I would like to leap to OS X Lion, and have two Macs at OS X v10.5.8.
1. Do I have to purchase OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, and then purchase OS X 10.7 Lion?
2. Do I have to do this twice? i.e. separately for each Mac?

In Spry menu, can I make the dropdown colors different from the main one?

In this menu at the link, I would like to keep "who we are" in the color it is, but make its submenu colors different. I can't see to find in the CSS where to do that without changing both the main and sub menu colors.

Based on the default Spry menu code you are correct that it is all or nothing. The only alternative you could do is create your own custom CSS class to use on all sub-menu items on the drop-down to override the colors. This declaration would need to be after the Spry submenu one that you have found because the browsers will read CSS from start to finish so the later declarations will override the earlier ones.

Resetting the password you will need to do for each device... the utility cannot even see those old units.
So you will have to do it for each one.. think it through.. because as you change passwords the others will lose connection.. so start from the express which are wireless extending .. change those first.. and go back up the chain.. as each one changes it will drop off the network.. until you reach extreme and change that. Then you might need to reboot the whole network to get everything talking again. If something goes wrong.. just pluck that one out of the mix and plug in ethernet.. reset and redo the setup. That is my preferred method anyway.. do everything in isolation one by one. By ethernet and then nothing goes wrong.

You cannot partition a network disk. And apple provided no tools for it in the TC itself. You can pull the disk out and partition it but that voids your warranty. (although done with care who is to know).

Looking to make the leap from Windows XP Media Center 2005 to a new Operating system that supports Microsoft Publisher 2002, Word 2003, Excel 2003, Power Point 2000 and Picture Manager 2003. Need to make the leap since some of my other software is requiring

Ready to Make the Leap

I've been a Windows user for quite some time, however, I've finally decided to make the leap to the Mac. Looking seriously at the Mac Mini - should suffice for home use, mainly internet browsing, word processing and music management (iTunes). For what I've described, would the base Mac Mini suffice? I already have the keyboard, mouse and monitor from my Dell.
One more question: Is there a simple way to "move" my iTunes music library from the Dell computer to the Mac without having to burn every file onto CDs?

"First thing you're going to have to do is figure out a data route. Although you can technically use CDs or DVDs, in order to best transfer all data, including playlists and ratings, you'll want another method.
If you have a network set up, you're good to go.
An external hard drive will work as well, just remember that Windows won't read a Mac formatted disk. The iPod is also an external hard drive, and can be used in the same way.
Once you have the method set up, you're going to have to prepare iTunes.
Open iTunes for Windows, and hit Edit>Preferences>Advanced, and make sure that the folder listed is \My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music.
Next, hit Consolidate Music Library. This action is irreversible, and it will make sure that all of your music is put in the aforementioned 'iTunes Music' folder. Shut iTunes, and move on.
Now you're going to have to move the info to the Mac. If you have an external hard drive, drag the iTunes folder, located within My Documents\My Music onto it. If you have a network set up, copy the iTunes folder to a location that can be accessed by the Mac.
Now, on the Mac, open either the external HDD, or the network folder, and copy the folder iTunes to the Home/Music folder.
Start up iTunes on the Mac, and everything should be in place.
Cleaning up
If you have music purchased from the iTunes Music Store, you're going to have to authorize your Mac. If you're not going to be using your Windows machine for iTMS songs anymore, you may want to deauthorize it. If you're not going to be using the Windows machine for music, you can safely delete the music from it, as it is now on the Mac. However, unless it is actually bothering you there, there's no reason to do so. Redundancy is great for data.
About an iPod:
First, an Apple doc about using the iPod to switch. It has some great info about moving your documents, emails, etc. However, the method of music transfer there doesn't save most of your library data.
Second, you may want to reformat your iPod for the Mac. The advantage, basically, is some transfer speed. The disadvantage is Windows' inability to read Mac disks without 3rd party software. Lizardcarter's instructions are correct, you can (and possibly should) consider a second external HD to create a bootable clone. Redundancy in backups is a very good thing because backup can fail too. A bootable clone is an external HD that has a mirror of your internal HD so if the internal HD does crash you can boot from the clone, something that cannot be done from TM. This means you will be down for minutes and can resume work until you have had the internal HD replaced. Never use an external HD for both TM and a bootable clone, each should have it's own EHD. The reason being is if the EHD crashes you have lost ALL of your backup and are dead, don't laugh it happens! To create a bootable clone get either SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner (both about $30) and you're pretty set. Many people on these forums (including myself) use that strategy and yes I have had a backup fail.

Additional information from Linc's post. Basically, only one additional partition can be added to a Fusion Drive and it resides on the HDD.

If you would like to move your source models, target models and project contents from Work repository 1 to another work repository.
I.e. Dev. server to Prod Server.
1. Firstly, replicate the master repository connections i.e. with same naming conventions manually
2. Go to Dev. Server work repository -> File Tab -> Click on Export work repository (save it in a folder)
3. After exporting, you can view the xml files in the folders.
4. Now, Open the Prod. server and make sure you already replicated mas. rep. details.
5. Now, right click on model and import source model in synonym mode insert_update (select source model from the folder where your xml file located)
6. Similarily, import again target then Project.
Now, check. It should work.
