Is it possible to make a keyboard shortcut that allows me to put my computer to sleep ?

Sleep: option-command-eject
Restart: control-command-eject
Shutdown: control-option-command-eject
(Dialog box:
Sleep: Control+Eject then S
Restart: Control+Eject then R
Shutdown: Control+Eject then Return
Cancel: Control+Eject then command-dot)
You can also use the option (in System Preferences > Energy Saver)
"Allow power button to sleep the computer"
Or you can create a custom keyboard shortcut in System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts

That is controlled by the web browser you are using. It is called Auto Fill in most of them. I don't use Safari so I'm not sure how that works in that browser.

What do you mean by " have not got icloud to track it"?
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

Up till now I had a .me mail account and I used POP. Now I've moved to iCloud, and apparently am forced to use IMAP.
I have an iMac on which I want to keep all my mail, deal with it, archive it, etcetera. And I have an iPad on which I occasionally check my mail when away from my desk, and on which I don't want to keep any mail. Up till now I used to delete all mail on my iPad as soon as I was sure it was stored on my iMac. But apparently that doesn't work anymore. I emptied the IN box on my iPad, and now the IN box on my iMac is empty too, as, I just noticed to my horror, is the SENT box there. There used to be quite a number of mails I absolutely needed to keep, and some I still have to answer …
How can I make sure that the mail I want to be on my iMac really gets there and stays there for as long as I choose to keep it (other than not throwing away any mail anywhere, which will eventually fill my Cloud)? Will it be enough to move all mail in the IN and SENT box to a corresponding box in the "On My Mac" section?
Any advise would be more than wellcome.

You have already worked it out, make local folders (doesn't matter what you call them) and put mail that you wish to keep, but not keep on the server in the local folders, as long as the folders are 'On your Mac' they will not appear on your other devices.
As a bonus when you change your mind and want a piece of mail 'globally' accessible just move it from the local folder back to the iCloud account folder.

I had to reset my pc '(Windows 8.1) after having had the message that entroy pints couldn't be found. Since then it's impossible to make shortcuts in Firefox. After having made a shortcut and put it on the desk, it's the start page (google.be) that appears.

Can I make a shortcut to a VI that is placed in my VI library?

I'm making a program in LabVIEW. It uses several sub-VI's, and to keepe track of them all I've placed all my VIs in a VI Library.
Now I would like to be able to start my main-VI from a shortcut placed on the desktop, but I can't seem to create a shortcut to the VI, because it is inside the VI library. Inside the VI library there is no item in the "right-click-menu" where you can "Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut)". Is there any way to create a shortcut to the VI when it is inside a library?

That should work but I'd also like to add my usual comment about saving VIs in an LLB. This is not a good idea for development. A single corrupt VI can corrupt the entire LLB. LLB's, imho, should only be used for distribution. The LLB was created when Windows did not allow long file names and it's usefulness has long been gone, except as I said, as a distribution tool. Check the forum for posts from users asking for help in recovering corrupt LLBs and you'll see what I mean.

Can't make ipad sync apps to new computer's iTunes

I have a slightly strange problem. In Sept 2012, I got a MacBook to replace a Windows laptop. I transferred all my itunes music across and used 'transfer purchases' from my Ipod Touch to transfer all the apps to the itunes on the mac so I could keep all my apps. I then ticked the 'sync apps' box, and synced and everything works wonderfully, all my apps are still there etc and I can download them from the app store etc on the ipod.
However, when I did this with my iPad 2, it never changed from syncing with the old laptop. Under iTunes wifi sync on the ipad, music,movies,podcasts, books and tones are synced with the new macbook, and for some reason apps, itunes U and movies are synced with my old laptop. I can't download any new apps or music on the ipad from the itunes app/appstore app either (the buttons just don't do anything). Nor can I seem to, no matter how hard I try, make the ipad sync apps with the new macbook. The apps themselves work just as they ever used to.
I understand with itunes 11 the 'sync apps' button has gone, so I tried transferring purchases and then syncing, to no avail. All my apps show up in the corect position under the 'apps' tab, but they just won't sync.
I have some access to the old laptop, but it is 200 miles away and I can't access it for several weeks at least. There's nothing in the apps themselves that is absolutely vital for me to keep (although obviously it'd be annoying to lose all the data stored in them, such as game saves).
Can anyone help?

Edit: Strangely, I can now get it to delete apps, by deleting them from the apps tab on iTunes, it goes all the way through the sync, but finds an app to sync (generally just one), gets halfway through that then cancels the sync. However, it has deleted the app I selected for deletion from the ipad. I still can't downalod anything from the itunes app.

Oddly, I've now (through repeatedly trying to sync the ipad) got the apps to now sync to my ipad according to thw wifi sync menu on the ipad. However, the sync still cancels halfways through. It attemps to sync between 1-20 songs that aren't on my ipad (cause it hasn't been syncing) and then gives up and "cancelling sync" appears.
Each time the number of songs left to sync is fewer and fewer, but I can't deal with an ipad that can only sync 5 songs per sync cycle. There's no reason given as to why it cancelled the sync, and none of the apps sync.
