Can I merge a call coming in on my Skype Number wi...

So if I have a skype conversation with somebody else via the internet, and someone calls me on my Skype Number from his/her fixed or mobile phone, should I be able to merge the two calls into one conference call with the 3 of us?
(Yesterday this failed so I am not sure if this is supported)

How can I merge phone Calls and make conference calls with iOS 8.1.1 and hang up on one instead of both of them , it's not giving me an option like before on iOS 7 ?

The following from the 8.1 user manual (http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf) may help
Create a conference call. While on a call, tap Add Call, make another call, then tap Merge Calls. Repeat to add more people to the conference.
Drop one person: Tap  next to a person, then tap End.
Talk privately with one person: Tap , then tap Private next to the person. Tap Merge Calls to resume the conference.
Add an incoming caller: Tap Hold Call + Answer, then tap Merge Calls.

  • Calls not being forwarded to skype number

Hello, I have had my Skype number for 2 years now and never had a problem. However since end of November 2012 calls from the USA are no longer being forwarded to my cellphone in Germany. No , I have not changed my settings , why should I , since it has been working perfectly all these years. There is no way to get help from Skype and I am extremely frustrated with their service. It sucks to pay for a product that won´t work.I am a dissatisfied customer and will leave them if they do not straighten out their stuff.

Hello, I have been a SKYPE user for the past 5 years and everything has been working fine.  Recently, calls from telephones to my skype number are not being forwarded to my designated number.  I've tried to turn off and on forwarding feature but still not working. Calls from other skype contacts using skype calling me are forwarded but not from any landline or mobile contacts calling my skype number.
What happens when you call your Online Number?
If calls directly from other Skype users are being forwarded to your designated number, but not the calls made to your Online Number, call-forwarding appears to be working.  You may have a different issue related to your Online Number. Has it expired?  If you click on "Account" at the top of this page, you can verify that your Online Number is still in effect by clicking on "Online Number" once you log into your Skype account through that link.
If your Online Number is still in effect, here's something else to check.  From a computer (not the Skype app on a mobile phone or other device), can you verify the Privacy setting for Online Numbers?  It should be set to allow calls from anywhere.  If not, it is possible that this setting was changed, preventing you from getting calls on the Online Number.

  • Incoming calls from telephones to my skype number drop after 3-5 seconds

Incoming calls from telephones to my skype number drop after 3-5 seconds
I spent a while trying to seriously diagnose this problem with Skype support a year ago, but didn't get anywhere; I came to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the network at my end. But it's irritating me again now, so I thought I'd check whether anyone else gets this problem. It's incoming calls only, to the skype number only. I can recieve incoming calls from Skype fine, I can make outgoing calls to Skype and to telephone numbers fine, the problem affects both Skype on my Android Mobile (when it's connected to my home WiFi) and Skype on my Windows Desktop - so, not a software configuration thing.
When making a test call from my mobile to my Skype In number, it drops at the Skype end several seconds before the mobile notices the line is dead; definitely dropping out at the Skype level, and not the telephone network level.

Hi, ScottMaggie, and welcome to the Community,
I have referred your report to those to whom I report; I am not affiliated with Skype Customer Service.
What you so well describe here, a number transfer (highlighted by me in orange type) is not something Skype has the facility to do:
None would agree to moderate between myself and the current number holder to do a transfer. If that person simply gives up the number it would be a 90 day wait with no way to guarantee I'd get the number back. They need to do a transfer as this is the only way to make it work. I have no way to contact them aside from calling the number and leaving voicemails.
In the system's simplicity, there is no flexibility.
Just out of curiosity ... and curiosity alone, have you checked the e-mail address on your account to double-check it is the correct registered e-mail address?  I ask because I recently did a Skype Number renewal, and I received e-mail alerts every step of the way.
    Best regards,
    Elaine

  • Someone called my cell from my skype number

At 6 am today, I received a call from my Skype number on my cell phone. My Skype number showed under caller ID. I did not make the call as I was sleeping and was very surprised to see my Skype number on the caller ID. The only way I can figure this could happen is someone has my Skype Login and they know it belongs to me since they also had my cell phone to call. I didn't answer the phone at 6 and probably should have.
Does anyone have any idea how someone made this call? Has my account been hacked?

Just checked my skype account and it appears it was a forwarded call. I'm assuming someone/something called my skype-in number.
If I look at my usage, and then select "Show" "Call forwarded" I see a call yesterday referenced as "This call was forwarded from unknown"
Still strange that on my cell it shows up as my skype alias.

  • Call forwarding from an international Skype number

Ok so here is my setup. I live in Ottawa, Canada and I have an Australian Skype number. What I want to know is, if I put a forwarding number on my australian Skype number to a landline Canadian number and someone from Canada tries to call my Australian Skype number, what rate are they charged when they connect to my forwarded Canadian number and what rate is my Canadian number charged?

To make sure you should contact AT&T but if you set up call forwarding to an international number, you will be the one charged for the international call since your account/phone is dialing the final number.
Again, find out for sure from AT&T who gets the charge.

  • Can you route fax calls coming in to another system

    Hi all
We have an issue whereby we have some fax numbers that come in on one of our ISDN's but these devices are on another site.
we have call manager on the main site where the numbers come in, then these fax numbers need to route to another telephone system via a gateway.
We ran a test and we can hear the fax coming in, but it beeps and never completes.
can the call manager route these type of calls to another pbx ? if so do i need to check anything ?
    cheers
    Carl

Standardize on one faxing protocol, ideally protocol based T.38 across all systems. Fax relay is Cisco proprietary and will not work well with other systems.

  • I can't merge the call in 3g.It was on hold .what to do merge that calls

    Hi,
I cant merge call for conference.I dialed one call and added another call if I selected merge call it had go to  hold.Any one please give solution for this.

This usually means that your carrier has not enabled conference calling on your account. You need to contact the carrier to provision this feature. You many also have to enable Call Waiting on the phone in Settings/Phone.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT) as you start iTunes, then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

  • My Skype number is calling people

    Hi,
I got many complaints that my number is bothering people repeatedly for the last 2 weeks.
Is there something I can do?

I have the same problem. People call me back on my skype number and ask if I have called them, when I have not done so. Has anyone have any idea why this is happening?

  • Illegal use of my skype number to make calls

Can anyone use your Skype number to make calls?  I had a return call today from someone I do not know and they were returning a call they said I made earlier today and this person had my Skype number correctly. How can someone, or anyone for that matter, use my Skype number to make calls?  Is there a way to stop that? Anyone with an answer, please respond.

Well, as I mentioned before, if it's a HH2 and the rear of it is in view of the public, then every Thomas, Richard and Harry will be able to see the wireless key and make full use of the Internet.
    Hi.
Although possible, that's not entirely true. If the user has altered the wireless key, then viewing the back of the hub will not help
But how many out there in BT land actually do change it?
BT only prompt the user to change the default admin password if and when they first access the hub.
At least BT thought about the label design on the HH3, keeping it hidden until needed.
I reckon hardly anyone would change the wireless key to be honest , but I wonder how many leave them in a window ...

  • Skype number not displaying correctly with Caller ID

Hello, I have had my Skype number for several years and it's been no problem for those with Caller ID to have my Skype number displayed when receiving a call from me.  However, the past few months this has changed dramatically.  Now, my Skype number is NEVER displayed when calling someone and in fact, most of the time it displays numbers or even names randomly which have zero relation to myself or my number.  Other times, the users Caller ID will display "Skype User".  Why has this suddenly happened and what can be done to ensure that it's corrected and working properly again?
My account is indeed configured to display my Skype number (as it has been for several years), but this has no longer has any bearing whatsoever on the number displayed when I call someone.  I have found that some people are no longer accepting my calls since they have no idea that I am the one calling them.
This is happening when I call numbers in the U.S. and sometimes Canada and does not matter where my physical location is - if I am in the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc, the result is always the same - my number is NOT displayed.
If anyone could offer some advice which would take care of this, I would be most appreciative. Thank you, Greg

Yes, I have read that FAQ and I realize Caller ID does not work for all countries.  But that same FAQ indicates that Caller ID is available for the U.S.  And this is where I make the majority of my calls.  However, as I mentioned in my original post, my Caller ID has NOT been displayed for several months.  What is displayed are randomly changing phone numbers and names that have no bearing whatsoever with anything related to my actual Skype number or name.  I've done my own testing when calling my home phone from Skype.  I'll call multiple times in quick succession and I will get different results each and every time.  The last six calls to my home from my Skype number resulted in the following results: Number displayed not related to my Skype number (different area code entirely)A completely diferent number displayed not related to my Skype number (again, different area code entirely)Name displayed which is not a name I have ever been acquainted with beforeA completely diferent number displayed not related to my Skype number (again, different area code entirely)"Skype User" displayedA completely diferent number displayed not related to my Skype number (again, different area code entirely) If Caller ID is no longer offered in the U.S. the Caller ID FAQ should be updated to reflect this change.

  • Caller identification while using Skype Number

Hi, I live in Canada and set up a Skype Number locates in HongKong to make my friends call me more easily. But soon I found that I could not identify who is the caller when someone is calling my Skype Number.
    For instant,
When I log off the Skype App and use "Call Forward" function of Skype, if someone calls my HK's Skype Number, it always displays "+10000123456" and I cannot know who is the caller except I pickup the phone.
While if I run the Skype App in the backgourd of my cell phone, and someone calls my Skype Number, the skype app will pop up but only shows "Unknow Number"
Could you give me some advice to solve this problem?
    Thanks

There may not be much that can be done.  Caller ID from the telephone network to your Skype Number is controlled by the telephone carrier(s) where your Skype Number is located (Hong Kong). Not all carriers in all countries send Caller ID information to the Skype Number.  When your friends in Hong Kong call each other on their phones, do they see the Caller ID information on those calls?  This may not help your situation when receiving calls on your Skype number, but would at least verify that your friends' phones are sending the Caller ID information out when they call someone.
    Good luck!

  • Skype number forwarding to mobile costing to much each receiving call??

Hi, I brought a skype number, I only want to use it for receiving incoming calls.. I do not wish to call anyone on my skype number.. But I've been having to buy credit a few times now because each time someone calls my skype number & i have it so it forwards to my mobile phone it's costing me to much ? Is there a cheaper way I can have my Skype number & receive incoming calls forwarded to my mobile phone? When I answer not on Skype, iPhone mobile phone number I pick the call from?? I subscribed to something I thought was it but I was rong because I still have no credit to receive calls to my mobile phone?
Can someone help me please ?

    Hey, Mell.johns
    Welcome to the Skype Community!
To better understand your inquiries, let me re-word your questions and then attempt to answer it.
Q: Is there a cheaper way to receive incoming calls from my Skype Number on my mobile phone?
A: Sure, you can answer calls from your iPhone for no additional charge by using Skype for iPhone! Sign in and your calls will ring there at the same time your computers signed onto Skype would!
Q: When I'm not on Skype, can I pick the call up from my iPhone mobile number?
A: Yes, but that requires Skype Credit or a calling subscription for calling out. Again, picking up from the iPhone app won't cost you more.
If these questions & answers do not satisfy you, please attempt to re-explain your questions in further detail so that we could try this again!
