Can I mirror what's on my iMac screen to the Apple TV?
I'm thinking about buying an Apple TV but I want to know if I will be able to mirror what's on my iMac screen to my TV in the living room. (Ex: show a webpage on my tv.)

No, you can't currently do that from your mac/pc, without resorting to 3rd party software which is so unstable I wouldn't wish to recommend it.

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button. -

Not currently. Mountain Lion will bring this functionality, provided your iMac is Mid 2011 or later, when it releases later this month.

i've tried to set up a new user on a mac book pro and i restarted it to create the new account but now all i can get is a white screen with the apple logo and the loading symbol what can i do ?

My mac doesnt start. All i get is the gray screen with the apple and the loading icon but nothing more happens. I tried to start it in safe mode but it doesnt help. What can i do?
If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.

My Macbook aliminium unibody from late 2008 will not boot. I reach the grey screen with the apple icon and the spinning grey gear. I used disk utility to boot it but it said integrity test failed. I don't know what to do can anyone please help?
Sounds like you may have a harddrive issue. You are probably going to need to get that changed out and then install the OS X again to get it going.

my macbook pro will not boot. It gets the grey screen with the apple until the bar is half way across and then shuts down. The only screen I can get to is in safe mode and I don't know what to do with that

I can start my iPod but it will only stay on the Apple icon screen for 5 minutes and then shuts off, what do I do to fix this problem?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I'm struggling to. I can control the AppleTV (current gen) from my iPad 2, either using Remote to directly access it or to play the library on my MacBook, but when I go into the iPod app, select the AppleTV, and try and play my iPad's content via the AppleTV, nothing comes out. I did notice that when I tried, I was not ask for the password I has set on the AppleTV. I've since removed it and still no joy.

my iPhone fell in the pool, I tried the whole rice thing. & It seems to only turn on show the black screen with the apple & some white lettering on top of the apple. What else can I do to get my iPhone to work again?
Time to take it to Apple and pay for an out of warranty replacement.

You can only get help from those people who told you to modify the software, only they know what the jailbreak did to the firmware. -

The "playhead indicator" is a twofold tool. Click on the "clock" icon and it switches to Project Length:
You can click and drag on the time clock to increase the project length if you need to see what's going on beyond your Play Range.
The image below is an overview of parts. The Timeline view is opened to reveal layer timing.
The "mini timeline" (the bar under the canvas above the clock) shows the entire project length. Usually that's the same length as the default Play Range. Use the play head clock to add more time if you need to reveal longer media "tails". You will not change the Play Range by doing so (you'll have to do that "manually"). You can even Share/Export your project with respect to Play Range as opposed to Project Length (there's a drop down option for that upon export.)
If you're creating a template, FCPX only "sees" the play range.
It's not a cool one-click option... it's just the way it is in Motion. -
What could be wrong with my iMac? When switched on the screen displays the apple logo with a busy bar at the bottom of the screen. This displays the progress of the computer trying to do something. To fill the bar takes about 30 mins and then switches off
