Can I make a PDF of part of a PDF?

I have .pdfs of the Final Cut Studio apps Help Manuals.
These are huge and I would like to select small sections (chapters) and make a new smaller .pdf.
Is this possible?

Yes. In preview open sidebar and delete or select what you want. You can drag out individual pages to Desktop for example, to print.
Or you can select text, copy and paste to TextEdit-->Print-->PDF-->Save as PDF

Adobe Reader on the iPhone is a PDF reading app. It's not a creation app.
You need to get an app like Pages which is intended for page layout. It can place pictures from the phone and export PDF.

InDesign can export to a filable form, assuming you add the fields in InDesign (6/CC) and export as an interactive PDF. You can't create a form with Reader or Illustrator. You also can't Reader-enable with anything other than Acrobat, so Reader users will have to use version 11 in order to save a filled-in form.

The answer is no, you would need Photoshop CS2 or CS3 to do this. This function was removed in Photoshop CS4 and CS5

I found an answer to my own question. A work around of sorts.
Download Photoshop Elements 6 for Macintosh. With PSE6 I made a slide show with 550 images 1920x1200, without thumbs. I ran into one problem making the slide show. My images contained 4 images which had not ben created by Photoshop and could not be included in the slide show. Opening the images in Photoshop CS4 and re-saving them still did not make then acceptable. Not a big deal. I probably could have fixed the four images by stripping all EXIF data before opening them in Photoshop. BTW, PSE6 made the slide show in demo mode.
I hope the bug in Photoshop CS4 will be fixed in Photoshop CS5.

How can I make a PDF of a Muse Preview page?

I need to make an accurate PDF reproduction of my web pages for a customer. I've tried making them from Acrobat Pro, a Chrome plugin, a Safari plugin, and the Mac Command + 4 method. None of these methods display the page with all of its components (which do appear fine on the website and in Muse where it was created).
I would have suspected that I could make a PDF of an entire page from inside Muse as this would be something that designers would need to save and print for their clients to review, but I can't figure out how. I'd appreciate any help.

I've tried several third-party utilities for Chrome and Safari. I use a Mac and Fireshot is only available for Windows so I can't try that one. So far, none of the third-party utilities duplicate the page as it looks on the web or in Muse.

How can I make my PDF open to "Fit One Full Page to Window" by default regardless of who is opening it?

Hi, everyone. I am currently creating PDFs that have different page sizes (2 pages at 8.5" x 11" and other pages that range from 40"w x 80"h to 150"w x 150"h). I'm trying to package some artwork templates and artwork guidelines together for my clients to make it easier for them to access this information.
The current issue I am running into is that I cannot figure out how to make these PDFs open with a default view of "Fit One Full Page to Window". I know how to set the default on my Acrobat Reader but I need it to default to this view when someone else opens it on their computer to view. (PDF currently opens the first page correctly but the rest of the pages are not previewing to fit page based on their page size. The only thing that reacts the way I want these documents to be viewed is the "Fit One Full Page In Window" option but I need to know how to default the PDF to view this way every time.)
Any help is appreciated! I'm under a deadline so the sooner I can resolve this the better!

There is an option for the Initial View that is "Magnification:" "Fit Page". And this works for the initial page when the PDF is opened and it does not matter what the page size it, Acrobat/Reader will automatically fill the screen with the page. If you want the zoom type to change with each page then you need add a page open script to each page to set the pages zoom type to "zoomtype.fitP"

Can't make Photoshop PDF with editable / vector text.

I'm trying to File > Save As an Adobe Photoshop CS6 PDF and then be able to open it and edit the text in Adobe Acrobat X.
Whenever I attempt to edit the text it is a raster image and it doesnt matter what I do in the photoshop pdf settings.
I want to be able to do this so that the text is able to be searched by google / search engines when I make the PDF available online.

That what I did by using CS6 and it worked for me. Hope it helps you too
Step1) Moved All Graphics (Images/Backgrounds) in one folder (Folder-Layers)
Step2) Moved All texts (title, Headings, main text etc.) in another folder (Folder-Text)
Step3) Merge the first folder (Folder-Layers) and made a single layer by right click & Merge Group
                           OR Select folder > Layer > Rasterize > Layer
                           Now I have only one Background Layer (Graphics) and a text folder
Step4) Go to - File > Save As > Choose Photoshop PDF –
Check* Use Proof Setup: Working CMYK then SAVE (If you want print)      You will get a message “The settings you choose in the save Adobe PDF dialog can override your    Current settings in the Save As dialog box. “- OK
Step 5) Save Adobe PDF Dialogue Box
              Choose settings-
Adobe PDF Preset: Adobe PDF Preset 1
Standard:        PDF/X-4:2010
Compatibility:    Acrobat 7(PDF 1. 6)
General
Check- Optimize for fast Web Preview
Check- View PDF after Saving
Compression
Just change Compression box None (No Zip, No JPEG., No JPEG2000)
Don’t touch any settings. and then SAVE PDF
Then open in Acrobat Reader and do the text changes.

I have got this question:
Imaging this case: I have 3 indesigndocuments, that should be in one pdf-document. So i make a booklet of the 3 indesigndocuments and then i can make a pdf of them. But I want the pages in the pdf shown spreadwise. (so option spread is checked). BUT: the pages in the indesigndocuments are not like that. F.i. id-doc1 has page 1 and 2, id-doc2 has 3 tot 6 and id-doc3 has the rest of the pages. (this is just an example to explain…) So page 2 and 3 should be on a spread etc…
But instead of this I get a pdf like:

Can that be solved, still using the same indesign-documents?

If I understand your first question correctly, you can set the Default Language in Document Properties - Advanced tab - near the bottom of the window under Reading Options. Any text that departs from the default language should be marked appropriately using the Language property of the associated container tag (in the Tags panel, right-click the tag, select Properties, then the Tag tab, set the Language).
Read Out Loud is on the View menu, at least in Acrobat X. You have to "Activate" it, then either "Read This Page Only" or "Read to End of Document". Please post a follow up if it is giving you trouble.
