Draw a shape over the image to define the portion of it you want to appear "in front."
With the shape and the image selected, clip the image using the shape. (Object > Clipping Mask > Make) -

I'm trying to convert a PDF to Word, but it won't copy signatures over, just get gobblygook... any way I can convert with an image of the signatures? I tried Word, RTF etc but they all come out the same. Help!

When a document is signed, the signer has the option of locking the document. The links won't be active if the document is locked, so to avoid this, instruct the signer not to lock when signing.

Can I make an image of a hard drive which I attached trough enclosure to my laptop?
hi,
I like to know if I can make an image of hard drive which I attached trough enclosure to my laptop ? if yes which utility is usefull for this purpose? or if there any third party software for this purpose.
I am thinking also if I clone this extern hard drive wil I get the same result.
my aim is to make an image of this hard drive which is not working and are some deleted data which I want to recover it whith third party data recovery software.

with ghost application, you can clone your disk, or make a image from another disk or extrac image to disk.
also he support unicast & multicast if you wan't clone to 10-50 New Hard drive from some image.

first Download this file (iso file) and burn it on cd.
connect your another HDD you wan't and
Boot your comuter from CD, and select Dos Program & Backup, then ghost.
in ghost options select "with USB".
now in the program you can select what you wan't like disk to image or pratition to image & compression type.

Can not make still image using share in Final Cut Pro x
This is what I get when trying to make a still image under share.
(com.apple.Compressor.CompressorKit.ErrorDomain error -1.)
This is a new error message. Was able to make still image before.

just posted this over at Compressor because of the Compressor related error message I was getting wheN i tried to 'Share' a sill image from video.
Thanks for the tip Russ, I did not know that one. I had tried using cmd+shift+3 with Snapz Pro to screen capture which intially worked but then did not. I tried ditching the prefs and the apps with Digital Rebellion but had no luck in saving a still. But, I installed the new FCPX update and on first try I was able to export a stll frame, on one laptop anyway. BTW, must say, I am not keen on the 'Share' notion in an app like FCPX. What I considering I am doing when trying to obtain a stil image is exporting or saving not sharing. I hope Apple might considered amending such terminology, share seems appropriate for iTunes or iWeb but not FCPX.
One more thing, a truly odd one. Files marled as .mov from my Fujifilm X100 will not import into FCPX!!
That is truly amazing - Quicktime files not recognised by an Apple aplication!! Our trials are not over.

The images show in outputs but not in previews, nor in Review PDFs (Review | Create PDF for Review . . .).

Trying to make a base image. The whole process seems to work, all process
work. Discs downloaded, etc, gets to the end and says workstation has not
work to do. I check the properties of wrst object and the take an image on
next boot is checked. There are no describe -603 errors in the log. I have
pasted the log below.
Can you tell what the error is and how I can remidie it?

How can I make my images look good when exporting to PDF document?
Hello! I'm struggling here with a PDF Brochure that I need to create (intended for web only, not print).
There are two images that look horrible and pixelated when I create my PDF file. I have tried everything, making the images bigger and smaller, using 72 dpi images and 300 dpi ones. Everything results the same way... It looks perfect in my InDesign file, but in the PDF it looks all damaged. Here are two screen shots, one of how it looks in the PDF and one of how it looks in InDesign.
Could you please tell me what I need to do to guarantee that the image looks good quality in the PDF? (My document is 40cmx20cm, I don't not if using cm is affecting the document).
To export to PDF I'm using the option: Adobe PDF pressets --> Smallest file size.
If you can help me I would really appreciate it!

Terrible idea. In a JPG the text will not be alive, you loose all interactivity.
And making JPGs with InDesign is not what the program is meant to make. -
How can you make an image adjustment on all images in a Stack
If one had a stack of images that need a brightness adjustment. How can you preform the adjustment a stack of images that need the same amount of adjustment?
Many times I have a stack of images that need a +10 brightness adjustment on them and it would save a lot of time if I could do it on a whole stack of images.good points, as l/s takes every adjustment ... including autolevels/exposure ... BUT DOESN'T make them auto to the next image(s), it just lifts the current image settings !!! which is fine for a five shoot series all at the same exposure, but not so much when it is not !!!

How can I make an image scrollable and zoomable?
I'm working on making a map that will have multiple layers overlaid that will be clickable on and off. In addition, sections of the map will be interactive and when clicked, will change to a 3D view of that map item. I need this map image to be inside a block or container that is scrollable (left, right, up, down) and zoomable.
I bet this could be done in javascript or jquery somehow. I'm building the map interactions in Adobe Edge Animate, but I have the creative cloud and could use some other program if necessary. Now Paste in Front (Ctrl+F). Depending on your Paste Remembers Layers setting, you may have to bring the newly pasted copy to the front, or to the upper layer.
Draw a shape over the image to define the portion of it you want to appear "in front."
With the shape and the image selected, clip the image using the shape. (Object > Clipping Mask > Make) -
How can I make an image appear partially in front and partially behind another layer?
I have a drawn vector image that is behind a layer with a stroked ellipse like this:
However I need just one part of the image to appaer in front of the stroke. In this image I need the paw on the right to be in front of the stroke but I need the other leg to be covered by the stroke:
I'm guessing I need to somehow make a copy of just the paw and place it on a layer above the layer with the stroke in order to achieve this effect however I don't know how to do that in Illustrator. Any help would be appreciated.What program was the artwork created in and what version of Illustrator are you using? ALWAYS provide this information first so we know what features you have available.
If everything is native Illustrator artwork, then you can probably copy the portion of the paw you want outside the circle and use a PathFinder command to merge that shape with the circle, then put the resultant shape behind the artwork.
