Can I obtain a CD-ROM with the latest revision of Adobe Reader for a Windows XP system w/ Service Pack 3. I do not want to go online with this system. I have dedicated it to read all of my PDF Files only.
I have 4 computer systems, 2 of which run under Windows XP w/ Service Pack 3. I have dedicated these systems to the task of reading all of my PDF Files which I have collected from my recent college career. The desktop system I want to use is an old Dell Optiplex GX240 with Acrobat Reader 4.0. The other Windows XP system I have is an old HP Laptop with Adobe Reader 8.1.4 installed. I want to update both systems to the latest version that is available for Windows XP w/Service Pack 3 installed. So, because I do not want to place these system online, would it be possible for me to obtain a copy of the Adobe Reader software I need on a CD-ROM? - Ken DeWitt, a 68-Year-Young Vietnam Veteran and recent college graduate...Summa Cum Laude.

You might also want to consider uninstalling Adobe Flash... I currently don't have it installed and haven't needed to install it. Most websites are now coded in HTML 5 so that the iOS devices can actually visit them. I can still watch YouTube videos et al. About the only thing I can't do is play Flash games... but they're a resource hog anyways.
Try going without for a day or two and see just how many sites you visit no longer require it. A lot of people keep it installed out of habit, not out of necessity. If you have Flash installed, visit a site and it's out of date, it will tell you to update your Flash. What it won't do is tell you is that had Flash not been installed, it would have used the HTML 5 code instead. Think about it... if an iOS device can't run Flash at all... it can't visit this site if it were written only to use Flash. What site would eliminate such a huge portion of their market base? You'd be surprised at how many sites use HTML 5. Uninstall Flash and see for yourself. -
with the latest IOS 7.0.3 for my iPhone, it no longer syncs with iTunes. I've run the diagnostics for syncing and it says everything is working, which it clearly isn't. Is there anything to be done without restoring iPhone? Thanks
update : so after reading numerous posts, I tried unchecking entire playlist and just tried one of my playlists. That sync seemed to work, so I rechecked entire playlist and did the sync. It worked. Then I went in to my "walk to work" playlist and added some songs to see if it would sync now, and it did!!! so happy now. will see what happens tomorrow.

The cause of the need to revert to the last known good operating condition was trying to download a file from a Yahoo discussion group. The download froze the machine. When Firefox was restarted, it froze on loading, at first step of loading multiple windows and tabs. Many reboots to the same frozen state led to revert to the last restore point. That produced equivalent results on startup of Firefox, the option of F8 and revert to last known good operating condition was done. Everything seemingly operate OK, with the exception of the pop-up dialog boxes on shutdown of Firefox .

I just down loaded the latest and greatest itunes and Ipod touch software. went thru all the steps, my wife did the same for her itouch on her computer. Hers is frozen, can't complete the restore, mine won't sync all the apps and music to the ipod. Where do I go from here?

I recently purchased a Brother MFC-J870DW printer in order to print 2 sided documents but when using Adobe Reader the dialogue box does not have that option. Short of turning the paper over, is there any other solution?
If you're trying to print from an iPad or iPhone in Reader, printing is controlled by the iOS print dialog, which has no controls for double-sided printing. Send your request to Apple.

AaliaHi, well I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. We'll see what the problem may be. First to answer your question,
the OS means operating system. Which if you are using Windows, then your OS is Vista. It could be XP or the newest one
which is Windows7, Win7 for short. Now if someone is using a Mac, then that would be their OS.
Now your computer and all computers can install and run Flash Player. However there are a few things that can cause a problem, so I'll list a few.
The first thing and most important is that you must be the Administrator of your computer. If this is your computer and you set up the accounts, the first account set up would be the Administrator account. You can look at that as the "Boss"
Now some people will set up accounts for other people but they are not Administrator accounts, they are called User or Limited accounts. They cannot be "Boss":-) There are some other things, but I'm stating it this way, so you can better understand.
When you Install programs, like Flash Player, you have to use the Administrator account to do so.
Don't think you are the only one having problems. We'll find out what it is and fix it.
Since using the Administrator account is the most important, I want you to go down to where the clock it. With your mouse, right click over the time that is showing. Then when the small window opens, left click on Adjust Date/Time.
Then post back and tell me what you saw.

It was just a hunch that MircoNetFrame was causing the problem. I disabled it as you suggested, and I still have the problem.
I just changed under Tools>Options> General - had checked "ask me every time" under downloads, so instead of asking me, FF saved the download to I know not where. It no longer saves it to the desktop, leaving a duplicate in "my documents".
In windows, I have found unless one knows the entire name of the document, one can never find anything. It isn't listed under recent ''''''__. I can't recall the nomenclature, but the
capability is ridiculous. So, I don't know where that file I just downloaded is!
I downloaded a PDF file, but this happens with all DL's. It was so easy to have them all stacked in one place and I could recall
what I had and when I downloaded it easily.
Do you have any other suggestions other that going back to the old version of FF, which I would rather not do?

I purchased my mac Sept 2011 with the latest version of iphoto. Every time I try to do an iphoto update I'm always asked to log in with the name I used to purchase the app. Does this mean that I have to purchase the latest update? I thought the updates were free and if it so, how do I actually update iphoto?
DId you Accept the apps when you bought the Mac? In the App Store go to the Purchases List and press Accept there. Then you'll be able to update. If that's not available then you'll need to contact App Store support.

Will roboform 6 work with the latest firefox
I have the paid for version of roboform 6 and do not intend to pay for their latest version. I am using firefox 3.6 but keep being nagged to upgrade to the latest version. If I cannot use roboform with the latest version I will look for a browser that can.
No, RoboForm ver 6 supports only Firefox ver 3.

Hi. I have a Dell PC running Windows 7 64 bit. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader, It worked yesterday. Today I have job training to do that is due tomorrow morning and I can't open PDF files. I have to open a guide and read it and take a test tomorrow. I have deleted and reinstalled the application. I have rebooted. I have made sure my PDF's are associated with the program. Every PDF on my computer won't open and I get the same error message. It simply says Attempt to access invalid address. How can I fix this? Thanks.

I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
BEFORE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
AFTER:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.old

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Thanks for your assistance. If there is another Adobe reader I should download and install, could you provide me with the link to it? I appreciate your assistance here

Hi, I've an iPad Mini with the latest version 6.0.2, a windows 7 Home Premium laptop and iTunes 11.0.1 (12), but I can't synchronize my music or videos with it. I managed to syncronize my books but thats all.
I also have an iphone 5 and everything seems to work fine with it.
I see all movies and music available to be sync but when I click on the sync button, the process starts, the bottom bar shows an increase in consumed space then nothing happens and the bar goes back as nothing was added.

How can I print a full frame photo from iPhoto 11? Even though I click on scale to fit paper size, it crops both ends of the photo in landscape set up. I have an Epson R1800 with the latest drivers. (I'm also 3 days new to iMac and iPhoto 11 from an eMac and iPhoto 6.)

Image size jumps from 10.3mp to 58.9mp?
