I have been playing with template 1 and loving it, What i was wondering is can i make the "content" portion of the web page like a hit screen of sorts I would like the buttons up top to change the content portion

You are going to have to be a little more specific. What is "template 1"? Is this online from a tutorial? Where is it?

How can I make a navbar in my template and have it editable so It can have an image in the down state on each page?

I want to make a navbar in my template to base all my webpages on,
but when I looked in Dreamweaver CS4 help the comments said navbars were obselete and that I should use swap image behavior.
There was a tutorial linked about how to make the button stay in down position on each page but there was nothing written about how to do this when each page will be based on the template.
I read somewhere that if i were to make the navbar in my template and set it as an editable region some of the stuff that would need to be changed to make the buttons in the down position on the pages made from the template would be outside of the editable region.

I have uploaded photos from the past and they are grouped by dates. How do I seperate those photos into their own folder/album so that I can easily identify the contents. Also, what is the difference between Album, Smart Album and folders?

As a result, there are many events grouped into one library/event/folder/album (not sure of the proper terminology) I'd like to separate them into folders/albums/smart albums so that I can easily identify the contents. How do I do that and do I delete the originals?

as to organization - events are generally time based and are the basic automatic organization - you can merge and split them to make them work better for you but they are not a good way to do detailed organization - best to leave them time based
albums are logical things that contain photos and are just pointers to the photo in the event so they take no extra space and all changes to a photo anywhere are reflected everywhere
Smart albums are the same except they are automatically filled based on the criteria you set when you create them
Folders are containers that you create and a folder can contain albums, smart albums or other folders so they are a big help in organization - like a vacation folder that holds folders for France, USA, China with each of thos folders holding albums of photos from the country

Can someone tell me how I can see my content (artwork and text) after I import it into LiveCycle Designer ES4? I like to import and make the content of the original PDF document editable; preserves the pdf appearance and retains existing fields and formatting, then allow me to do the modifications and save it back into the original PDF document with changes. I have tried everything but still cannot see my content(artwork and Text) of my original PDF after importing it into LiveCycle. All I see are is a blank page with the formatting and layout of where my artwork and text should be. I like to see everything if possible so after I make my change I will know how it will look when I save it back into the PDF and open it in Acrobat Reader.

How can I get the content of a text element to insert in a different block

I have two blocks. The first one (block_control) is a non based block with a text element (EXERCICE). When I go to the second block (block_data) and I want to insert a new record, I need in my record the value of EXERCICE who is in the first block (block_control). How can I get this balue if I want to be able to do an execute_query too on the second block ? Because if I use pre-block or post-block or when-new-record-instance trigger to make the content of EXERCICE follow from block_control to block_data in a hidden field, I can't execute_query.

First , when you want to insert a record in the second block , override the default commit_form processing and create a commit-form trigger which is called by a button to commit your form. The when-button-pressed trigger of this button should be : do_key('commit_form'); . And you create the key-commit trigger on the second block. Inside the key-commit trigger write this :
:second_block.item_name := name_in('block_control_name.exercice');
commit_form;
In this way you get the exercice data into your record.
Secondly, in the post-query trigger of the second block, set the exercice column of the second block to the exercice column of the block_control.
And that's it.

How can I make the text vertical in numbers? I have merged the cells and cannot find an option for making it go vertical as opposed to horizontal.

How can i compare the contents of two folders ?

how can i compare the contents of two folders and find out which files are in one but not in the other?? Knowing how to do this would be the best thing ever, especially when dealing with a large number of files. Often, for instance, I'm dealing with a large number of images, processing them, and saving the retouched ones to a new folder, and need to check that they are all there. If there are say three files missing in the second folder (out of say a hundred in total) being able to automate the process of elimination would be very useful. Please help!!!

I really wish I knew the answer to this. I work between two macs, a G5 and MacBook Pro when I'm on the go. Each time I move from one to the other I have to copy all my files to the computer I'm going to work on, so I end up with the same files being duplicated. It's not a problem if it's not much data but in my case the it can be to 30GB, mostly graphics files, photoshop, motion, final cut pro, etc.
There's has got to be a way automator can make a comparison between two folders to sort out what's changed and what's remained the same. It would be nice also if this feature could be done globally on the hard disk using spotlight's technology to stop files being duplicated in places you didn't even know about and taking up valuable disk space. I'm not sure how this could be done.

It is possible if you are using the XMLType operators available in 9i. A short article describe this approach http://otn.oracle.com/products/oracle9i/daily/nov30.html
Now, if you are not using 9i you can still do it but at the application level. You need to get a "chunk" of the document and then perform
substring searching to extract the content of the title tag.
