Can I move pages/reorder page numbers by moving bookmarks?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and in a different version of Adobe I used to be able to renumber the pages by dragging and moving the bookmarks. I see that I can do this using the thumbnails but I can't see the content well enough in the thumbnail view to know which one to move.

fwiw - I've used each release of Acrobat since release "3". In no release has moving Bookmarks renumbered pages. As you've noted page numbering via PageLabel (from within the Pages panel) is doable - that's how it has been with each release.

Can't move jpg in pages

I try and drag a jpg to reposition it in Pages - it won't move - it will re-size, but I can not move it via drag and drop or with arrows on keyboard. It moves to the spot, but jumps back after I let go of it. Anyone know what's up with this? Have found iWorks counter-intuitive and difficult to pick up.

Does that error message say any more than "The document xxx can't be opened"? Do any Pages documents open or is it all of your previously created Pages documents? Have you tried opening a .txt (text) or RTF document with Pages?
With most programs, suddenly not functioning as it should is often a problem of corrupt preferences. Have you tried opening these Pages documents in another user account? If that works, the problem almost certainly is corrupt preferences in your user account. Go to HD > Users > [your account] > Library > Preferences & delete the com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist, empty the Trash & then restart Pages.

How can I move my web page to a site other than .Mac?

I've been using iWeb to create my school's website and I would like to expand it and move it to a different host under my new domain name. iWeb doesn't have an FTP client, so what options do I have? Can I somehow make iWeb direct my page to my new domain for uploading or would it be easier to start from scratch with some different software. I really like iWeb's flexibilty in creating just what I want. Any advice would be greatly apprecited.

downloaded firefox for mac os x. it asked if i wanted to import from safari during that process; i said yes. when i click on the firefox icon, none of the tags or bookmarks are there. moreover, the first step in the 8 step process (really??), is a article for windows, and i can't move from the page, no continue options or anything. extremely frustrating, and seems unnecessary; why does it give me windows info when i downloaded mac?

I have the same issues. I keep getting a "network error" even though my connections are fine. I have installed Bootcamp fine on another Macbook, but am having major issues with my brand new one. I have read the support forums where they say to keep trying because the servers are notoriously slow, but this seems a little ridiculous. Hope I can get some help as well.

Can't drag icons across pages

I uploaded all my iPhone apps and now I'm de-cluttering the mess. Few icons move across pages and the empty pages don't close. I can't move folders across pages at all. What trick am I missing?

It can be done, but from my personal experience it takes a special touch. An easier way would be to connect your iPad to iTunes, open the device, click on apps and you can use your mouse to drag icons from page to page and even create folders, by dropping one app into another (when you do, a name the folder bar opens as well).

I read through your post about how you are wondering how many 4x6 photos you can print from a memory card with full ink cartridges. This is a very tricky question because it does depend on the quality/DPI of the photos. I am going to link you to some more information so you can read on ink yields and cartridge information. There is really no exact amount I can answer you with due to those factors that come in to play when printing photos or even documents.

Reorder Page Numbers

Hey everyone,
First, I am one that is absolutely in love with CS4. The multiple pages are awesome and wonder how I got along with that feature until now. I do have a question about page numbering. As I duplicate and move around each page of a project, all the page numbers are now not in order like I would like. For example, the page that is supposed to be the "homepage" is page number 9... Is there a way to change page number 9 to page number 1 and so on? I have looked everywhere on the artboard tool but to no avail.
I realize I can probably copy and paste artwork from one page to another, but I have dozens.

I had the same problem today, but found that if you look in the Pages palette, above the spread symbols you may find a downward-facing triangle, denoting a new section.
If you see more sections than you expect, you need to delete the extra sections. To delete them, double-click that triangle, then uncheck the "Start Section" box, and you'll find page numbering working as planned.

As of about 2 weeks ago the mac users can no longer read the page numbers they get a font error message and see only -- where the page information should be. The pc users do not have this same problem. When I replace our regular font (URW Grotesk) with a system font (Verdana) everyone is able to read the page numbers. This is a new issues, I have been creating these documents in the same way for years without a problem. I have been on hold and on and off calls for the last two hours, I keep getting hung up on once I find someone in adobe support to talk to!

How can i move to a new page in smartform?

i hav a smartform with two pages.
the fist page contains the Main window and 3 Secondary windows.
in the 1st page i'm displaying some line items and in the main window i gave the command to
go to Page 2.
the 2nd page contains only one Secondary Window.
in that i want to display a table with many line items.
if it contains only 20 line items its works fine; becoz of the window size.
how can i move to a new page if it contains more line items?

You need to create main Window on second page also.
And in Form Attributes..there is an option for Next page.
So there you mention the next page name.
This will solve the problem.
