Can I modify the value of an enviroment entry for an EJB without having to re-deploy.

I wish to modify the value of an envrioment entry for an EJB. The entry already exists and has been created using
<env-entry>
<env-entry-name>myFlag</env-entry-name>
<env-entry-type>java.lang.String</env-entry-type>
<env-entry-value>true</env-entry-value>
</env-entry>
I can access the value using code similar to the following:-
InitialContext initialContext = new InitialContext();
String value = (String) initialContext.lookup("myFlag");
However if I try the following:-
InitialContext initialContext = new InitialContext();
initialContext.rebind("myFlag", "false");
I get an OperationNotSupportedException thrown.
Do I need to use LDAP directly (rather than through JNDI) to modify this value or is there another / better way? If I do need to use LDAP directly what would the code look like ?

As per J2EE specification:
Naming environment entries allow customization of a component during deployment or assembly without the need to access or change the component?s source code. The container implements the naming environment, and provides it to the component instance through a JNDI naming context.
The Deployer can modify values of environment entries that have been previously set by the Application Component Provider and/or Application Assembler.
Generally only those variables/properties are set in environment entries which are likely to be different on various Application server configurations/installations, so it is not required/advisable to change these entries programmatically. Any way iAS-6.0/6.5 doesn't support changing environment entries programmatically, it binds all the JNDI names during Server startup after reading it from the registry.
For your purpose you can use a boolean variable in your code to set your flag, and may be put it into session.

Can I just limit user can only modify the x value of a point?

In my effect, I add a point by using PF_ADD_POINT. But I just want user can only modify the x value, is this possible? How can I do it?

well, there's no switch you can flip to have such behavior, but you can:
1. supervise the param, so whenever the user changes the value you can keep
the X and restore the Y. (won't hold water in case of keyframing or
expression)
2. set an expression that would do the same.
3. check the param at some events (such as the render call), and modify the
keyframes and values if necessary. (won't handle expressions)
that's all i can think of.

Well, for more clearly! My problem is I must have the Unit Cost of Items, so I've got it in the cm_cmpt_dtl (table), but if I want to, I must create a relation that require 2 filed, they're Item_ID and Whse_Code.
There's no problem with Item_ID, but Whse_Code seem to be the Mission Impossible (hix, I hate that film!!!!)

Because the batch_no can be duplicated as we also create Batch and Filrm Planned Order.

I need to modify the price of an item in the contract (ME32K WK or MK) but it is grey (only in display). So I must do Item-Condition and then I can modify the price of the item.
Can you modify the price of a contract in the ME32K directly from the item screen?
I have try with several field selections but nothing.

MKK     Quantity contract (for MK)
WKK     Value Contract (for WK)

HI,
If you maintain any condition in the contract line item condition, like freight, discount etc. the landed price gets populated in the line item price field. So if you want to make any change in base price, it has to be changd in the line item condition.
This is because, You can maintain different validity period in condition and maintain different price in each validity period. So which price you want to pick? So the system captures the price from condition and populate it in the item price field depending on the validity period price.

My understanding of your requirement is like this: When you make a payment to a vendor, it will be credited in his bank account say 2 days after the payment is generated in your system. Say if you have generated a payment document on 24th March, it will be credited to the vendor account on 26 th march. and you want to maintain the value date as 26th march in your payment document.
If this is the requirement, maintain value date in FBZP settings, under bank determination, for the payment method/hosue bank and HB ID combination. You have to mention number of days to value date.

FB70: How t o modify the value of BSEG-XREF before posting?

I would like to know the correct way to modify the value of BSEG-XREF1 in FB70 (Prior to posting of document).
Currently, I have tried using substitution. First, I copied RGGBS000 into ZRGGBS000 AND added form u300, which will modify BSEG-XREF1. Second, I have added a step to an already existing substitution (COGS), which was set-up in transaction OBBH. I have assigned u300 to BSEG-XREF1 (Refernce Key 1).
The said step didn;t seem to work. I was able to post a document and then I displayed the document. Unfortuantely, BSEG-XREF1 hasn't been modified. So, I tried debugging the form U300. It doesn't stop inside that form, which means the logic that i put there was useless. By the way, the the formname that Im using can be found in two internal tables: (1) exits, and (2) etab.
Kindly advise on what to do. Thank you very much!

Hello Gurus, i am modifying the value of a certain cell in the internal table that is displayed in the ALV using the data_changed event, but when i refresh the ALV the values shown are the old ones.

Unfortunately you do not explain you scenario clearly enough. Therefore I must do some speculations.
You have an editable ALV list. The user can change data but not field USNAMECH which might be the user who changed the data.
A big question is how the CHECK_DATA_CHANGED event is raised. Perhaps you have registered the EDIT event (method REGISTER_EDIT_EVENT). Then the scenario would look like this:
1. User changes data and pushes the ENTER button.
2. Since the EDIT event is registered this triggers event CHECK_DATA_CHANGED.
3. In event handler method ON_DATA_CHANGED you enrich the changed data with the name of the current user.
4. And now you need to push this data back to your ABAP.
If this is your scenario then just trigger PAI from within your event handler method ON_DATA_CHANGED:

The following is part of my coding of a frame. Once i click on the jButton2, the selected value will be stored into a variable named NAME and the value will be displayed by a label in same frame. At the same time, a new frame named TESTING3 will be set to visible.

Thanks for direction. Let me give more context on this as I'm interested to get more details..One of the issue was to read cross entity field values on UI based on user action and set other entity field behaviour...It is similar to what is being posted here.
For ex: Reading MTART from Basic Data UIBB in MM MDG UI and set the field properties in some other custom entities say ZZETEST. This cannot be done using UI BADI as it only supports single entity at a time and not cross entity. So alternatively we found a solution where we can enhance existing PLMB feederclass cl_mdg_bs_mat_feeder_form by reading the model and the entity as needed as it it proved that it supports cross entity UI field behaviours and so business requirements.
This is a workaround for now.
So the question is How do we achive it using governance API for cross entity field behiaviours.?or what is the right way doing this.
Can we do that using governance API and its' methods?
In the Governance API doc you provided below has referring to below external model as part of gevernance API.

Hi, I would like to know how can i break the value for a row and column once i have converted the image to the array. I wanted to make some modification on the element of the array at a certain position. how can i do that?
At the moment (as per attachhment), the value of the new row and column will be inserted by the user. But now, I want to do some coding that will automatically insert the new value of the row and the column ( I will use the formula node for the programming). But the question now, I don't know how to split the row and the column. Is it the value of i in the 'for loop'? I've tried to link the 'i' to the input of the 'replace subset array icon' , but i'm unable to do it as i got some error.
Please help me!

Thanks for your reply.Sorry for the confusion.
I manage to change the array element by changing the row and column value. But, what i want is to allow the program to change the array element at a specified row and column value, where the new value is generated automatically by the program.
Atatched is the diagram. I've detailed out the program . you may refer to the comments in the formula node. There are 2 arrays going into the loop. If a >3, then the program will switch to b, where if b =0, then the program will check on the value of the next element which is in the same row with b but in the next column. But if b =45, another set of checking will be done at a dufferent value of row and column.
I hope that I have made the problem clear. Sorry if it is still confusing.
