen still remains at "Do not disconnect."
I tried plugging it into my Windows 7 PC (did not reformat of course!) and then ejected it, and the iPod screen returned to its proper state after a proper Windows disconnect.
I have of course restarted my Mac and reset the iPod (Up + Center buttons held for ~5 sec) but no change. I don't remember changing the OS that would cause this - any suggestions as to the problem here?

Can't see files that are backedup

I have a G4 iMac that has both an internal (small) and external (large) drive that I use for data. I am using a time capsule to backup the whole system.
When I run Time Machine it appears to backup both disks, the log file shows both drives having many GBs of data being transferred without any errors.
However, when I go into the TM application, I can only see files that are on the internal drive. I can only see my external 'LaCie HFS' in the Now view, going back in time that drive is greyed out.
If I use the finder when the TC is mounted, I can traverse into 'Backup.backupdb/iMac/2009-08-074700' and I can see the 'LaCie HFS' folder and in it are all my backed up files.
I have looked through the FAQ and various postings but cannot find an answer.
The closest thing that I can see as being a potential problem is that my old internal drive uses an Apple Partition Map while my new external drive uses a GUID Partition Table.

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
Try this: Open a Finder window and press ShiftCmdC (or select your computer name in the Finder Sidebar).
Then +Enter Time Machine.+
On the first Finder window in the "cascade," labelled Now, you'll see all the volumes currently attached to your Mac.
Select the Finder window for any backup, and you'll see a folder for each drive/volume that was backed-up, including any that are no longer connected. Navigate from there to whatever you're looking for.

Index monitoring is started and stopped using the ALTER INDEX syntax shown below.
ALTER INDEX my_index_i MONITORING USAGE;
ALTER INDEX my_index_i NOMONITORING USAGE;
Information about the index usage can be displayed using the $OBJECT_USAGE view.
Query :-
SELECT index_name,
table_name,
monitoring,
used,
start_monitoring,
end_monitoring
FROM v$object_usage
WHERE index_name = 'MY_INDEX_I'
ORDER BY index_name;
The V$OBJECT_USAGE view does not contain an OWNER column so you must to log on as the object owner to see the usage data

I'm using LR 5.7.1 on a Mac.
When I've retouched raw pictures with PS CC (and do not need the PSD file any longer) I export the PSD (that is in my catalog) as JPG and let it add to my catalog automatically. After that I delete the PSD file. That works fine.
But .... the new JPG file is not assigned to any collection. That's no problem unless I forget to do it manually after that export (and import).
That brings me to my question.
How can I find photos that are not assigned to any collection?
I tried it with a smart collection after I found nothing suitable in library filter. The search criteria I tried are Source -> Collection with any of the conditions. One with an empty value field, then with just a space and so on.
Has anybody a good hint for me?

I had the same problem. I had to uninstall 7.0 and install 6.0 and was able to restore OK. I'm back using 6.0, but just got a second generation ipod nano, so I have to go to 7.0 or greater. My only words of wisdom are DO NOT SET ANY LOCKS until you are really sure you want to. Also with 7.0 I could not eject my ipod unless I went to the "safe to eject ipod" command. Apple has some problems to work out and I hope soon. Clumsy as best...............

My iPod (20 gb, 4 gen) syncs fine, but when I go to eject it a window pops up saying "the iPod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application."
Unfortunately, there are no files on it (that I know of) that are being used by another application.
I can't use the eject function on the task bar because I have Vista and it will corrupt the iPod. I've just been unplugging it with out ejecting, but was hoping there was a solution. Any advice?

Are you running any anti-virus or spyware detection software in the background? Start closing programs located in the taskbar next to the clock and try ejecting the iPod.

After I had put some songs on the ipod, i got that message. I thought maybe the new songs were the problem but de computer still doesn't want to eject my Ipod and there are no programes in use other than itunes.

by any chance, do you have McAfee ActiveScan security software on that PC? i've seen that implicated a few times with this message.
if you do have McAfee, as an experiment try switching that off prior to doing a sync. do you still get the message then?
if the McAfee thing doesn't-help/isn't-relevant, let's try using the following techniques to see if we can identify if some other program is causing the message. (the article is actually about installation errors, but the techniques are relevant to this sort of investigation.)
