Can I make a simple voltage recording when SCB-68 is configured for Cold Junction Compensation?

Hi everyone,
I am using a 6221 PCI card and SCB-68 connection module. I have set the SCB-68 module switches so that the 5 thermocouples I have connected between AI1 and AI5 are using the Cold Junction Compensation of AI0. Everything works fine.
Could someone tell me if the differential inputs left AI6 and AI7 can be used for recording another kind of sensor (nothing to do with a thermocouple) ? I suppose I just need to set those 2 inputs to a simple voltage recording function? The previous switches settings enable to do this simple recording ?

Thanks for your answer and your advice. So I will use my free channels for other sensors.
Concerning your other remarks , I have planned setting the DAQ assitant at 100 samples and 1KHz for the thermocuples. Making an average of the 100 samples for each channel gives a good result from what I have seen in my last test. After this, with another DAQ assistant I am making some other kind of recording at another speed. I know this is not optimized using DAQ Assistant but loss of time and simultanity isn't a problem for me in this project.
However if I had used only one DAQ Assistant for my thermocouples and for the other sensors, a part from the rate vs thermocouples problem, not having the same ranges could have been a problem?
I also don't understand the channel order you mentioned. Still using a DAQ Assistant in what way would this effetc the measures?

We won't be able to put the address from a formula into the same cell that you enter the customer's name. We can put the address in the cell under the customers name.
First let's take James advice and concatenate the address in the address table.
Here is the formula in G2

It shows this way because after I clicked on B2 and typed [&"] (no brackets) I typed option-return
This gives you your new line. Then I typed the closing ". I repeated this for the rest of the address.
Next we want to bring this to your order sheet. I prefer using the two formulas OFFSET and MATCH instead of VLOOKUP.
base tells OFFSETwhere to start counting from. Click A1.
row-offset is for the row. we will use MATCH() -1 to give us the row.
What MATCH does is give you the row number where something is found and you can specify an exact match. I usually construct the MATCH formula first and then cut and paste it into OFFSET. MATCH looks like this: MATCH(A2,Table 1::A,0). A2 is what we are looking for, Table 1A::A is where we are looking (the entire column A), and 0 means we want an exact match. Can you see it inside the OFFSET formula? Notice that we had to subtract 1 from its result.
column-offset tells OFFSET which column A=0 so we want 6.
we ignore "rows", "colomns" we don't need them.
If this seems like too much, just break it down into small pieces.

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

If you are describing the settings in System Preferences on your iMac, you need to turn those OFF. Your current setup has the iMac acting as the print server.
Instead you want to rely on the Time Capsule to do the printer sharing. You would configure that using AirPort Utility.
Thanks Duane, that bit of information did the trick. All I had to do was turn printer sharing off in sys prefs and it now works the way I thought it should work.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

Have you provided feedback to Apple requesting this feature? The only way for Apple to know about feature requests is through their feedback page. Once there, click on the appropriate subject. Not everyone may be interested in this, I know I wouldn't, since I plug my device in to charge at night, and would not appreciate the screen lit up. My wi-fi usually works fine but every so often it starts to work very slowly and usually not at all. How can I make it where I always stay connected to the wi-fi for the speed and convenience, but then my phone switches over to 3G connection when it can't receive data via it? How can I make a simple slideshow on iDVD?

As opposed to the majority of Apple apps that are "user-friendly" I find using iDVD a very awkward, un-friendly application. It offers "drop zones" without me understanding what I should "drop" into them.
I just want to make a simple DVD of a slideshow with some background music ... nothing fancy. I don't need any theme and I don't need to add any movies.

To simply create a slide show in iDVD 7 onwards from images in iPhoto or stored in other places on your hard disk or a connected server, look here:

If you want something a bit more sophisticated:
There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:

(Other users here use the alternative FotoMagico: http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/homevspro/ which you may prefer - I have no experience with it.)
Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!

That isn't something that you can do during the conversion process. But, with Acrobat, you can apply security constraints to the file, which would prevent people who are viewing the PDF from copying the contents of the PDF. See Acrobat Help | Securing PDFs with passwords for more information. If you don't have Acrobat, you're welcome to give it a try. You can download a 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.
