Can I now stream webbrowser content to my TV via ATV (such as Hulu)

Now that the ATV has an HDMI out and an optical audio out, I'll probably pull the trigger and buy one. But What I'd really like to do is stream audio/video from my web browser (Safari or Firefox) to my HDTV. Will this unit allow me to do that? I can already use "Airfoil" to stream web browser audio to my Airport Express and that's then hooked up to my stereo so I can listen to Pandora.
Can this work similarly with web browser video?

I'm disappointed too. I subscribe to a couple of streaming services for live sports. The feeds are HD and I hook up the powerbook to an HDMI cable to watch on it the TV (bit of a pain but it works). I'd really, really prefer to stream that wirelessly to an AppleTV box permanently hooked up to the TV.
For me, AppleTV will not provide access to everything I want to watch/stream. Too bad -- was really hoping it would.

Why can't i stream hd content with my apple tv anymore?

up until the recent updates the Apple TV had been working quite nicely and nothing in my setup has changed, but I now find that whenever I try to access any HD content (standard definition is fine), it's so slow that the movie or tv show never starts. It says it will be ready in upwards of 25 minutes! The Apple TV is connected via ethernet directly to the router. I've tried restarting all the equipment, including the routers with no success. I disabled QoS in the router as suggested - no improvement. I tried disabling Dolby Digital as suggested - no improvement. Bearing in mind it all worked fine prior to the last 2 updates.
Speedtest on the network shows downloads at 15Mbps so speed should not be an issue. I can't even access the HD content that I've downloaded and have available on my local computer which is also connected to the Ethernet network directly - no wireless. Same issue - content never starts, just sits there endlessly. Doesn't seem to load any content on the progress bar in the window either. Switch the AppleTV to Standard Definition and off it goes!
Clearly this is some kind of firmware/software issue with the Apple TV thats probably arisen in the recent updates, and judging by the comments in the support forums, has shown up at various times over the lifetime of the Apple TV product. When will Apple be resolving this? Are they working on a fix?

I have a buffer[] Objekt with encapsulates my Audiodata. I now have to make a DataSource out of my Buffer Object so that I can stream it via an RTP Manager.
How to do it?

You have to create a custom DataSource and a custom stream for the DataSource. The custom stream must implement/override the read() method. The JMF calls read() to get data from the stream to send via RTP. In the body of the read method, you will take a chunk of your buffer[] data and put it into the Buffer object passed as a parameter.

How can I AirPlay my iTunes content to a friend's ATV?

AirPlay works fine sharing content between my own iTunes library content and my own ATV . . . but when I take my laptop to my friend's house I cannot connect my content to her ATV to play my library content to her ATV via AirPlay. I successfully connect to her newtork but her ATV does not come up as an option, and in playback my content controls show no AirPlay icon in the playback control tool. Am I missing a step in connection or is this typical for ATVs? THX

Are both devices connected to the same network? This is a requirement for AirPlay to work. If you are connecting to a guest network, it is most likely kept seperate from the main network for security reasons.

Can apple tv stream from nas?

I have a Netgear ReadyNas Duo. With all my media from ITunes and the Firefly-Mediaserver is working on it. Can Apple-TV stream this content from my NAS without an working PC?

I have an Airport Extreme, but it works with other routers as well. Find out what communication standard your router supports. DLNA or SMB.
The Airport Extreme I use does not support the DLNA standards which most external drives like LaCie Fule or DW My Cloud use. I found out it supports the SMB standard though. So a quick search on the App Store with SMB as the keyword showed up a few file managment apps and the first I tried worked!
It's called FileExplorer Free and can access files on your external drive attached to your Airport Extreme. There were more hits but since the first app I found worked I didn't bother to check out the other apps.
I tried FileExplorer with songs first and it worked. You can listen to your songs with your iPhone or iPad or Airplay them to your Airport Express and listen to them at your home audio system. I couldn't hear any loss of quality.
It also works with yorur movies. Just select the movie and watch it on your iDevice or Airplay it to your Apple TV. Works with HD movies as well with no problems. Only downside was that the Apple TV can only display .mp4 files. Even the movies bought on iTunes won't work with the app and the Apple TV. So I had to convert a few movies using the free converter HandBrake.
FileExplorer works with other types of files like photos or documenst too. Oh and as a bonus: The FileExplorer app can also access your library from the DropBox or Google Drive. Works with NAS drives as well. Looks like you need the paid version though for those extras.
In case your router supports DLNA search for a DLNA app like 8player.
So finally I can move my big movie collection to my external drive and still watch it without the need for the Mac or iTunes to run. Hope this helps you too.

Yes you can, but you'll need to copy the contents of your iPod over to her iTunes library first because when you try to sync it with a different iTunes library you'll be prompted to erase and sync the iPod before you add content to it from your new library.

Can we use WebCenter Sites content store in WebCenter Portal

Hi,
Can we use WebCenter Sites Content Store as the default content store in WebCenter Portal?
I need to create website in WebCenter Sites, all the content will be stored in Sites Content Store. I also need to integrate WebCenter Portal with Sites content store to fetch contents from the store and display it in Portal. I do not wish to purchase WebCenter Content.
Is this possible?

Well , as suggested by jiri machotka, you can go for version 11.1.1.8.0 version with proper license.
However,if you are using earlier versions than I must say that-
It's going to be very very complex and cumbersome development process al-together . (at least for me) .Because why I am telling this is -
The content repository structure of (webcenter site's CA server )is completely different from UCM (webcenter content server and preferred cms for portal).
In previous threads ,lot of things are being discussed about this issue.
In my opinion,you can very well integrate sites content to portal pages via REST API. Documentation is available.

Apart from it, you can also do -
1. Gadgets - You can consume Gadgets from WebCenter Portal, some examples with Google Gadgets are available in OTN.

You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that. iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.
I guess you could also look into getting iTunes Match.

I have icloud. I have backed up my photos from my iPhone 5 to my iPad. Can I now delete the photos from my phone and they will stay on my iPad? I need to clear space in order to run an update.

I get the following warning message when deleting a shared Phoyo Stream:
"Name of Stream" will be deleted from all of your devices and the devices of subscribers."
It pops up because that is what will happen. It does not mean photos stored locally in iPhoto on your Mac will be deleted.
If iPhoto is set to automatically import photos in your Photo Stream and store locally on Mac, you are covered with photos copied to "My Photo Steam". I don't believe that includes the photos in a shared photo stream you create or that you accept which was created by someone else. I can add photos to a shared stream from photos on my iPhone that were transferred from my computer. If those were saved by iPhoto on my Mac as well which are already in iPhoto on my Mac, I would not want that.

Yes, absolutely, but before you do, give yourself three or four days to verify that you have everything on the new phone. You also probably will not be able to delete old backup for three days anyway, I have heard that Apple places server in three days lock out after restore from backup initially started.

Revised: can I stream internet content from a cell phone network to the apple tv?

So I am trying to stream internet content from my iphone (phone network) to the Apple TV. I currently do not have internet at my house. What I do have is a macbook pro, airport express, ipad (wifi only), and of course iphone and apple tv. So is there a way to configure these devices to somehow stream my phone content to my apple tv. As of now the only way to connect the iphone to the apple tv is through wifi; the bluetooth that apple tv supports is elementary and will not support this connection. When the iphone is on a wifi network it automatically tries to use it for internet content. So 1 option would have to be a work around for making the iphone use the cell phone network for pulling internet content and using the wifi to broadcast this content to the apple tv. Another option would be to connect the iphone with the macbook pro via bluetooth (somehow) and then mirror the macbook pro to the apple tv via the wifi network setup with the airport express. ANY IDEAS?

You wouldnt be able to to use both networks at the same time. Either need to connect the Apple TV to the cell network (which will require a lot of data and impact battery life) or get a home plan and broadcast over the local network (wifi)
