Can I merge an earlier backup profile with a current one?

My PC had a big outage that required reinstallation of Windows 7. In the rush to get things restarted I re-entered email account details which started a new profile. I have a profile from before the outage and like to recover addresses and messages from that into the new profile. Can this be done and if so what is the process? I want to keep the contents of both profiles.

I can't seem to merge a redundant contact list with a current one. If I delete the redundant contact list I will lose all of my contacts that I have (still) been inadvertently adding using this as my default contact list.

When I was working with my old job I had a contact list on my phone that was associated with my job's personal email address. Now that I have a new mac and am now a new full time student I would like to use my new uni email address as my default contact list. I have now made this change but have only just realised that I have been adding contacts for a period of months using this now redundant list.
When I sync my computer with my phone (which is working great using iTunes), I am unable to get all of my recent contacts.
I have three groups:
"All contacts" - I understand this is all of my contacts on my phone
"All from My Mac" - This is my new list and constitutes around 80% of my contacts
"Contacts" - This is the old list from my previous employer and contains (I think) 100% of my contacts. Well all of my useful ones anyway - maybe 99%. I would like to delete this group as I don't use the email address anymore and don't work for them!
The end result that I am looking for, is a complete list of ALL of my contacts synced with my computer in Outlook, and to be able to delete my old work contact list!
Please help (you bunch of legends).

Launch iTunes on your computer.
From the menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer, launch iTunes.
Click Store > Check for Available Downloads...

Are the usernames the same - e.g. is it [email protected] and [email protected] or is it [email protected] and [email protected]?
If the former, they are the same thing, part of the same account, and deliver into the same inbox.
If they are different then either
a) One of them is an 'alias' on the same account and delivers into the same inbox, or
b) You have two separate iCloud accounts.
In the latter case you cannot move an address from one account to another; in the other cases they are already 'merged'.

You can't merge comments using any of the Acrobat.com online services (ExportPDF, Adobe PDF Pack, and so on). But you can with an Acrobat subscription. Please see Adobe Acrobat X Standard * Publish comments from other reviewers from instructions.

It seems that you have to choose one or the other, keep iMAcc addresses or iPhone.

Indeed you can merge the address book using iCloud. You can find the info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998. I am not sure if you can de-duplicate though.
If that doesn't work or you want more out of your address book, you can always try connex.io (I work for the company). It's a service that automatically syncs, deduplicates, cleans and updates your address book across many different devices and services. Are you talking about Time Machine backups on a Time Capsule?
It is fine to delete the backup as long as you are sure there is nothing you want.. and do a new clean backup. That will be the least possible space usage for a working backup.. Never delete files out of an existing backup.. it is very hard to manually delete files in the backup.
We do not recommend it.

All apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and is not transferable.
Delete app and download app with your new Apple ID.

You have to restore the first backup to your phone, then save whatever data you can from it to your computer before restoring the second backup. For example, you can save recovered camera roll photos and videos by importing them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. You can back up any recoverd contacts using an app such as My Contacts Backup. You can open notes and email them to yourself. You can do the same thing with Voice Memos.
In other words, you have to save the recovered data before restoring the second backup because each backup will overwrite whatever data is on the phone.

How can I replace a *.default profile with a new one?

I had several problems with a laptop being infected with malware. As a result FireFox would not open and thus I couldn't export the bookmarks before reformating the drive. Before reformatting the drive I copied the FireFox files in user/appdata/mozilla/firefox/ both the Local and Roaming subfolders to another drive. I installed FF 4 after the reformat, replaced the *.default files in the new profile with those I saved from the old installation and got the error message " . . all ready running."
