Can I not use a family members credit card to buy a new phone?

I'm looking to upgrade to a new phone, but due to limits on my own debit card, I would like to use a family members credit card but it seems I'm unable to do so. Is there a way around that?

rooster208, what issues are you having with making the purchase? What error message are you receiving? The card has to have a Visa or Mastercard Logo. We do allow this type of transaction. Here is a link below for information regarding our payments for the bill or purchases.

If you do not have AppleCare+ on your iPhone, Apple reportedly now will replace the screen in an iPhone 5 for US $149. There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to do the repair for less than Apple's out-of-warranty charge. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Do you mean an iTunes Card, the kind sold at Wal-Mart? Sure, that will work.
"Pre-paid" and "credit" are mutually exclusive.
I believe this way of thinking about it ought to be valid: if you need a PIN code, the card won't work.
I don't use debit cards so I can't be certain if this will apply consistently, but let me know if that makes sense.

It's not, if you bought your iPhone from a provider that offers unlocking.
AT&T have made a business decision to lock iPhones they sell to their network. That is their policy, and they haven't changed it for anyone. That is their decision.
If, for instance, you had bought your iPhone from O2 in the UK, you would've been able to get it unlocked, as O2 have made a business decision to offer unlocking to their customers if they want it.
Different mobile networks around the world have different policies on:
a) whether to sell the phone locked or unlocked to their customers
b) whether to offer after-sales unlocking as a service to their customers
Also, in some countries there are laws governing the locking and unlocking of phones. Networks have to abide be these local laws too.
Unfortunately, you didn't do any research on AT&T's policies before buying your iPhone for their network, which is why you are in this predicament.
Your only option is to sell your iPhone and buy one for the country you want to use it in.

If you are sure you have never used it for any Apple ID in the past my best guess is that Apple "knows" that "info" is a reserved *nix UID, along with others, such as "postmaster", "root", "abuse", etc. If it's your domain why don't you add a new email address just for your Apple ID. It's what I did with the server I manage.

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to deactivate Find My iPhone on a device that does not work. Thanks for the reply. I think I figured out the problem. Apple has confused (at least in my mind) the different IDs that people can have. In the iCloud settings, they use the term Apple ID and not iCloud ID. I guess there really is no such thing as an iCloud ID. There are Apple IDs with various attributes. This is not clearly explained or easy to see (how could I look up to see if my Apple ID is associated with iTunes for example?).
I created, what I thought were iCloud IDs for each family member, but we all use my Apple ID for iTunes.
One other question - why does the syncing of Notes using iCloud require an @me.com email account. That makes no sense to me.

Sad but true, I've tried to pay for iTunes Match with my credit and couldn't because it's a subscription service, regardless the credit amount I have. The system ask me to pay with my credit card too.

First, your store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. iTunes Store credit on your account isn't shared with other family members. So if the family organizer has a $50 credit on their account and another family member initiates a purchase, it won't deduct from the organizer's iTunes Store credit, but will bill the organizer's credit or debit card.

Ok so i know this has been asked before and I think I get the gist of it. I currently have the Dinc and am giving it to my bro for his upgrade. My Dinc has insurance and unlimited data. I know I will have to activate it on his line before mine. My question is if I choose to add insurance (and of course the data plan) to his line, will the phones both still have valid insurance even though they switched lines?

I am from Bangladesh, I recently bouhgt iPad Air 2. Now I am interested to buy Apps from iTunes Store with my Credit Card, Can I? I am asking this question because yesterday I used my credit card to buy GoodReader Apps with price tag $0.99 from iTunes Store, after clicked BUY option then I put my credit card information as soon as Apps Store showing me a message that my address mismatch with the provided with the bank. As a result I haven't able BUY the App from the store, but my credit card account charged with $0.99. But I did not got the app GoodReader with price Tag $0.99.
Please give me a proper guide. And also why the iTunes Store charged my credit card account though they have not permit me to buy the app? How to claim to reverse the amount?

Each time that you try to add a card, or change its details on an account, a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - your card issuer should remove within a few days or so.

In terms of buying content, you have to be in a country to use its store, and have a billing address in that country on your account (you also cannot use a credit card issued by a bank from another country). As far as I can see there isn't currently an iTunes store in Bangladesh, until if/when Apple open one then unfortunately you won't be able to buy any iTunes content (apps, music etc)

Family sharing not showing other family members' purchases

I installed Family Sharing about a week ago. It worked great, and everyone was able to download music (didn't try apps). Now not listing any family members under Purchased in iTunes (whether on Mac or iOS). Same for other family members. In app store, I see other family members listed, but, if I click on it, it says they have no purchases (clearly not true). Tried all hints at If you don't see your family's shared content - Apple Support with no luck. Also, fully disabled family sharing and then re-invited everyone, but still no luck. Any idea how to correct this issue?
