Can I Modify headings style of a report

Hi:
I have a report one of its column has small width in value but long width in heading name.... which makes the column wide.
suppose this report
aaaa bbbb ddddddddddd
1234 666 1
1234 666 2
1234 666 3
1234 666 4
1234 666 5
See the point, the column ddddddddddd has a big heading name but small values and it takes place for nothing..
So can I make the heading in small font or size,,,,,
WITHOUT affecting the values....
DO NOT say rename the heading.....
Thanks

Hello,
The change Denes is suggesting is in your theme CSS file, and not in your report template. The CSS file is part of your server OS file system, in the specific theme directory you are using. E.g. if you are using theme 1, the CSS file will be in the /i/themes/theme_1/ directory.
Changing the original theme CSS file is not advised. If you choose to use Denes solution, you should define your own CSS file, and load it in your page template.
Bear in mind that changing a predefined class attribute (in the original or your own CSS file) will change all the report headings, in all the pages of all the applications that use this theme. If you want to make more local change (e.g. in a specific report ) you can define your own class, with the attributes you need, and apply it to your own report template, which you should duplicated from an existing one.

Arie.

    Ivrat, Thank you for your reply! This way can modify the name of UUT report certainly!
    But, it is difficult to me deal with deleting seconds when use functions(like SerachAndReplace) !
    In these days I also find another way to solve this problem and I think your way much better than mine! Can you show me more details about use functions to solve this problem!
    My way show as below:
    1.Find this file"SequentialModel.seq". The path is"C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2010\Components\Models\TestStandModels" .
    If you are using TS2012,the path is"C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2012\Components\Models\ModelPlugins\NI_ReportGenerator.seq"
    2.You can find "Determine Report File Path Expression"
    3.Use function Left(Time(),5)

  • In Address Book, how can i modify several contacts (several cards) at the s

    Hello,
    In Address Book, how can i modify several contacts (several cards) at the same time ?
    for exemple : I have 100 contact which live in Paris, I select all of them together, but when I put "Paris" in the field "city", it puts "Paris" only in the fisrt contact !
    how to edit several contact at a time ?
    And I would like to put some kind of "tags", or words, in "remark", also by selecting several contact and edit them together...
    Thanks by advance !
    Alexandre.

    Welcome to the discussions, Alexandre1975 et bonjour.
    Just using Address Book this can't be done, but if you are prepared to try a little Applescript it is easy. This script will set the city for example - but only if there is already an address.
    AK
    click here to open this script in your editor<pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:400px">tell application "Address Book"
    set ContactList to the selection
    repeat with ThisOne in ContactList
    set city of first address of ThisOne to "Paris"
    end repeat
    end tell</pre>
    (The recent upgrade to the discussions has disabled the link that allows direct opening of a script, so run Script Editor and copy in the script.)

  • How to modify standard or custom Interactive Reports

    Hello everyone!
    Is there a possibility to modify SAP standard Interactive Reports? Where can this be done?
    Also if I create a new custom Interactive Report using Wizard in WebUI I don't find any transaction where I can modify it. Should I use some SAP GUI transaction to do this? Or even BEX    Analyzer? Perhaps there is SAP Documentation about how to do it but I wasn't able to find it.
    Many thanks in advance for any help! Kind regards,
    Sasha

    Sasha
    To do this, you need to be logged in with the ANALYTICSPRO business role (standard). Once you access the web UI you will have the option to Search reports. Doing this will show you both the standard reports and the ones modified by you. If you want to modify the SAP delivered reports, select the report, click the Copy button and then rename it etc. You then walk through the wizard and make the changes you need.
    You can also modify the ones you created by clicking on Edit.
    Once you have created your new reports, go to t-code ordywb, then make sure the Show Custom Reports checkbox is clicked. This will show you the identifier for your custom report - this is what you put against your logical link in the nav bar profile to enable the users to run the reports.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can you modify the displayed columns on a Related Information List?

    How can you modify the displayed columns on a Related Information List? For example, how could you add the "Type" column to the List of columns displayed for Service Requests when you are viewing the Contacts Detail page?
    Thanks

    I'd have to say I think this is one of the biggest flaws in the OnDemand system currently. The solution I have come up with is to create reports and put them in webapplets showing the data I want to show. I have then removed the standard Related Info List Objects and added weblinks to create new records as the button on the List object is also gone.
    Keep in mind that doing this does slow things down a little, so it may not work if you have a big user base.

  • How to modify existing code of SQVI report?

    Hi Expert,
       There is a SQVI report which has already been created but we need to change the one for new requirement.
    is there any way to modify existing code for new requirement?
    Can we edit in abap workbench?
    Thanks & Regards
    Savita

    Savita,
    You can not modify SQVI system generated code. You need to go to SAVI change mode and make modifications. If your requirement is a sort of additional fields or inserting come code into the program , then SQVI is not the choice. You need to use Infoset Queries (SQ03, SQ02, Sq01).

  • [svn] 3148: You can now use CSS styles to set the default text format for TextView.

    Revision: 3148
    Author: [email protected]
    Date: 2008-09-08 15:01:15 -0700 (Mon, 08 Sep 2008)
    Log Message:
    You can now use CSS styles to set the default text format for TextView. It no longer has any formatting properties. It supports the entire set of Gumbo text format styles.
    SkinnableComponent and Group now also support all these styles. However, skins such as ButtonSkin, TextInputSkin, and TextAreaSkin continue for now to specify instance styles on their TextBox, TextGraphic, and TextView, in order to give them a Gumbo look rather than a Halo look. So if you try setting, for example, the fontSize on the Application, it doesn't yet affect the text format of a Button, TextInput, TextArea, etc. unless you remove the instance style in the skin.

  • Can I modify standard program RFASLD20?

    Hello experts,
    I Get the modification option when I try to change the program RFASLD20.  Can I modify the program?
    I actually need to change the program at the FM FI_PAYM_FILE_OPEN , to add the Code page (unicode system).
    Cheers,
    Balaji

    Hi Balaji,
    I've never had a problem with the modification assistant not working. To modify a standard SAP report, you need a modification key from OSS. You should always use the modification assistant to record your amendments. Think carefully about whether there is another way of acheiving what you want -- perhaps using SUBMIT...EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY, a couple of standard reports, and then merging them into yours.
    You could copy the standard report, and modify the copy, but then you put yourself outside of SAP's maintenance and bug-fix track -- you might end up having to re-copy to incorporate new features. I'd always recommend modification over copying.
    Thats all i can suggest........
    Let me know if you need some help.

    check the program,
    You can find the code in this program 'BCALV_FIELDCAT_TEST'

    This report allows to modify the fieldcatalog of a corresponding

    you call SET_READY_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY.
    Note also that not all scenarios can be tested since the output
    table does not comprise all fields to test available features
    of the fieldcatalog. Copy this program and extend the output
    table accordingly if you want to test such a special feature.

  • How can I modify the SQLQueryString at runtime? (VB6 Application, CR XI)

    I have created a report in Crystal Reports XI which uses a stored procedure to retrieve data. The report was created using our test database (AS/400 DB2) as its datasource. In our Visual Basic 6 application we want to be able to run against the production database. In the code a CRAXDRT.Report object is instantiated and the .rpt file is specified in the OpenReport command. I can see that the SQLQueryString property is {CALL "TESTSERV"."ABCLIB"."RPT_ONE_SP"}, where TESTSERV is the test machine, ABCLIB is the library (Default Collection property value in the connection properties which can be modified) and "RPT_ONE_SP" is the stored procedure name. If a change to the SQLQueryString is attempted an error is raised. Even if all connection properties are changed the stored procedure call still defers to what is specified in the call (from the .rpt file). Is there a workaround for this situation?

    Hi Daniel,
    You can't change the info directly in the SQL you have to use the .Location method. This will update the SQL and re-direct from your original server to the new server.
    Please read the info in the link Dan attached to is first reply. It will show you how to do this and it does work.
    Once you set all the logon info then use the .Verify method or Testconnectivity API to confirm it's going to the new Server. Then export the report to RPT format to confirm the new logon info is saved.
    Changing to SQL Server (OLE DB) at Runtime
    'Declare a Connection Info Object
    Dim ConnectionInfo As CRAXDRT.ConnectionProperties
    'Set the Connection Info to Connection Properties of u2018the table object
    Set ConnectionInfo = Report.Database.Tables(1).ConnectionProperties
    'Set the DLL name
    Report.Database.Tables(1).DLLName = u201Ccrdb_ado.dllu201D
    'Clear the ConnectionProperties collection
    ConnectionInfo.DeleteAll
    'Add the OLE DB Provider
    ConnectionInfo.Add u201CProvideru201D, u201CSQLOLEDBu201D
    'Add the physical server name
    ConnectionInfo.Add u201CData Sourceu201D, u201CServer nameu201D
    'Add the database name
    ConnectionInfo.Add u201CInitial Catalogu201D, u201CDatabase nameu201D
    'Add the user name
    ConnectionInfo.Add u201CUser IDu201D, u201CUser nameu201D
    'Add the password
    ConnectionInfo.Add u201CPasswordu201D, u201CPasswordu201D
    'Set the fully qualified table name if different from u2018the original data source
    Report.Database.Tables(1).Location = u201Cdatabase.owner.tablenameu201D

  • Can not change the field property - 10gR2 reports crashing on Linux :(

    All I want to do, is to change one field's property from NUMBER to DATE in the property palette. It does not allow me to do it (not east like forms). I can not change the field property - 10gR2 reports keep crashing on Linux :(
    I don't know if this is a Linux specific iDS issue, or a generic one.
    What are the proper steps to change one field (in my query, the field name is ptime, it was defined as a number field originally, and now I need to change it to DATE and apply the proper format mask). The matching database field definition was modified from number to date.
    very frustrating...
    Any input is appreciated.

    nop, did not change anything in the select statement at all. Just selected the related query under the data model (in the navigator), then selected the related query from within the property panel, connected to the db, then from the related navigor menu selected compile all, when the related query was highlighted (selected). Then I saved it, checked the groups, and bingo - the datatype was changed from number to date. Then I went to the related object under the page layout and applied the format mask (that was another funny story). And it worked. It is not as flexible as the forms for sure - pain in the a.. And I still don't know why Reports Builder keeps crashing on Linux - have no problems with Forms Developer on Linux at all. It is a certified RH platform with all the required libs, rpms, etc installed. I am certain it is not an installation issue. Maybe I should check Metalink and apply if an iDS 10gR2 patch exists for reports.

  • You can safely ignore some errors that fsck reports....?

    I got the following report while Verifying in DU after installing the latest Security Update 2009-001. I took every possible precaution: installed in Safe Boot from standalone download, repaired Permissions before and after, disconnected all peripherals and stood on my head.
    I repaired successfully, booted from the Disc. DU, while booted from the disc, saw the error too, so I know it wasn't a spurious error appearing only when booted from the HD. I'm wondering if there's anything here to be concerned about. I have never before had DU report the disc needed repair.
    (I also repaired a Permissions error while booted in Safe Mode, before doing any of this. This was strange, since I'd just done a Permissions repair only a few days earlier for the QT Update. I won't get into that now, since I my main concern is the Disc error, and I don't want to overload this post with too many questions).

    Both the Pogue, Missing Manual, Tiger, book and this KB article, report "Volume Bit Map needs minor repair" and "Invalid volume free block count " as "benign" errors, to be ignored.
    "You can safely ignore some errors that fsck reports when journaling is enabled."
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2028
    I've been looking into this on my own, but here's the source of my confusion: 1. The heading of the KB article says it is for 10.3.9 or earlier (the article was last modified August, 2008), but way down at the bottom, 10.4 is listed under "Products Affected." Is this just someone at Apple being sloppy? 2. Both the Pogue Tiger book p.778, and the KB article describe this as an error that can be reported while repairing using fsck. They don't mention errors reported by DU, which is how I got this error. But just to be certain, can I safely assume it would apply to errors reported by DU as well? They are, effectively, the same thing, aren't they?
    No strange sounds coming from the HD and everything seems to be fine. And no more reports of this kind coming from DU.

    OK. Thanks very much,
    My question arose because both the KB article and Pogue discuss these errors only in the context of running fsck. Since you say journaling is automatically turned off when DU does repairs, _does that, then, mean that these errors are only spurious when coming from fsck, not DU, because journaling is enabled in fsck? Journaling enabled is what causes them to appear in fsck?_ Is this why there's no mention of DU for these errors from the Apple KB article and Pogue? And does that mean that *if DU reports them, not fsck,* they are to be taken more seriously, that they are benign, meaning not very serious, but not to be dismissed completely as when they are reported by fsck?
    Yes, the errors are benign, but should not be ignored.
    I thought the KB article and Pogue were letting me off the hook completely. I see that's, maybe, not exactly the case.
    *I never ran fsck.* I did everything from DU, either booted from the HD or the Tiger Installer disc. Fsck only came up because I discovered this KB article and the Pogue excerpt, which made me think that, since fsck is essentially DU, but run from a command line, they applied as well to the errors DU found. I didn't realize that, maybe, journaling enabled in fsck was at the heart of this issue.
    As mentioned, I ran DU from the Tiger Installer disc and it repaired the error right away on the first run. I ran it twice just to be sure.
    If DU ran successfully but did not repair the problem, then run Repair Disk repeatedly until no problems are reported.
    There was no other problem, only the error DU reported, which was successfully repaired.
    DU is supposed to disable journaling before repairing the drive. But there's nothing wrong with disabling journaling manually before repairing the drive.
    Meaning I can't always assume it will? And, perhaps, it didn't this time and that's why I got the error?
    Everything seems fine now; I was just somewhat alarmed, since I didn't understand where this could be coming from. I'd already verified the disc, booted from my clone, very recently.

  • Can we use Dynamic SQL in Oracle Reports ?

    Hi ,
    Can we use Dynamic SQL in Oracle Reports ?
    If yes please give some examples .
    Thanx
    srini

    I believe the built-in package SRW.Do_Sql is what you are looking for
    Example from the document:
    /* Suppose you want to create a "table of contents" by getting the
    ** first character of a columns value, and page number on which its
    ** field fires to print. Assume that you want to put the "table of
    contents"
    ** into a table named SHIP. You could write the following construct:
    DECLARE
    PAGE_NO NUMBER;
    PAGE_FOR INDEX NUMBER;
    SORT_CHAR CHAR(1);
    CMD_LINE CHAR(200);
    BEGIN
    SORT_CHAR := :SORT_NAME ;
    IF :CALLED = Y THEN
         SRW.GET_PAGE_NUM(PAGE_FOR_INDEX);
         SRW.USER_EXIT(RWECOP PAGE_FOR_INDEX
         P_START_PAGENO);
         SRW.MESSAGE(2,TO_CHAR(:P_START_PAGENO));
    END IF;
    SRW.GET_PAGE_NUM(PAGE_NO);
    CMD_LINE := INSERT INTO SHIP VALUES
                          (||SORT_CHAR||,||TO_CHAR(PAGE_NO)||);
    SRW.MESSAGE(2,CMD_LINE);
    SRW.DO_SQL(CMD_LINE);
    COMMIT;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN DUP_VAL_ON_INDEX THEN
            NULL;
      WHEN SRW.DO_SQL_FAILURE THEN
            SRW.MESSAGE(1,FAILED TO INSERT ROW INTO SHIP TABLE);
      WHEN OTHERS THEN
           COMMIT;
    END;
