Can I make any hardware upgrade to make my Mac Pro1,1 compatible with OS X Mavericks?

I have got a Mac Pro1,1 Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 2,66 GHz, 11 Gb RAM running OS X 10.7.5.
I would like to know if there is any chance to make any hardware upgrade to make my Mac Pro compatible with Mavericks, maybe a Processor upgrade.
I miss all the synchronization features, iMessage and all the goodies Mavericks brought

I'm sorry you can't. Because it has a 32bit EFI. To run Mountain Lion or Mavericks the Mac needs a 64bit EFI.

If you are the account owner you can go to the My Verizon web portal http://www.verizonwireless.com
You must log in with your cell number and your my Verizon portal password. Not the account pin.
Once there you can change your plan and services. However repeated incorrect login attempts will lock you out of the site. It a fraud prevention measure.
1-800-922-0204 call support with your cell number and or account number and account pin and they can assist you.
If you don't have the information then there is nothing they can do.
If you can verify who you are they may be able to reset your account access. But only if you are the account owner.

Once you have all your VHS tapes on your iMac, you can edit them with iMovie and iDVD to burn them.
You can also use VisualHub to directly convert and burn to DVD -

Not possible. You need to update to v10.6.8
Click your Apple menu > Software Update
Or update using the this download > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo

You can buy any disk with FireWire, Thunderbolt or USB. If you've got a 2010 or early MacBook Pro, buy a FireWire disk, or if you've a newer computer, a Thunderbolt disk. They'll be faster than the USB, but you can buy an USB hard disk

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Can I get an older version of an app that is compatible with my IOS? I understand that time marches on, and I'll miss out on newer apps and features, but there really should be a way to get the latest app that is available for your specific IOS. I think this is the one thing that makes me seriously consider dropping iPhone for Android/Google/Windows.
Thanks for the quick reply Niel! Well, I followed your instructions, and since it is an Apple App (Podcasts), they don't allow the older version evidently. It just grinds my gears. I get that it is no longer supported, and it may not work with newer podcasts, but let me deal with it not working on everything. As it is, it won't play anything since I can't download it! Yes. You can install v12 on as many machines as you like, but only two can be activated at any one time. You should not be using them concurrently.

If you are lokking for loopholes or workarounds - they don't exist. Your only option is to buy a new license of Acrobat XI. Of course, depending on what functionality you need, there are enough alternative, cheaper tools to create and edit PDFs or even free tools. Most of them won't deal with forms or otehr advanced features, though, but as long as you only want to convert your Word files to PDFs, the'll do the trick and you don't need Acrobat.

Just upgraded to Lion, can't open any pdf file downloaded from the internet that was fine with Leopard before. I just got a black screen when I clicked on a pdf icon on a given internet site, and same happened with several sites that I visited. How can I overcome this obstacle ?
Try two things with Safari not running:
1) Launch Adobe Reader, open its preferences, select the Internet category, and check the values under "Display PDF in browser using". If it's checked, try unchecking it.
2) Look in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins (at the top-level of your boot volume) for something names AdobePDFViewer.plugin. If you see such a file, try moving it to a folder named "Disabled Plug-Ins" (if such a folder exists) or onto the Desktop.
Then see how things work. -

I can't open any web pages from nasa.gov in Safari (3.0.4) or Firefox on my Mac. I have no problems on other web sites on my Mac and I can open the nasa.gov pages on the Windows machine at work using Safari, Firefox, and IE.
Anyone else have this problem?Most likely what happened was an Internal issue at Nasa. I noticed he same thing, but this is not a safari problem , it was a server or network issue at Nasa.gov It's happened before.
In This case certain servers were taken offline. Possibly for maintenance. -

Any one know why ?Try a reset: Simultaneosuly hold down the Home and On buttons until,themiPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Then restart the iPad using the on button.

Our online church management software is compatible with Firefox 5 but not Firefox 6. I just got a new laptop and downloaded Firefox 6. When I found out it didn't work with 6 I found a download for 3.6. Now I'm getting messages from other sites (Quickbooks online) that they won't support 3.6 much longer and I need to upgrade to Firefox 5 or higher. So I have to go up to 5 but below 6. so getting a copy of Firefox 5 is my only option. Please send me a link to download Firefox 5.
There are parts of the CMS that don't work with Firefox 6. They do in IE and Chrome but I much prefer Firefox. Until they get their CMS updated to work with version 6, I need to go back to 5. And I can't undo the upgrade because I have a new laptop and the only options to load were Firefox 6 or Firefox 3.6

Nikon D600 Issues with Lightroom 4.3.
